Again, he wasn't ready to race under the 2mins, so should have been excluded. Massive advantage. ??? What are you wittering on about? -

Of course he was gaining an advantage! He wasn't ready to race under the 2 mins rule and as such should have been excluded and started from 15 metres back. -

They must be able to protest, it's not challenging a decision by the referee. Newman rode in the race illegally so the SCB have to step in. Edward Kennets races were declared by the referee, he was deemed to have rode with illegal equipment afterwards, the situation with Newman is the same. -

Soon cleared that up didn't they, you can't protest against poole -
Nice try. Where does it say he didn't know what the injury was? You've just invented that. If we go with that line of thought though, nobody told him then? His mom just called him and said he's having an operation, we have no idea what it is.. nor did he know the next morning, when the operation would have been finished.. Stretching things a little aren't we.
-
Case a: Rider directly involved in a crash where another rider is almost killed, spends 20 mins on track while they battle to save his life. The very next night he doesn't feel ready to race again yet.. at THAT time he is signed off. His team are weakened as a result. Case b: Out of form rider hears that his Dad has had an accident and hurt his hand, continues to race. Then decides that in 3 days time he's not going to be mentally able to ride.. his team are strengthened as a result. There is no comparison. It's called Starman language. Doing my best to learn it.
-
So has he visited a medical professional since? Can this guy also provide me with the lottery numbers as he knows what things days in advance!
-
That's quite clearly what you have said, no need to invent. Compassionate leave because your dad has hurt his hand? Not going to happen.. they'd let you have some time off on the day of the incident if you needed to get to the hospital etc.. but asking for time off 3 days later as you might not be mentally right.... This is Poole though, they have a crystal ball and can predict when a rider is and isn't going to be mentally right to ride. Josh G was a 24 hour thing, and the decision was made late on the day of the meeting.. Poole and North knew how he'd be feeling 72 hours in advance. It doesn't matter how you twist it, its yet another corrupt tale in the sorry history of Poole and British speedway.
-
Brilliant! So now we're saying if a rider doesn't feel in the right frame of mind that night, he can have the night off and just bring in a better guest. That's what this boils down too!

The ONLY reason you are taking this stance is because Coventry were involved. For once, grow up, put aside your petty 5 year old "I don't like Coventry BS" and look at something like an adult. You're always one of the first to call teams out for cheating, be it Poole, Swindon etc.. EXCEPT when it involves Coventry.. then all of a sudden it's all fair. There is absolutely no reason why it couldn't have been said what the injury was.. all this privacy crap, for what? Just a smokescreen. They all know full well if they announced Dakota North's dad has injured his hand so he can't ride, everyone would call them out as absolute BS. As for trying to compare the situation with that of Josh G.. did it strengthen Belle Vue Josh G missing? Poole knew it would strengthen them.. they could have won the semi final fairly, but as always Ford leaves no stone unturned in his desperation to win.. regardless of the damage done to the sport. There is no doubt the incident will have caused more fans to give the sport up altogether, but that's no problem, there's plenty more to replace them!
-
Where is all this secrecy suddenly coming from? I've never known people to be so sensitive about saying that has happened to relatives.. indeed its normally quite the opposite, somebody enquires, they are quite happy to say, "They've injured this, the operation was that".. I can't think of one single plausible reason why it would be in any way bad for North to give an indication of what the injury was... unless of cause it would reveal that it quite clearly wouldn't have caused the effect on him we are being told it did. Don't forget THJ in Las Vegas!

It's only Robert72! You have to understand, tough night for him last night. He hates Tai. -

No it isn't missing the point at all. You claim that 'great racing' is what brings in the fans and use Long Eaton and Peterboro as examples to try and 'prove' that.. the reality being quite the opposite as neither track has a great record of 'bringing in the fans' despite excellent racing. As I said, back to the drawing board for you. -

Reporting on what riders said at a Press Conference? You really need to get a grip of your vendettas and read things before you post. It's incredible folk still peddle this nonsense! I went to Long Eaton many times, I don't remember massive crowds.. nor do I see Peterboro pulling in the punters, indeed they're battling for survival most years.. Seems your 'theory' needs a bit of work. -
There are none so blind....

What like Matt Ford?

As usual I see some folk are moaning. Decent GP so far, some good exciting races. -
Absolute rubbish. Even if Mr North senior had lost his hand in an accident that would be a very unfortunate incident, but hardly something to make your son unable to do his job. Once again, if this information is true, Poole have blatantly pulled a fast one. Despicable.
-
Really? This is a club who used the death of a speedway rider as an excuse to cheat! So essentially, nothing is too low for them, this is mild in comparison. So basically, despite all the bluster, it very much appears as if, once again, Ford and Poole have pulled a fast one and dragged the sport further into the mud.
-
As has been explained numerous times, North is an unfortunate victim of Ford reaping what he has sowed. The comments on here are mild compared to the many I have seen across social media from fans across a whole spectrum of clubs. It seems many in speedway are still totally oblivious to the effect all this manipulation has on the average supporter up and down the country and the amount of people it has caused to simply abandon the sport. In this particular case it is highly likely Poole have done nothing wrong, unfortunately for them it has happened to many times now for many to accept... wrong as that may be.
-
Ah yes, the lagutas. You're right, no restriction there.. They're regulars in BSI events such as the gps and the World Cup!
-
Nice try, except selective quoting with no context is irrelevant.
-
Pretty much confirmed what E I said in your response.
-
The reality of this situation is there is NO PROOF that Dakota North's father was involved in a serious accident, only what Poole Speedway, through Matt Ford have told us. Now, I am far from Ford's biggest fan but I wouldn't think even he would stoop to such a low level so am prepared to accept what he says... however others, given past history, doubt the situation. Sadly, that has come about solely through Ford's lies in the past.
-
Clearly not. The money behind OneSport are the former promoters of Torun? The promoter who because he couldn't get his own way regarding a playoff final, forbade his team from racing, leaving a capacity crowd without a playoff final to watch... Many of the 'money men' in that part of the world are carry overs from the old system, used to a system of getting their own way, one way or the other. Emil was quite happy to race in the GP's until OneSport came along.. ever since, it's been a no go area for him.
