  1. You didn't deliver, you dropped a pt to the leagues worst team. You've said this a few times now, there I was in the belief that Wolves had beaten Kings Lynn at home.
  2. Constant rule fiddling/breaking certainly won't. It's interesting that the 'rise of Poole' under the stewardship of Ford has co-incided with a big drop in attendances and subsequently standard of the league.
  3. Interesting claim. Shame that it is wildly inaccurate. http://www.european-football-statistics.co.uk/attn/nav/attnengtot.htm You're only about 10 million out.
  4. No it isn't the same as football at all. Football is everywhere. Everybody knows about football. It's an ingrained part of society. Football isn't relying on someone sitting at home watching a non league game and deciding to become a football fan. Speedway on the other hand is. It needs to attract new fans. TV is the biggest tool it has to do that. They have to make it look like the place to be. I'm not talking about the the benefits of watching a meeting on tv or at the stadium here. I'm talking about utilising the golden opportunity the sport has to promote itself via the medium of tv.
  5. Correct. Hence years and years of coverage and no benefit gained. The sport has an amazing advertising tool and does nothing with it. Last night was an example of how great the sport can be.. but its not us that needs convincing.
  6. Is this one of your 'joke' posts, i.e. mocking KKS/Liam Gallagher fan? Peterboro's crowds have been awful for some time.
  7. And again utterly irrelevant Football, cricket and tennis. You've found the flaw in your argument in your final sentence.. the top 3 sports people are interested in. People aren't interested in speedway, to get them interested you have to make it appear to be the new 'place to be'. The racing last night was superb.... but it all goes to waste apart from the hardcore viewers.
  8. It isn't doing great, in case you hadn't noticed. No, oh for god's sakes about it. It does not matter how good the racing is, if a casual viewer switches on and sees a paltry crowd they're not going to be interested 99% of the team. It's simple. You can think what you like, but it is true. It's proven. It's basic business sense. If you have two restaurants, one has lots of people in it, one is empty, you know nothing about either, most will go in the one with lots of people in it.. not all, but MOST. It's the sheep mentality. Basic rules of advertising. Not a comparison, folk know all about what football is.
  9. No they won't. They'll see an empty stadium and think that's definitely not the place to be.
  10. Is that the meeting with some superb racing, with passing and repassing in a number of heats? As I think Beowulf said this is a tricky meeting for Wolves, one they simply cannot afford to lose if they have any playoff hopes. I wonder which Joe Jacobs will show up, the very very promising one I saw when I was in England for the opening meets of the season... or the one I saw against Kings Lynn who was way off the pace. It could be crucial.
  11. They both know what the real issue is, indeed they even began to talk about it at the last GP before quickly silencing themselves and then trying to cover it up. Eurosport commentators can hardly come out and say the problems are due to One Sport etc when they are partners with One Sport on another event!
  12. So why isn't he riding then? If it's due to OneSport instructing/paying him not too, that's essentially a terrorist act to destabilise the GP's. Woffinden's bikes are simply nowhere near quick enough.. I called this before the season started.
  13. Of course. And no doubt you believe Emil isn't riding because he can't afford it too
  14. Your post makes zero sense when we have, as a result of One Sports takeover attempts the GP field split.. with two of the best and most exciting riders out of the series. We as fans are suffering.
  15. You can see why these Eastern European countries have so much trouble.. bit of propaganda and they all blindly follow. Evidenced tonight, OneSport (polish) propaganda and like sheep they stay away.
  16. You wouldn't like that if he did He's named the 2 that don't fall into his criticism and that's Kings Lynn and Wolverhampton.
  17. Pointless most of them bothering then isn't it with that attitude.
  18. Edited as Ghostwalker beat me to it It seems to suggest he DID use it in the GP though..
