It still is.

I assume it is this article you are referring too? http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/11762497.Speedway__Darcy_Ward_made_to_wait_on_hearing_verdict/ If so, there are no quotes from the FIM at all. What you have claimed is an FIM 'quote' is merely the journalists interpretation of events. What we can read into it is the journalist and indeed the Poole/Ward camp have done next to no research into how these hearings work. I find that difficult to believe. What is far more likely is they knew full well the verdict wouldn't be given immediately, that there would be a wait before it was issued in writing, but continue to spin the "Woe is me, Poor mistreated Darcy" line for all it is worth.
-
As far as I am aware it is only Darcy who has said this in his tweek stating ' a call will be made next week'? I have my doubts they will have told him a decision would be forthcoming next week, far more likely that it will be made in due course. Based upon past cases the FIM has dealt with and the rules stating 45 days it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest to see next week go by with no news... The pro Warders will be up in arms about what a joke it is again then!
-
So why did he have a trial? Just for the fun of it?
-
Neither did Greg Hancock
-
The one benefit we get from the continuing wait is the comedy value has been increased still further!

http://www.motoxaddicts.com/2014/12/17/full-fim-ruling-on-james-stewarts-punishment/ Here is the full ruling issued in the case of Bubba Stewart mentioned earlier in the thread, someone far bigger than Darcy Ward. You will notice from the dates that Darcy's case has been dealt with pretty quickly. The statement will be of particular interest too, particularly:- "The CDI has now issued its decision. On the merits, the CDI found that it was undisputable that Mr Stewart had committed an anti-doping rule violation under Article 2.1 CAD which states in particular that “t is each Rider’s personal duty to ensure that no Prohibited substance enters his or her body(…)”.

What are you wittering on about now. The RULE says within 45 days. Middlo has decided its next week.
-
I would suggest things don't look great for Darcy at this point. Had there been discrepancies or had his legal team been successful it would have been thrown out by now. Now, they will go away to decide upon his punishment.
-
It's been quoted by Salty how it works. A decision is given in writing within 45 days of the end of the hearing. Simple.
-
No, that's just guessing according to Starman.
-
Try posting something to demonstrate that then, as what you posted doesn't show that.
-
Starman? Logic?
-
Yeah you are right. I'm just guessing. Funnily enough the dates of previous offences and hearings back up my guess though.
-
You really don't understand the system do you. There are many documented cases with the FIM where the procedure has taken months. In cases where there was no doubt. They are not 'deciding' or 'making decisions' in that time.

What The Visa Issues Could Mean For Teams.

Irrelevant.. and he doesn't actually say they are involved. He says they are responsible for 27 sports. It's just more blame deflection., -
Doing a poor job about it, it simply causes any fan with intelligence (that's a push with speedway ) to lose even more faith. Far better to just come clean, we've cocked up, its being resolved. All the other excuses aren't needed. I most certainly wouldn't be doing that with my business. Looks very poor when you are trying to deflect blame.
-
Yet another load of codswallop, full of excuses, trying to drag other sports into it. The fact is, they KNOWINGLY ignored the rules regarding permits and he has admitted so. That's all that matters.

Not good if riders who shouldn't have a visa or in effect are riding illegally are having people off though is it? There would be a massive outcry in any other sector if illegal workers were causing others injury.. -
It's perfectly normal as has been pointed out numerous times on the thread. In other far bigger profile sports, with bigger names than Ward it has taken a long time.
-
Another fictional post crops up. Who are you referring too. It seems the most 'biased' poster people talk about is Gavan.. who has stated many times he believes a 12 month ban, backdated from the time of the incident is appropriate. So who wants him taken out and hung?

Yep, its a sell out when they're in town. Oh wait... -
Peter Adams is a financial advisor I believe in his 'other' career.
-
But they don't, so there is no issue. If they did, there would be. That applies to everyone, including speedway promoters. This notion they are being 'picked on' needs to be dispelled. If anything they are getting away very lightly.

He was subsequently barred from going within 2 miles of Monmore Green on race nights following his stalking of a fan by the name of Nigel.
