  1. They're hardly complicated. Poorly written more so.
  2. Ah, I see where you are coming from now. I don't think that is the case.
  3. Why isn't it real? What exactly has changed? Riders have to qualify as it stands now, the wildcard was simply there for someone who perhaps missed the semi through injury or bad luck. It has nothing at all to do with Woffinden.
  4. As long as it makes you feel better. Meanwhile, back in the real world....
  5. Correct, and his prize is watching Tai captain GB in the World Cup. Congratulations robert72!
  6. Yeah because it's awful seeing the sport staged in front of 50,000 crowds in places like Warsaw.
  7. You somehow seem to think that not selecting Tai for the World Cup is some kind of punishment!
  8. The absolutely god awful track is biting Poole on the bum here. The track is not 'bad' now, it's worse, it is a disgrace and not fit to stage speedway on. Poole should be fined and not allowed to stage another home meeting until they can show the problems are fixed.
  9. There's only one GP race in the UK and Tai will be there.
  10. Yeah, you are right! What's the point in any sport! Can't believe I didn't think of that. Off to find a Formula One thread to troll about Lewis Hamilton only racing in GP's in England. While I'm at it I think I'll dig up some past history and troll about Carl Fogarty. What a disgrace he was when World Superbike Champion barely racing in the UK. As for Woffinden just racing at Cardiff (although of course he isn't just racing there).. again you're right! What a worthless event, only true speedway fans and a few companies go to Cardiff whereas at league speedway stadiums are packed with non speedway fans and companies galore!
  11. Was that your excuse then? You were 'deliberately' coming last when you rode?
  12. I don't think you understand the concept of 'selfishness'. The British Final is an INDIVIDUAL event. It is for personal gain, not the gain of GB. Nicholls is quite happy to ride in that as he wants the personal glory. Woffinden has won it 3 times and is happy to let someone else taste the glory. Riding for your country is for the benefit of your country. Woffinden does that, Nicholls doesn't. The selfish rider is Nicholls.
  13. Guys, ignore the troll. It has nothing to do with Tai not singing the national anthem, or Tai not riding in the Ben Fund. Robert72 doesn't post over and over about riders who refuse to even race for their country... Scott Nicholls... or riders that have NEVER rode in the Ben Fund... Scott Nicholls. He obviously has a personal dislike and petty jealousy.
  14. For sure, most speedway fans knew who was who and it was far easier to identify individual riders. A large part of me preferred the individual leathers too...
  15. How about race jackets and riders in different leathers rather than team leathers as its easier to identify a team from a distance? Oh no... done that one...
  16. I like you've brought that up.. After all, it was entertaining, somewhat controversial and created a talking point.. Something those who hark back to the old days say the sport is missing.. Yet funnily enough, the biggest moaners about that were precisely those people.
  17. Thoughts are some folk are trying to invent a problem to fix. Nothing wrong with gardening, fail to understand any issue regarding it. It never takes long, is generally done whilst the music at the start of the race is playing, announcer is stating who is in the race and building up the suspense. Would be boring as hell if they just came straight round, lined up and off they went. Anticipation is great. The starts are as fair as they have ever been in the sport.
  18. Thanks, no examples then. There is nothing to debate here. As others have said, it's a ridiculous idea not even worth contemplating.
  19. You should say you hope they are 'allowed' to make an effort.
  20. It's little wonder promoters pay little heed to fans when they come out with such nonsense.
  21. Fair point. Back on topic, we haven't heard from the instigator of this thread in a while. Has he had his refund now? Or has he decided it's looking daft continuing to claim he hasn't....
  22. This years Warsaw event was a disaster for OneSport and their backers. They will have a very tough time now continuing to convince certain riders not to take part in BSI events.
