  1. Except he didn't knock anybody off. Pedersen was rightly excluded in his other races.
  2. And here we have a voice of reason. Freddie is far from a fan of Pedersen's. They have had numerous 'incidents' down the years.
  3. Point 1. Hasn't stopped many a rider throughout the history of the sport doing it. Point 2. Hasn't stopped many a rider throughout the history of the sport doing it. Point 3. Irrelevant, he wouldn't be thinking about that at the time. Point 4. You've not watched Harris all that much then. He has history for this.
  4. So Nicholls should have been excluded in the British Final in your opinion? Its a contact sport, those who think it isn't need to wake up. Nicki forced his way through yes, I have NO argument against that. However, I do not believe he knocked Harris off. Harris made that decision himself, to get off the bike. Therefore he was the cause of the stoppage. Correct decision in Heat 19 too. Lindback dove inside, had the line and Pedersen needed to read it and cutback. Anyway, there will always be controversial decisions in the sport, its what makes it fun. We'll just agree to disagree!
  5. ?? Which happened on the straight. The front wheel was down, hence Pedersen entering the corner on the inside. Tough to do that if he was 'lifting'. Simple fact is, the contact did not cause Harris to fall.
  6. A second is a long time in speedway. Contact causes you problems immediately. Contact does not cause you to fling your right leg into the air, and then gracefully slide of the back of the bike. Harris knew what he had done, hence when he was excluded there was no reaction from him as he walked back to the pits. The bane of speedway is riders taking the cheap option and sliding off at the slightest touch. The best races you often see riders clatter into each other without coming off. You must be of the opinion Scott Nicholls should have been excluded last Monday then?
  7. Manchester Paul was talking about the Holder incident, i.e. he agreed Pedersen to be excluded after seeing the replay. As for Harris, correct decision by the referee. Yes, there was contact. Did the contact cause Harris to fall? No it didn't. It barely even unsettled him as you could clearly see. Harris then chose to take the cheap option and lay it down in the hope Pedersen would be excluded. GP racing is a tough sport.
  8. Absolutely spot on. Stekkers commentary was excellent and as you say, Pearson toned down his as well. As someone else mentioned, Stekkers was giving a technical insight into the sport which has been so badly missing. It sounded 'intelligent' commentary for once!
  9. I agree that Fred was a lucky boy in the later incident.
  10. He started crying after Kenneths two dives... Not been seen since, seems to have no comments about King Kenny's 3rd and 4th 'efforts'.
  11. I suspect those struggling will really begin to complain now and try and force the meeting to be postponed.
  12. Rather poor show from him, pulling up and giving up in his last 2 races. I HATE to see that from any rider in my team. Something used to seeing Zagar and Lee Richardson do.
  13. OK.. The commentator is getting worse now. I don't mind if they don't know much about the sport.. but surely they can tell who is who from the helmet colors.. especially when they don't mention the riders for 2 laps... (I was thinking so he could check his sheet to confirm)...
  14. I've heard other americans call it wheelstands in the past.
  15. Yeah, Trying not to be too critical as its clear he is brand new to speedway. He's done some research which he should be commended on. Maybe he will get better as the season progresses and he learns some of the nuances of the sport.
  16. Just thinking that Blazeaway. Clearly not a speedway background, however, he has done his research and has come out with some useful and interesting information... which the infamous sky duo with all their years in speedway fail to do.
  17. So, should the Polish authorites, as rumoured, back down and introduce the new silencers, will you no longer be posting on GP and Polish topics?
  18. How many is a 'lot'? 5, 10? Thousand? As it currently stands, they may feel they have a reason to boycott the GP. As that is on new silencers, while they are watching league speedway on old. When the Polish league changes to the new silencers, which it will, do you suggest that these . 5, 10, or thousands as you claim, will then boycott their club meetings too?
  19. You seriously believe that thousands of Polish fans will stop attending speedway because the noise is a bit less? The new silencers are here to stay. Time you and the rest of the Polish brigade got used to that fact.
  20. And as I have said.. Based upon what? The incorrect ramblings of riders. Riders who ALWAYS complain whenever any change is forced upon them.
  21. No, they will soon realise their 'King' has led them up the proverbial path and soon return. Likely with a little less respect for their hero.
  22. Then Kasprzak is talking baloney! His fall against Poole in Heat 1 of the Sky meeting had nothing to do with silencers.
  23. Dear me, and how deluded are they? How many races have they seen to be so adamently opposed? A large number of fans support Gollob. Gollob says he doesn't like them. A large number of fans don't either. Simple.
  24. Ah but she had to press the red button. Thats tough. I stopped subscribing because I had to press 401.
  25. Points Systems.. Nothing to do with Sky. Tac Rides.. Nothing to do with Sky. Play-offs.. Sky love them, but the idea came from the BSPA. I'm sure you would prefer no televised speedway..
