  1. Nice try, but no it doesn't. Morris was there to work for Middleditch. I'm sure he will have ideas of his own if given the chance.
  2. I've attended hundreds of football matches, including many 2nd legs and never has the stadium announcer announced the 1st leg score before the game. I also find it hard to believe that the 1st leg score could not be found on any internet site either. It would be on the BSPA official site, speedway updates to name just two. As for your split-personality issue, its quite easy to have a different IP address. As I said before, you make some decent points but ruin it somewhat by the 'double post'.
  3. Bridget whoops.. but we'll stick with it! Billy Hamill/Steve Evans didn't race the bikes for the USA either but they were an integral part of their team finishing higher than a far stronger UK team.
  4. So once again a load of waffle and no answer of the question. How about you give us the pedigree of fisher, wells and manzares and explain just how they are better than Harris, cook, barker, king, Bridget etc. You are utterly, utterly wrong in your statement that we do not have the same depth of rider. This has been PROVEN to you and any sensible adult would admit that.
  5. IF Proctor had maintained his form, nobody would have got near them. He was averaging almost 9 per match (not from reserve either). All ifs and buts.
  6. Why has the same person created two usernames to make effectively the same post? Or are we to believe that 'Bradford Hawk' and 'Screen Machine' are different people. There's some reasonable points in there, however it serves no purpose by not naming the tracks. As for 'not knowing what is needed' to progress in the playoffs? I'm very confused by this, you will need to explain more. If its a two-legged match (you mentioned 2nd leg) then you simply have to win by more than the other team did in the 1st leg... not entirely sure what is complicated about that. Perhaps it was in the PL playoffs where there is a group system (you don't make this clear)? Even then it's pretty irrelevant to speedways main problems. If you attend a football match they don't announce before the match you need to win by 'this amount' to go through, or to finish in a certain place in the league.
  7. And the USA? How many creditable riders do they have in their line-up? This is a country that BEAT us, so rather than make me 'clueless' it is actually very relevant to your claim that nobody could do better. Now it's a simple question and one which you are refusing to answer isn't it.
  8. And whose job is it to instill the PMA into the riders? Oh yes, the team manager.
  9. We have worked it out, do explain to us how you feel the USA team is better. Here's a simple reality check for you. Woffinden is better than Hancock, although given Greg's experience etc we'll call that an equal match. Harris is better than Fisher. Barker is better than Wells And any GB rider is WAY above Manzares. So why did we lose to them? Quite simply, they were motivated by a passionate management team. Tai Woffinden was supposedly not good enough to compete in the GP either. However he chose not to take that attitude.
  10. What penny? Tai Woffiden Chris Harris Ben Barker Lewis Bridger Craig Cook Danny King Pick 4 of those to beat this team.. Greg Hancock, Ryan Fisher, Ricky Wells, Gino Manzares.
  11. It's precisely this attitude which will see the team go nowhere. Did you see the USA take such an attitude? They set goals, lofty goals, some even laughed at them due to the set of riders they had available. But lo and behold, they hit them and in some cases even exceeded. Why? Because they had a proper enthusiastic inspirational management team behind them who don't hide behind the "We haven't got enough riders" excuse.
  12. Exactly.. kind of a conflicting argument put forward by Ghostwalker.
  13. That's because more often than not (with some exceptions) they are the best riders. Not quite sure why everyone is so pro sec/one sport. Their actions over the Woffinden affair showed how unprofessional they are.
  14. I had an interesting discussion with regards to this whole project a few weeks ago on a flight back to Portugal. The gentleman I was sat next too has a construction business that is likely to be involved in this project. He seems 100% certain it will be going ahead, mainly due to the involvement of the Man City owners. I meant to post at the time when the info he gave me was fresher in my head, so forgive me for lack of details. It all sounded positive however... but as others have said, these things take time to go through the various planning stages.
  15. As the discussion on the thread is regarding the talk-in, which was to discuss the events of the 2013 season as well as look forward it is very relevant.
  16. Did anyone bother to ask why Peter Adams totally mismanaged the reserves during the playoff meeting against Birmingham? Mis-management that cost the team anything from 8-16 pts?
  17. Don't know what the fuss is about. Lindgren has the best moustache so he should be in. End of.
  18. Thanks Phil, Some interesting info there. I would question the lack of one off purchases with Exact Editions, I can't see how it would cost them or yourselves anything extra. I am sure you would get more sales too as some people just like to buy the odd edition. Looking forward to it though.
  19. It doesn't work like that. You would be accessing them through your own account, which is setup on a particular device. Not sure what you mean here, but if you're talking about no need for paper based subscriptions then at the moment of course there would be a need as many folk would still prefer to read it that way. However many magazines include access to the online version as well to subscribers of the paper version. As I said earlier, you're not printing off extra copies, you're creating a copy once. Also not sure what you mean abut wandering off into BSF land, people who are genuinely interested in the product are asking questions about it. Nothing wrong with that.
  20. There is no automated order processing for an online magazine?? The very idea of that beggars belief. I could go and create a pdf document right now. Put it online and sell it. For one off purchasers I would have to do zero work, they would pay, the money would be processed, they'd receive the document and I would have no involvement. Anyway as you say its good news and I would be getting a subscription anyway, but by not having the opportunity for the casual purchaser you are losing business in my opinion.
  21. I still don't understand what you mean by practical and affordable. Its not like printing numerous copies? One digital edition is created, that can be downloaded. What difference does it make if someone buys one copy or subscribes to a larger number?
  22. Hi Phil, Out of interest, how is a single copy not practical? Every online magazine I have come across has single copies available for purchase, surely once the magazine is created and stored online its simply a matter of paying your money and downloading a copy? I may be missing something and perhaps there are other magazines out there that are subscription only.
