You don't need to be hit by a car to be killed when riding a bike. You can fall of a bike at very slow speed, hit the back of your head on concrete and be killed. It may not happen often, but it happens. Wearing a helmet will vastly reduce the chances of that happening.

The decision is the correct one. It is the intial decision that was wrong. It appears though that corruption or incompetence rife within the sport has been well and truly exposed with these events. I really look forward to hearing some of the comments of the BSPA/SCB apologists who of course revelled in informing me I was wrong over the original decision (when I said Kings Lynn had done no wrong). They're faced with choosing whether their beloved governing bodies are either a: Incompetent or b: Corrupt.

Not quite sure what you mean here.. Age isn't and hasn't been a problem for PK. My point is that when a team like Wolves are faced with keeping two of Lindgren, Woffinden and PK, they are going to side with the younger rider.

Then that is the fault of Eurosport and their inability to get the sound mix right.

I fail to see where an event is held makes any difference whatsoever. I assume you expect BBC/ITV to show no bias towards England should they reach the World Cup in Brazil. Or show any bias when Europe are playing the US in the Ryder Cup on American shores. One person who doesn't get enough credit is Jacko. It's all well and good having the engine tuned but the setup on the night is just as crucial and Jacko, his chief mechanic will play a huge part in this. Totally agree with your assessment of the meeting, it was very poor racing wise. Not that I am too concerned at the moment, I'm just cheering Tai on.

Wolverhampton as a club have excellent continuity to be fair. It's only due to points limits, which are a necessary evil that riders such as Sam Ermolenko, Ronnie Correy, Peter Karlsson, Adam Skornicki have ever rode for another club. PK especially has been a victim so many times when, simply due to his age he would be left out in favour of riders like Tai and Freddie.

No they won't. Only a few ignorant ones would. Holder was a long way behind Woffinden already, and as Woffindens scoring has continued unabated there is little chance he could have made any inroads. Woffinden is already AHEAD of Emil, despite crashing out of one GP himself (losing 5-6 pts min) in the process, plus riding with an injury after that.

Sadly this thread just highlights the state of the BSF. We have a newsworthy incident here worthy of discussion. It's clearly happened as there are several witnesses and riders involved have tweeted about it.... However, of course certain trollers decide to just launch an attack on one of the posters. It's perfectly relevant to be in the EL section. Lewis Bridger is an EL rider. Many would not even have seen news of the incident if it was just contained in the NL thread.

Why no Tai or Freddie in this? Bit strange for a meeting held at Wolves.

I've never been to Buxton before, one of the few tracks I haven't. Someone mentioned to me that Sam (Ermolenko) was riding, so it looks like I'll be flying over to take in this meeting for sure.

It can't be so though.. some tell us the riders ride for our entertainment! Ah you're referring to a meeting that finished 53-40.. fair enough, take of the 3pts from the tac ride. 50-40. Same result, 3 pts to Kings Lynn. The old system, although most us prefer it as we grew up with it was so much unfairer. Lets say you are riding a team with a big top 2. You gradually extend your lead until you get to Heat 13 and you are 8-10 pts up. Current system you fancy your chances, as even allowing for 2 5-1's again in 13 and 15, you're stronger in heat 14. Not so in the old system... a 4-2 or 5-1 (depending if they away team was 8 or 10 down as they would ensure they are 6 down going into heat 14) in 13.. a double tac sub in heat 14, a race the home team on paper were going to gain an advantage in.. suddenly its a 5-1 to the away team.. then the same pairing come out again to finish the job in heat 15. Top heavy teams were far far more favoured under the old system.

I don't disagree with you, indeed I would have thought it was safer as most speedway crashes are in the first turn when 4 riders hit the bend together. Fact remains though, some riders wouldn't take them. Jason Crump to name one.
