Lakeside V Kings Lynn 19 May El A Sky Match
BWitcher replied to Vincent Vega's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Don't be daft. Here's something that might be worthwhile trying.. in a 3 rider race, don't stop on the last lap and start riding off the track.. It helps. What awful, awful commentating from Pearson there.. Babbling on about Karlsson slowing down when it was clear he was accelerating ahead into the corner and Schlein was going to come by on the inside. Much as I love PK, that was awful on the final bend. -

Fans are irrelevant as the rule says communication to and from the pits. The referee was correct. -

Except the rulebook doesn't say anything about fans. -

Fair enough, has that changed? Certainly riders been excluded in the past for that. -

Good call from the referee. Lambert making no attempt to race. heading the wrong way off the track. -
Now Tai appears to have sorted his engines out (now has speed and is gating like last season) I honestly see no reason (barring injury) he can't now go on to defend his title.
-
No, just a few folk interested in continuing to have a pop at bsi. The meeting was poor, it happens in speedway, many wembley world finals were very poor too. The bigger picture is the man who has generated more publicity in this country than we have seen in years is back on form. That is great news for British speedway.
-
Not the greatest of meetings, but to be honest, I wasn't too fussed. Of far more importance is that Woffinden has got things sorted and is looking like the World Champion he is. Very confident can put up a strong defence of his title now.

It Is Time To Get Shot Of Mr Watt!
BWitcher replied to Vincent Vega's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
He was marked at 6 because in case its escaped your attention, Poole are, shall we say, a slightly stronger team than Birmingham? Going up against Holder, Janowski, Pawlicki at Wimborne Road is a much tougher prospect than Skornicki, Barker, King at Birmingham (a track Watt goes well at). Watt is the kind of rider who throws in shocking meetings here and there and he may well have been guilty of massaging his average in prior seasons (as many are) but as I think SCB pointed out earlier, his overall record for away teams at Poole isn't too bad. I do believe he scored about 15+1 last season at Poole in a Lakeside away win?? -
Brilliant, ban all media. That's the way to bring the sport into the 21st Century!
-
So you're irrelevant then, as you have already stated it's too expensive in your opinion, so you wouldn't be going anyway.

Birmingham V Kings Lynn Select Thurs 15th May
BWitcher replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I don't think there was contact with barker and sqora but you could see what the loon was going to do, he charged in and came across his partner in the bend... It appeared that Adam tried to turn harder and as he did so lifted violently. Barker took king out earlier and crazily the ref excluded king. -

Big boost for Kings Lynn there with the ref excluding Danny King after Barker takes him out! -

Watt has a bad night.. to justify this you ask us to find a rider who knows the poole track better.. You're not exactly helping your argument there. -
Poole Pirates Vs Lakeside Hammers 14/5/2014
BWitcher replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Damn these unexpected business trips. Only yesterday morning you were looking forward to seeing Bech in action.. That's the problem with multi aliases.. always forgetting where you've said you're going to be . You should hire a secretary to help you with your imaginary diary! -
A classic with the late John Perrin. Travelled up to Bradford for a Bradford V Wolves meet that was postponed after a couple of heats (I think). After visiting the pits we exited heading out through the car park that was up on the hill on the back straight. Perrin was sat sitting in the back of a van with the doors open, crate of beer next to him, can in hand and started laughing at us about travelling all that way for a rained off meeting. The language was colourful, but we found it amusing at the time!

Gustafsson is a strange one. He has in the past (not that often) been electric at Monmore. -
I'm not missing the point. It means absolutely nothing what Cook says to his fans to keep em happy. It's what he says when he is sat round the table at BSPA meetings and none of us know that. As it happens at prior talk-ins CVS has stated he isn't a fan of the rule but that it was brought in primarily for financial reasons. Of late Sky get the blame, whether or not that is to cover the real reason again, who knows

Where Is British Speedway Going.
BWitcher replied to mc1874's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I've read it and respect it WK, but it baffles me why you keep raising the Lambert issue. Its a cut and dried rule. No foul play involved. -

What?? Are you serious WK?? Lambert is not allowed to ride in the PL.. as PER THE RULES. Yet despite all your bluster about being anti-rulebreaking, rule bending... now something involves your club you want the rule waived.. Utterly hypocritical. -
Are there any other riders who have been allowed to do what Newcastle wanted to do with Lambert? If not, then they've been 100% consistent. The rule is there, they've enforced it. I thought you were very much against rule breaking/bending WK? Yet now it involves your team you seem to want them to turn a blind eye?
