  1. You're suggesting the riders start from the infield?? Seriously?
  2. That's because if I am corrected on something, I accept it and am happy to have learned something new. It's over, it passes without notice. What I don't do is ramble on for page after page about not having my 'opinion' respected, refuse to accept I'm wrong despite proof been shown that I am and eventually start abusing all and sundry and challenging them to fights.
  3. If their view had any credibility there wouldn't be the issue in the first place. You see a sensible poster, if they get something wrong and it is corrected accepts that and they are happy to learn. I've been corrected on many things. Others start screaming about opinions. The problem falls with Group two and then those who pander to them. Now please can we get back on topic after Gresham has had his latest abuse riddled tantrum.
  4. Wrong again Sidney , this is where you always fall down.. unable to comprehend what is being said. I COMPLETELY agree with you that speedway was better in the past, I've never ever denied that. All I have ever said is that the racing wasn't much, if any better, in the old days, which can be proven with all the footage available. It's certain posters inability to read and comprehend that causes the problems.
  5. Not really. When it's about opinions discussions can continue and be engaging as posters post the reasons behind their opinion and discuss accordingly. Where the issues arise is when posters make statements that are factually incorrect... then when corrected and most importantly provided evidence of their error they act like children and refuse to accept it and start bleating about opinions before throwing all their toys out the pram and resorting to abuse. There is a significant difference.
  6. No, Warsaw was one of the best speedway meetings you could hope to see. Emil wasn't missed at all. Whereas he was once the young up coming star everybody wanted to see race, he is in danger of being passed over by a new generation coming through.
  7. None of these were 'watching' the speedway. They were loitering behind the stand smoking, taking drugs and other activities under 16's are not legally meant to be doing As you say, the introduction of needing to be with a paying adult was brought in.
  8. This has to be one of the most ironic posts in forum history!
  9. Whilst the child picks his toys up, back on topic. As Screamer suggests the pricing structure needs to be looked at. Some clubs do offer free admission to Under 16's, this should become standard across the board. However... I do remember Wolverhampton having such a scheme and it becoming problematic as gangs of teens were coming along, not to watch the speedway, but generally be disruptive. The biggest challenge the sport faces is making it seem 'cool' to the younger generation. It needs to be marketed as the ultimate of extreme sports. Play up on the crashes, the danger... they are marketing tools. Forget the 'family sport' image.. it will remain a family sport, you just don't need to advertise it as such.
  10. No point scoring, just Gresham trolling another thread with the same nonsense. Shame, it's an interesting discussion.
  11. You are. You do on every thread. Worst of all you have no consistency at all in what you post. You put me on ignore as you were too pig headed to accept that the racing is as it always has been for the most part. Yet here you are now wittering away saying the same thing. Have you ever head of paragraphs? Might want to try it. Otherwise your posts just end up looking silly. Like this one.
  12. Precisely, which is what I explained at the start of this thread. ALL sports suffer the same churn of fans. I know many who were season ticket holders at football for years and now don't go anymore. The difference is those fans were replaced and that is where speedway has failed.
  13. He'll put you on ignore if you don't watch out.. But will post About 100 lines To let you know of that fact
  14. It's about rose tinted glasses predominantly. And has been explained to you multiple times, but you refused to accept it to the point of placing me on ignore, it's to do with ATMOSPHERE. More people attended meetings, it was a better atmosphere, everything seemed better. Nothing to do with the 'visual package' which is better now. Just the same as watching Phil Taylor v MVG seems so much better in the Premier League with 8,000 people that it would in your local pub with 50 people.
  15. The wood was better in the old days, could fly for miles. These days people just fall straight down, so boring.
  16. Depends if Norrie Allan is a decent team manager or not. If he is, 7 rides for Klindt from the outside gates. I already know the answer though..
  17. Me thinks White Knight has totally misunderstood your post E I.
  18. This competition is now really beginning to fade even further into insignificance. The GP is stronger than ever and Emil is now not even being missed.
  19. Perhaps, but not sure of the relevance of that comment to the British born rider Tai Woffinden?
  20. One wonders why a devout Belle Vue fan would even be asking for a refund, not as if you can't attend other meetings there is it? hmmm..... That being said DAC.. like you, I do have my doubts over the legitimacy of the poster's claims too.
  21. No, he closed his eyes and soaked in the emotion of the anthem playing. He was 100% respectful so you have no grounds for any accusations tonight.
  22. Superb GP, well done to Woffy. Bad night for his haters as nothing to complain about with the National Anthem either. Freddie Lindgren, brain transplant needed for his semi final gate choice.
  23. Sounds like you need work on your Swedish Black Country
