There's no side to put. He's not riding in a pretty low quality individual meeting. Gone are the days when they brought top names in for the Olympique.
-
It's hardly a no show when you are never advertised to be in the meeting in the first place. Perhaps the management is simply cutting costs?

Torun Sgp 2014 (inc Sunday)

It was absolutely blatant. He was looking for Tai the whole race. Coming out of turn 2 1st time, he took a long look over his shoulder (which he hadn't in any previous race) and moved over to ensure he blocked the run of those in 2nd and 3rd, he kept looking and as soon as he saw it was Tai he ensured he stayed down low. He also let Tai by in the Semi-Final, he attempted to again slow down those in 2nd and 3rd, the moment they came passed him he pulled over to allow Tai to chase. I didn't have a problem with it, I was shouting at the TV for him to do it.. he obliged -

Flawed logic. Nicki didn't hit KK, as Nicki was the only place he could be, right on the inside. KK was the one who veered across the track and hit Nicki. KK had the option of entering the bend wider, he chose not too. I don't think it was deliberate, but he tried to get across to the inside and it was too late, Nicki was already there. It was pretty straight forward.. unless you want to make things up to suit your argument. -

I must admit I wanted him to be excluded... but it was the wrong decision. -
Australian Gp Is Back
BWitcher replied to Stats's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The GP system is new so White Knight doesn't like it. He prefers the World Championship to be decided in a one-off shoot out at the end of the season rather than a season long competition. He also doesn't like the play-offs as they are new, he prefers the league champions to be decided in a season long competition rather than a shoot-out at the end of the season. No contradiction of course -

What are the reasons for your opinion? How is taking the sport into a magnificent facility bad for it? How is giving supporters in Australia the opportunity to attend a GP a bad thing? -

It's a good thing for the sport and its supporters. -

As Phillip has pointed out, they don't use the same bikes. Yeah, riders will hate an all expenses paid trip to Australia. Absolute nightmare for them. -
Very generous. More like 5 to 995.

Excellent posts Wolfie. I tried to post something similar earlier but my connection was playing up and it wouldn't post. When I read about the comments at the talk-in from the management, I was frankly disgusted. I had hoped they were taken somewhat out of context but it doesn't appear to have been the case. Next to Sam PK is perhaps the most loyal rider we have ever had. If PK says he is fit enough for next season and gets his machinery sorted out he should be a no brainer on his starting average. I've said this many times before, when Wolves track teams without one of the old heads in (usually PK or Sqora) we flop. Things quickly unravel. Freddie is a great Number 1, not so sure about being a great leader though.

Scb Statement Regarding Coventry And Cradley
BWitcher replied to Agrotron's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
They haven't, the suspension is 'suspended'. Basically they have just been fined so got away very lightly. If the reports are true that Greaves entered into the crowd to attack a supporter then he has got away very, very lightly indeed. Why would the referee need to be punished? -
With the same people attending over and over during that month no doubt. You claimed that you are more likely to find someone who has heard of a European Speedway champion than a European Swimming or Athletics champion.. absolutely no chance.
-
Come on now Iris, it's bad enough using Swimming, but to bring Athletics into the mix is bordering on the insane.

I've read the thread and not seen one who HOPES it will fail. I've seen many who THOUGHT it would fail, but there is a difference. IF there is anyone who genuinely wanted it to fail then they are not a speedway fan. -
No it doesn't, I doubt it's even close.
-
Not altogether accurate. World Championships, European Championships and Commonwealth Games are also watched in far bigger numbers than speedway (obviously due to BBC coverage). There's major swimming events every year, so its never out of the public eye for 3.5 years at a time. Swimming is also something the public can easily identify with.. how many take part in competitive swimming events up and down the country compared to speedway? That's without even going into the 'leisure' side of it. And swimming pulls in a greater number of tv viewers many, many, many, many more times over. A lot more people will have watched a serious swimming event on tv NOT including the Olympics than have even heard of Tai Woffinden.

How is she moaning? She said one rider was brilliant, another one not so. Factual observation of the meeting. Seems you're a bit of a sore loser Sidney. -

Does it? Lets hold them in June then. That would make sense. -
Not surprising really when folk like you keep posting pointless posts like this. 104 pages means the topic is of interest. Therefore it is being discussed... not entirely sure why you have a problem with that.
