  1. So you didn't answer the question did you mtommo. To remind you, it was 'who are the posters 'over rating' Klindt'. If you are expecting Klindt to be averaging 8pts and winning most of his races and are criticising him for not doing so, you're doing the over rating. I do find it quite amusing that some of those posters who like to attack Klindt for his inconsistency are also advocating us signing Edward Kennett!
  2. As Kennett has been busted again, you're wrong. As for the other two instances, hardly comparable. Only ones over rating him are the ones criticising him.
  3. Its easily done.. done it in the past, but with this guy, best ignored. If everyone did he'd get bored and go away.
  4. And still they react.. Of course he can stand the heat.. he posts for one reason... to get the heat!
  5. The real problem is the puppets that KKS/DStapleton controls. We can all spot who he is. Just flamin IGNORE! It really is so very very simple. Don't respond to him, he will go away.
  6. Really.. Seem to remember something different happen in 1987 when Ermolenko picked off Morton at Hyde Road as Wolves won 40-38. Totally agree. For those talking about Correy being a gating tart.. Sure, most of his races were won from the gate, however he broke the track record at Monmore in 1990 when he was 4th entering turn 3. Passing Shawn Moran, Bobby Ott and Richard Knight in the process.
  7. That extra £2 is going to take a long time for you to recover from isn't it...
  8. Remember him well, was quite handy round Dudley Wood as I remember, as 21CH says, especially in the junior league. Remember him picking up some scalps in the 1st team too.
  9. No, I didn't. I simply said, in 20 years of attending speedway at Monmore, nobody has been winning races by such distances, and had such speed on the straights. Not Nielsen, not Ermolenko, not Max, Not PK, not Lindgren.
  10. Nothing wrong with Ward's silencer... Although in 20 years of attending Monmore Green, I have never, ever seen anyone the length of the straight ahead of PK after 3 laps... The fact is, cheating is rife in speedway, it always is. Checks take place so rarely that riders know they are 99% certain to get away with it.
  11. Opinions do not come into it. Its a fact. Both Nascar and Formula One are motorsports. Both have had a number of controversies with teams looking to gain advantages mechanically (often illegally). Teams have been caught on many occasions. Neither sport appears to be on its death bed as a result.
  12. Hypothetical situation.. Promoters get wind (or have known for a while) there is much cheating going on with the silencers. Team A decides in a very important play off match to enforce some checks. Team A informs its own riders beforehand.. make sure you are using a legal silencer. Match goes ahead, Team A protests.. a rider from Team B found out.. Team A of course, regardless of who is checked are all fine. Still, such things would never happen in speedway.. would they?
  13. If there were any credence to this, then Formula One and Nascar would have been dead and buried years ago. Yet it seems they are still going strong. Talk about over reacting!
  14. Pay no heed, who knows which of those riders that are 'seriously offended' were doing it themselves.
  15. lmao, get a grip. This is motorsport. This goes on at every level in every competition in the world, including the big ones like Formula One and Nascar. Teams are always getting fined and crew chiefs suspended in Nascar for running with an illegal car.
  16. There'd be something wrong with the world if the Heathens fans weren't booing Sam! However, I am sure, like the vast majority of Wolves fans respect Jan O, they respect Sam too.
  17. Yep.. your wires are crossed. Its fair to say, Jan O looks a lot better on a bike than Bruce did
  18. Who is saying he would score big points? He would still be capable of averaging 5-6pts. However, his body will not stand up to the demands of a full seasons racing. When interviewed on WM last night he explained as much. It wasn't the fact that he didn't want to ride anymore, or that he couldn't do it. He couldn't keep up the training required to stay fit enough for top flight racing. He suffered more injuries than most riders throughout his career. Very few have suffered the level of injuries he did and come back to be as good. In his last but one season (final for Wolves) at age 44 he was a heat leader, averaging nigh on 8, in a far tougher league. His final year at Peterboro he averaged about 6. He had a terrible spell where he barely scored for 4 or 5 meetings too as he tried to ride with an injury. He explained if his knees and ankles were ok, he would still be racing now, he clearly still loves it. Its hypothetical, but if that scenario had happened he would be an inconsistent rider, as he was in his final year. Capable of scoring big one meeting and very few the next. As for Jan O, I have heard some try to write him off already. Even the radio commentators were suggesting it was a bridge too far etc. However, as he said himself, he always knew he wasn't going to win a race last night. As you say Wanna, Sam has been racing a few times a year generally since his retirement. Jan O's not rode in a 'race' in 19 years. He will get there, he has to build up race fitness and get used to race conditions again. I truly hope he is able to enjoy a couple of years in the sport as it means so much to him.
  19. True, at Sams testimonial they had to open the front of the pits and cram a number in there. However, its great to hear that the meeting was so well supported. Got to get Wolves and Cradley back in the same league, even if they share a track. Where there's a will, there's a way.
  20. Have you ever met KKS? You'd get on just great.
