  1. It is perfectly clear. All you need to do is read. Also, how on earth do you work out that Peterboro 'by rights' should have been in the play-offs.
  2. You're confused Never too Old. In an effort to keep it simple, it's as you say, clockwise rider once behind.. pie chucking from 7pts down (can be used unlimited times, but pies per heat are determined by pts behind as in Never to Olds post). The Water cannon only kicks in at 10pts down and can only be used twice and must be operated by the team manager. Each team manager will be allocated an average, dependent upon his success rate with the cannon and this average will count towards team building in future years. They haven't announced how this average will be calculated yet, other than Neil Middleditch will be given a 0.00 average. Edited to add: The water cannon and ALL pies can only be purchased from Barry Briggs.
  3. I heard from a well informed source in the cafe across the road that the deal requires there to be a clockwise race every 3 heats. Additionally if a team falls more than 10pts behind they can fire a water cannon at the away riders, but only head on down the straights for safety purposes.. of course they run the risk of shooting their own riders too so a level of skill is required. Team Managers only to operate the cannon. The shots from the CannonCam should be spectacular.
  4. What is the title of the Sailing console game out of interest? I know of PC games, but not console. Speedway also has quite a number of PC games. Oops, hadn't seen this. You are correct, there have been a number of speedway games on the PC. A series of games by Techland, who provided the official licenced version. There are versions on iOS available now too.. not sure about Android but I assume there is. Also a game called Extreme Speedway from a few years back.
  5. Hardly possible for me to do the same thing as there hasn't been an endless stream of propaganda from BSI has there.
  6. Oooh... Triple Point races!! White Knight will love it as the double pters are gone, we'll hate it.
  7. There will be more and more propaganda coming from Poland, of that there is no doubt. It matters not whether its true or not true, folk will lap it up and flock to the banner of the poor old mistreated OneSport against the evil BSI.
  8. And that is why the sport will continue on its steady decline.
  9. He hasn't made claims of the sort at all. He has spoken sense throughout this thread, whereas you have shown yourself to be completely naive and way out of touch with modern life and how to get something noticed. You've shown that again here in this post. You have the same sort of attitude that business such as Blockbuster, HMV etc had.. ignoring the online world until it was too late and other businesses passed you by.
  10. Does that not tell you something? Absolutely spot on. It all comes back to the old problem.. the same problem that sees owners like Sandhu driven out of the sport. It's a mates club.. and it is never going to grow and progress while it is that way.
  11. It's not going to happen though, as you can see from this thread, some folk think its 'daft'. Seems the 'daft' businesses are the ones getting ahead, while the ones who aren't 'daft' refuse to change, get stuck in the past and wither away and die.
  12. No, it has nothing to do with the sportsmen with the most personality at all. The award is for the most succesful sportsmen (who happen to be personalities within their sport) in the given year.
  13. Don't think there is a rule. Rosco said last year he didn't want Doyle and Morris in the Swindon team because they were on the same team and it could cause problems.. nothing was said about a rule preventing it.
  14. I agree, to be honest I don't think many are though and it's crazy the thread is drifting in that direction. Tennis IS one of the most demanding sports you can play. If you consider that's its a constant sequence of bursts of energy, constant change of direction etc. Basic physics tells you when you are constantly stopping and starting, running one way then the other, its a lot more demanding than running the same distance in a straight line non stop. Not only that but there are other exertions in tennis, each shot taken is often akin to throwing a punch in a boxing match, each serve expends even more energy and taxes other parts of the body. Attacking such a sport will do speedway no favors, in fact quite the opposite. All this boils down to is there is one name on the list who quite simply should not be there in any way shape or form, that is Ainslie. There are many more worthy candidates for that place in the top 10, of which Tai was just ONE of them. To say he definately SHOULD have been on the list is going too far.
  15. It really does beggar belief how some people seem to be flocking to the banner of 'Onesport'. Do we want the World Championship put in the hands of an effectively mafioso body? We've seen how they operate and we are seeing further examples of it now. Non-stop progaganda via the polish website, much of it half truths or total lies to whip up support for their agenda. We've seen them blatantly continue to advertise Tai Woffinden as racing in the final round of the SEC last year, causing issues for the rider himself, when they knew all along and had indeed been informed he would not be riding. We've seen how the owner of Torun acts (big player in this) when he doesn't get his own way. He makes Matt Ford look like an angel. Pulling his team out of the 2nd leg of a Play-off Final just because he couldn't bully his way to a postponement? What are we to expect next? Cancellation of Championship rounds if his rider can't make that meeting? Now we have these threats from Emil, who just happens to be a Torun rider.... There isn't an app as such Humphrey, but you can subscribe through Exact Editions and it is viewable on the IPad, it's how I read it myself.
  16. They have to pull the trigger, that's a physical exertion
  17. No. The process is as follows. Before the draft begins the 4 clubs with the protected riders are given the choice of taking that rider, or passing on them. If Poole chose to pass on Newman he would then be available to draft. The draft then begins, with 1st pick going to Coventry. They can choose from any rider on the list + any rider effectively released by the 4 clubs above. In the 1st round of picks, those who took a protected rider don't make a pick. The 2nd round then begins, with the team who had the lowest ranked rider in Round 1 picking first, through to the team with the highest ranked rider picking last.
  18. Wasn't my definition. Besides, there is physical exertion in darts. Or do the darts propel themselves into the board
  19. All sports began as recreational activtiies, or GAMES. Regardless WK. You are wrong, in every single aspect. Its not something that is even up for 'opinion'. Darts meets the definition of Sport in every single way. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sports#Board_sports References the World Sports Encylopedia which, guess what, Darts is there of course. Definition of sport " an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment" Darts meets the criteria. It is also officially classified by Sport England as a Sport. So it's not 'opinion'. Its Fact.
  20. You haven't debated anything WK. You have stated Darts isn't a sport because fat people can be successful at it. Now, not only is that wrong, it also very offensive. I am still waiting for your explanation why golf is a sport as 'fat people' can be successful at that too. What about NFL? Is that a sport? There are many 'fat' players. Even Rugby Union has had its share of 'fat people' over the years. Are you suggesting these aren't sports? As it stands, that is your only comment on the subject, so YES you are looking foolish AND offensive. Over to you to clarify.
  21. Not disputing it, as I said, not looked at the indivdual riders involved in any detail. In these cases its always a case of working out where the biggest drop off is and basing your picks on that. Then the system would very quickly fall on its head. As others have said, by agreeing to take part in the draft, the riders must be in agreement that they join the team that selects them.
  22. It depends, a lower pick in the first round means a higher pick in the 2nd. So its a case of weighing up whether you think the 5th and the 16th rider combination is better then the 10th and 11th for example.. I've not looked in detail at the list so don't know what combination would work best.
  23. It makes perfect sense and is far from complicated.
  24. I don't get the fascination with Tully. He had a couple of half decent matches against us when he was made to look good rather than any great excellence from himself. We should remember he guested against us for Belle Vue in the return match and was woeful. Nowhere near consistent enough as his PL performances show in my opinion.
