What is flawed? Flawed because the final now uses the same scoring system as the rest of the meeting? Instead ot just moaning about it, tell us 'why' you believe its flawed. It's obsessive because it's brought up every few months with the same incorrect idea put forward that riders don't get a 'reward' for reaching the final. Which is false.

We won't fall out Ian, and I know exactly what you mean... but the system you would prefer to use simply isn't possible. As I said, the first GP is at the start of the season, qualification has to be from the previous year. -

Correct it is. So apply your own argument to your own theory. The GP is the echelon of the sport and as much as possible it needs to contain the very best the sport has to offer.. not some random group of riders who are fortunate enough to negotiate qualifiers. It also may have escaped your attention, but we have just held a GP, exactly when would the qualifying take place? -

They gave 11 places in the World Final to the top 11 of the Inter-Continental Final. It is no different. They haven't just stumbled into a top 8 position, they've earned it over a 12 round series competing against the Worlds best riders... thus 'qualifying'. -

I understand your views Ian, but.. it IS nonsense when you say the top eight are selected. That's the same as saying the top 11 in the old Inter Continental final were selected. The top 8 have met the qualification criteria for the following years GP. Whether you agree with that method (which you don't) is up for debate, but your interpretation of it is wrong. -

So to clarify your point Sidney.. You don't believe the current system, which ensures as much as possible that the worlds best riders are in the GP, is fair... And your justification for it is.. "What if one of the worlds best riders were to miss out".. Again, it doesn't make sense. The system you are proposing would stand a bigger chance of less talented riders taking up GP slots. Do you seriously want to see Ales Dryml in a GP series?? -

In the space of one post you have told us that for some unfathomable reason MJJ and Iversen shouldn't have even had to try and qualify last season (its been shown already that you and indeed nobody else would have suggested they should have had a wildcard for 2012)... and then proceeded to complain its a closed shop.... This is the problem Sidney, its difficult to debate with you, because we don't know what your actual point is sometimes as so much is contradictory. Noooo, this isn't fair. What an awful system you are operating, I wasn't given a fair chance to qualify. It was much better in the old days when I had the chance to be the No 1 Mug. Bring back GRW! -

We all know its got nothing to do with the systems/qualifiers/playoffs/world finals/tac rides/tac subs... if its different to what it used to be.. some people will complain. They forget the World Final was beginning to reach its sell by date and was no longer being staged at Wembley and attracting 80,000 crowds.. it was being staged at Pocking.. and getting 15,000. -

No, the top 8 qualify virtue of finishing in the top 8. -

How Do Foreign Riders Afford To Race?
BWitcher replied to Soul Crew's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Don't buy into this no opportunity. If they are good enough, they'll get a place. Didn't take a young lad like Stefan Nielsen long to find himself a team place... just one example. I agree it would make it easier if foreign riders had to keep their assessed average if they didn't hit it though. -
New Zealand Gp.

Not really.. Hampel got round because Nicki, quite literally, dropped the anchors round 1 and 2 to block Ward. -

It's so wide open this year, will be exciting. How much have the old boys got left. Will ward take the series by storm.. Can iversen show the form of last year... Will Lindback continue where he left of... And can anyone beat Bunyan... -

If we knew what your opinion was, it might help. Sadly it changes as often as the sun sets. You can't even seem to decide if we have opinions or not. One post you are ranting that we are trying to force our opinion on to you and that we are saying that only our opinion is right..... the next you're ranting we haven't got an opinion and we have no conviction to have one! Now, why don't you calm down, go make yourself a cuppa, stop randomly abusing people for no apparent reason and look forward to the 1st GP later tonight. -

Sidney, try and make a post without abusing someone. Also, if you wish to be taken seriously, let's have some consistency in your points. I can clearly remember on another thread not so long ago you ranting and raving that there were no young riders in the sport to replace the old guard.... now all of a sudden you're ranting on that these young riders (who you dismissed when we mentioned them) are already world class... This confuses me... as you tell us that results/averages etc have no bearing in your opinion of how good a rider is.. you have this 'gift' of just spotting a rider.. seems that gift had failed you this time last year and now its funnily enough a select few 'results' that have made you decide they are World Class.... -

So MJJ's 0 0 0 0 0 would have got him to a World Final would it? -

Sidney, Nobody has abused GRW. Pointing out that someone is making incorrect statements, is not abusing anyone, its educating. It's sad to say that the only abuse and childish behaviour on this thread has come from yourself and GRW, the very two people stamping their feet and complaining about it. You've gone round in circles so many times on the thread its unbelievable. -

Simply examples of riders who are above, well above, where Janowski and MJJ are at the moment Sidney. There are others too.
