  1. Your argument against Tai has shown you to be a bigot who judges people on their appearance and is incapable of understanding that people can dress and style themselves how they see fit. You live by some antiquated nonsense that having 'tattoos' is something to be looked down on. That in itself speaks volumes. Your gutless insinuations that Tai's parents are/were not 'decent' people were reprehensible. Not arguing it, stating it as fact. Crump is unknown in the public eye outside of speedway fans. So is Woffinden, but due to his exposure in more media outlets than Crump he will be slightly more known. Neither of them make much of a blip in the public eye however.
  2. You're now accusing Tai's parents of not being decent? You really are a despicable piece of work.
  3. Pretty much how I see it as posted above. If Wolves do pull something off then they will most definitely have to be taken very seriously indeed.
  4. Apologies, I will change it from most parents to ALL decent parents would be proud of their sons achievements as no doubt Tai's Mom is and his Dad was even before Tai had become World Champion. What an awful parent you must be, or would make. Of course, if you have an issue with that, take it up with Tai's Mom, tell her how she shouldn't be proud of her son. As for Olsen, so what if you mentioned him? He's from a completely different era. I may as well say David Beckham and Steve Thornber was world famous footballers.. and when called up on Thornber not being so, say I also mentioned Beckham.
  5. Completely agree and I doubt we will get it. Poole are a very different animal on their home track. Kurtz will be dominant at reserve and Charles Wright is head and shoulders above Max Clegg. Holder won't be scoring 3pts in the home leg. Buckowski will score big as will Andersen.
  6. Jason Crump was known outside of speedway? By who? I would categorically state Tai Woffinden is more well known than Jason Crump outside of speedway. I have never ever heard Jason Crump mentioned on Radio 5, Talksport nor seem him on a Saturday morning kids programme. As for parents? Most parents would be damn proud to have a son who set out to achieve his goals and absolutely smashed them, becoming the best in the world at what he does. You betray yourself in your post, you're a bigot who doesn't like someone who has tattoos. On another thread you're praising Nicki Pedersen, who hasn't rode here for years showing up your hypocrisy.
  7. The bloke is a 2 time and reigning World Champion so needs no excuses and has the best of advice. You were doing so well, managed around 3 hours without an attack. We're here for you robert72, we'll get you through this problem. Be strong!
  8. A 'lot'? A hell of lot more support Hamilton and Andy Murray than don't when it comes to British fans. What you should be saying is a 'minority' of fans.. usually those who are jealous or don't like winners.
  9. It's an accurate one. Hamilton has moved on to bigger and better things. So has Woffinden.
  10. Clearly some sort of compromise. Poole have tried to twist/interpret/apply the rules to suit ... again the poorly worded rulebook has opened that door... As a compromise they've been allowed to use Auty.
  11. There's help available, you just have to take the first step. http://www.becomingminimalist.com/ungreen-with-envy/ http://psychcentral.com/blog/archives/2009/05/12/8-ways-to-overcome-jealousy-and-envy/ just a couple.. plenty more out there. Fight this problem you have robert72, we're in your corner!
  12. I do feel a little sympathy for you. Jealousy is very difficult to live with.
  13. He knows full well a winning team is the most important thing, the racing is a fall back when things aren't going well.
  14. Understood, I see where you are coming from, we're on the same page.
  15. Not as much of a shock at all as we are far more used to seeing the top riders being beaten now. When riders were running 10.5-11pt averages it was rare to see them beat, even rarer by a second string or reserve. Jorgensen beating Holder and Andersen at Berwick now, although exciting, wouldn't be anywhere near as shocking/exciting as Powell beating Hamill/Hancock back in their pomp of 1995.
  16. That only goes to strengthen the case that the overall quality of the league was not that high and that the second strings and reserves beat the top guys even less.
  17. I'm not sure what you're disagreeing on, that's precisely what I'm saying. Of course we had riders with 10-11 pt riders in the past, there were a few reasons for that.. 1: Size of league, the more times, the more higher averaging riders there are. 2: Depth of quality... the less quality of the second strings and reserves, the higher averaging heat leaders there are. 3: Race format.. the less often the top riders meet, the higher averages they will have. 4: Bonus pts.. they used to be included, they aren't now. The season you were referring too would likely have been 1995 when the two leagues merged. You are spot on, back in those days, when a lower rider beat one of the 'big names' with the 10pt+ averages, it was fantastic. Which is what you did with my post I was merely trying to explain how they contradict themselves as we all know there were many riders with high averages... and by having those high averages it meant they weren't getting beat very often by second strings and reserves.. despite what some try to claim.
  18. That's simply because, despite what the 'good old days crowd' keep trying to tell us, the overall quality of rider is much higher now, with much smaller gaps between the teams from top to bottom. The 'good old days crowd' will tell us about the unbeatable heat leaders teams used to have with their 10-11pt averages in one post... then in the next tell us how great the second strings and reserves were and how often they beat the heat leaders... As I've mentioned on another thread, there is an argument for returning to a format where the top riders meet less often than they do now, this would give them higher averages and create a perception of them being stronger. Even include bonus pts in their averages again. It's all psychological, they are the same riders but if they have a 10pt average rather than an 8, it makes them appear all that much more enticing to go and watch and be excited about them visiting.. and of course them getting beat.
  19. Ah, he wasn't bothered in that meeting either was he. Remind me who won again?
  20. Didn't seem bothered in 2015 World Cup says the latest bright spark to post on the thread, are you referring to the semi when he scored 3,1,3,3,3 or perhaps it's the race off you mean where he scored 3,3,3,6,3,3 for a 21pt maximum?
  21. You're right, he's world No 3. Tai is no 1. The best. The Champ. Yep, a brilliant message! Don't become the best! Be a journeyman!
  22. Why? Sweden fits perfectly in a regular schedule allowing him to race against the worlds best. Of course its 'acceptable'. We can all watch him in Swedish matches, Polish matches and in GP's if we wish. It's time some deluded fans understood the British system is well past its sell by date. Really? Nicki Pedersen seems to do well
