Nikki Pedersen Red Carded In Polish Match
BWitcher replied to barrow boy's topic in International World of Speedway
On big tracks, Gollob is as good as anybody ever.. On all tracks.. he falls below Hancock/Pedersen. It's why he has just the 1 world title to his name. -

But was it 'seriously disrupted' or spoilt? -

Very harsh! Of course they were in one, Coventry turned them over.. Was it rain effected though? -
If you cared to read the thread, rather than just post a personal attack, you will see that the vast majority of people on the thread echo my views. It's also apparent that SVEMO echo my views as well, hence them banning Hancock for 10 days. Perhaps you might wish to add something constructive to the thread yourself?

You can't remember a play off final that hasn't been seriously disrupted or spoilt by rain?? -
To be fair, Tai has distanced himself from the situation this year as far as I am aware and not got involved in the 'twitter' spats. Perhaps that is part of what is riling Greg, Tai doesn't appear to be following him like a lackey anymore and is just concentrating on his own thing and as a result leaving Greg trailing. Gregs mind games with his nearest rivals aren't working on Tai anymore. Meanwhile, the reaction on facebook is priceless... here are some gems! "Follow the $$$ Dickys got $ and I recall he's Swedish. Gee what Co inky dinky. That little a**hole WILL EVENTUALLY KILL SOMEONE ! Then what ?" "that is what happens when your parents can buy the governing board. The only way the riders can fight this is by a boycott. Find another organization or start your own you know damn well that this organization has been bought and paid for. Also nothing wrong with a good old ass kicking blanket party for miss nicki" "This just sucks!! Like a true champion.... Greg handles this situation w/ diplomacy" "I am so sick of Pederson, sorry but he a looser. The sport would be so much better off without him. Rant over!" "So hard to beleive. NP is a punk. He needs to be stopped and NOW! Hats off to Grin to being a stand up human being and great rider! USA USA USA." "He's a spoiled brat and a bully and I wish someone would just kick his ass beat him like the little b***h that he is" "we have to stay as politically correct as greg." Just a small sample of the hysterical comments, mainly from Americans. The majority of them calling for violent acts against Pedersen too.

So? It doesn't matter what people tell you, what matters is the RULES. Sheffield learned that to their cost. -
A thread in the General Speedway section too.

Relax Bryn, the post by KKS was quite funny, nothing more.

You are correct, the best team did used to win the league. However, not in the year that you keep quoting as any speedway fan with an ounce of knowledge knows Belle Vue won the league that year due to the insane amount of injuries Wolves suffered in the final quarter of the season. We know you don't like rule changes, but they suited Belle Vue that year, as by the rules in almost any other year of speedway you wouldn't have won. The fact that guests were only allowed for your No 1 that year was the deciding factor. Not that this should take anything away from the drama of the final match, Belle Vue deservedly won on that night to become champions. Indeed, much as you like to use this example as to how brilliant the old system was, it actually proves the opposite.. rather than have such a tremendous spine tingling climax once every 20 years or so, we now get it every year instead. -
Another whining comment from Hancock. "No penalty for the dangerous riding" he says. Yes there was, he was excluded. Not that it was dangerous anyway, just an old man, losing his nerve, bailing out when it got tough Correct decision to ban him. Meanwhile, over on facebook there are fans putting a petition together to have Nicki Pedersen banned for life or they will sue him and the FIM for attempted murder!

Except it has already been pointed out to you, by others and indeed by myself, that 'it', as in the cheating, real or alleged, has occurred many times previously BEFORE the POKC as you like to call it was around. So despite all your bluster about me adding nothing to the thread, I have.. It's simply you don't like it. Several Cradley teams in the 80's and early 90's are perfect examples and there have been many others. Now do try and discuss it in a civil manner. Edited to add: Your comments about manipulating averages for 4 months are also wrong. Even those most ardent in their accusations that Swindon cheated do not claim they were lowering averages for 4 months. IF it took place it was over a 4 or 5 match period to get Ward into the team. -
Apologies, it wasn't intended in that way, just pointing out that levels of dedication can depend very much on circumstances and can be hard to judge.
-
I don't think its something that can easily be judged. For instance, one fan could travel to all their teams meetings home and away all season long, year after year. Are they dedicated, yes they are of course. Are they more dedicated than another fan that simply can't afford to do that and only attends half the amount of meetings? Finances, as with the gentleman you mention above can play a big part. I would say I am dedicated towards supporting my favourite rider Sam Ermolenko. I live abroad now as most know, but the moment Sam is announced to ride in a meeting, even if its a challenge or a pretty worthless individual, I'm booking flights solely for the purpose of seeing him ride... however, I'm fortunate enough to be in a position where I can afford to do that.. so it doesn't necessarily make me more dedicated than others. As WK says, hopefully someone will live nearby to the gentleman in question and he can enjoy more regular speedway without the large financial outlay!

The expected response, when called out, fire out the insults, not grasping the hypocrisy of them! Incidentally, I don't ever call anyone's opinions wrong. What I challenge is when people say things that are factually incorrect and try to claim its opinion. Its not, if it's wrong, it's wrong. I've been wrong on numerous occasions, difference is I hold my hands up and accept it. -

Which is how it should be here in the top flight, once a fortnight. But we constantly get people complaining they don't have matches every week, whilst at the same time complaining they can't afford to go every week....... -
Belle Vue, Kings Lynn Or Swindon For 3rd/4th Spot
BWitcher replied to Trevor's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Sense of humour? Its a statement of fact that the current tactical system is the 'fairest' it has ever been. Do I like it? No I don't, but that's a different issue. The play-off race is certainly an exciting one, Swindon have picked up much more than I expected. -

There's absolutely no point discussing things with a troll. We all know your agenda, very little of it has anything to do with reality hence me deleting the post. Many teams manipulated averages in years gone by, more so than now in fact, FAR more so as it was easier to do so. Funnily enough, people complained about it then too. Of course none of this matters to you as it doesn't fit in with your agenda. The recent big crowds Belle Vue have had don't fit in with your agenda, so you don't mention them. However, you soon pipe up about the expected low crowd in the off night, second in a week, fixture against lowly Wolves. You're doing your best, as usual, to wind people up on the issue.. unfortunately, it's just viewed as something of a comedy act now. Feel free to reply with another load of your pokc sycophant nonsense.
