  1. We have this event, the infamous hosegate and the infamous Good Friday meeting v Wolves. If you'd read any of my comments then you would know that it is nothing to do with having an 'issue' with Belle Vue, moreso having an issue with downright incompetence and refusal to shoulder blame. That is the case regardless of the club involved, including the one I support. Belle Vue's promotion could have explained that the work was carried out by contractors but they should also most clearly have stated that despite that, the buck stopped with them and they apologised for it.
  2. I must admit, when I watched the link to Nicki P going round I was looking for an issue and couldn't see one at all. It's also strange all the riders appeared to be smiling, joking, taking in the occasion from the various pictures I've seen.. usually there are frowns etc when a postponement is likely.
  3. When that member is steadfastly refusing to shoulder the blame then YES. Belle Vue's statement is beyond a joke. They have (again) presided over a monumental **** up and (again) instead of holding their hands up, apologising that mistakes were made, but were made in the best of intentions, they choose to play the "It's not our fault" card which quite simply makes things worse. Had they responded in the correct manner they could have garnered some sympathy and won back a lot of support. Instead they choose to stick two fingers up to all those who attended and only their deluded supporters will support them now.
  4. Just when you think Belle Vue can't stoop any lower, out comes that utter crock of **** of a statement. Initially I thought the BSPA were out of line, but it's pretty apparent now they'd realised Belle Vue weren't prepared to accept any responsibility at all and felt it was right to distance themselves from them appropriately. Haven't they been telling us all winter how the track was the most important thing and how they'd be working tirelessly to make sure it was the very best? Now they suddenly claim they had nothing to do with it and just left it in the hands of an outside body with no knowledge of producing a speedway track.
  5. They've quite rightly hung them out to dry as Belle Vue are refusing to shoulder any blame at all. I have little doubt the BSPA would have communicated with Belle Vue prior to issuing their own statement... and if that was the attitude they got, the usual Gordon/Morton reaction of "Not our fault, nothing to see here guv" then they were correct to distance themselves from them immediately.
  6. Just when you think the situation can't get any worse the Belle Vue promotion deny any fault at all. Absolutely unbelievable. Little wonder the BSPA is hanging them out to dry!
  7. Yeah, you're right, the final nail.. a rider isn't racing for a 'select' team.
  8. You seem a tad confused as you've agreed with pretty much what I've said all along.... I totally agree that Swindon have handled this situation appallingly.. I don't agree that it's a disgrace if Morris rode for Wroclaw.
  9. If he was contracted, Rosco would have said so. He's just trying to save face and appease Swindon fans. Swindon aren't even riding tonight so there is no possible way Morris is 'contracted' to ride for them.
  10. Why would he want to put his foot down? He likely has to be honest and is making the right choice for his interests.
  11. Nothing disgusting at all. Morris signed a contract to ride for Swindon and will have been giving the fixtures he is contracted too, the same with Wroclaw. I have little doubt this fixture at Somerset would not have been in his contract.. the one for Wroclaw very likely was. Therefore Morris is honouring the deals he has signed. If neither were in his contract then as a self employed worker he is entitled to choose the best deal for him.
  12. Nobody is denying it, but when it comes to ranking riders in the future, Emil will be nowhere near Tai if he continues to sit out the World Championship. Leigh Adams was as good as Jason Crump in every event there was, bar the World Champs. Hence he isn't rated anywhere near him. The same will apply with Emil unless he notches a World Title or two (or more).
  13. Tai is a two time World Champion who has proved himself at the highest level. Emil is a zero time World Champion who hasn't. It's quite simple. As for Emil's agenda.. yeah, that would be it wouldn't it. He grew up with a dream to be World Champion. All he ever spoke of was his desire to be World Champion. He entered the GP's and rode through injuries because of his desire to be World Champion. When his father died he dedicated himself to being World Champion in his memory. Along comes the SEC run by a very dodgy organisation and suddenly he 'can't afford it'... despite being one of the richest speedway riders there is.. when it became obvious that was completely bogus as he is most certainly not lacking in equipment it became "spend more time with family"... which of course is bogus as well. He rides in just as many meetings during a season as Tai does, often racing in meaningless events in Germany of the weekend. Isn't it strange that the Laguta's have had this same attitude transformation! Must be a Russian thing...... Emil has all the ability in the world and in league racing there is nothing between him and Tai... but as said, until Emil shows the guts to fight for World Championships again he will never be in the same bracket.
  14. Not talking about the merits of Emil v Tai.. which Tai wins every time till Emil bothers to enter to enter the GP. But more those still deluded enough to think Emil sitting out is anything to do with costs or wanting to spend time with family..
  15. Emil has absolutely no disadvantage in terms of equipment, in fact it has always been quite the opposite. He is also not short of money. He is not riding in the GP because he does as he is told, it's that simple. You are of course correct... BUT in a way, family is about the most honest Emil has been about this entire situation. Not riding in the GP's ensures his family is safe.
  16. or laydowns and uprights. I don't understand folk saying "Oh but riders will have to buy different bikes for the UK"... They do that anyway!
  17. You haven't got a case. I have nothing to take as I admit that I am stealing when I watch NHL via Kodi. That's an adult mature thing to do. You on the other hand take offence at the suggestion you are stealing when you don't pay a penny in subscriptions to any services and are stealing/leaching all of them. Same here Tkdandy, it is an excellent service.
  18. I haven't apologised and nor will SCB because I/we have nothing to apologise for. You are stealing a service (multiple services in your case). That's your choice, but don't try claiming that isn't what you are doing.
