  1. Considering you are the one making the big long posts I'm hardly the one going on. It also makes me laugh when people continually respond with "You just have to have the last word.." before launching into another long post... the irony! So we had Worrall and his mother supposedly complain and then someone like you piping up. Hardly constitutes 'most' people. So as I said, you've fabricated something to try and justify your 'opinion'. Your 'opinion' which you rendered redundant yourself as in your own words you stated you wouldn't have been offended if you'd agreed with SCB. Basically what it boils down to is the mentality of a 5 year old child, someone said something about a rider in your own team and you are up in arms about it, the same things said about a rider elsewhere you wouldn't bat an eyelid.
  2. It wasn't 'Spot on'. It was completely irrelevant and pure fantasy as there has been no criticism of those who put on second halves.
  3. So the referee has concocted his own rules then.. interesting.
  4. Hmm.. seems you're the one ranting to try and justify your pathetic stance that the term 'boring' is offensive. I haven't quoted anything to suit my point of view. I quoted what you said... you weren't happy with SCB because you didn't agree that Richie Worrall was boring. THEN you went into your ridiculous rant about most people being offended.. with of course no evidence to back that up. Of course all of that was rendered null and void by your opening line that it was offensive because you didn't agree with SCB's opinion on Worrall.. which basically says its ok to call someone boring as long as you agree. Steve Davis has been labelled as boring his entire career in snooker.. never ever heard it being described as 'offensive'. Absolutely spot on.
  5. I'd disagree personally and believe that Rider Eligibility over rides any reference to IRR. It clearly states a rider must have three rides and the only time that can be ignored is through an injury in that meeting. It is quite clear that this means if a rider is injured in the meeting then the three ride rule is waived and other options can be used.. i.e. IRR or reserve replacement. Tungate was not injured in the meeting so as PER THE RULES he must take three rides. It is 100% crystal clear. There is nothing in the IRR rule to state that the rider eligibility rule should be ignored.
  6. Where is he inputting? It states that a rider must have three rides unless he is injured in THAT meeting. For a speedway rule, it's pretty clear. The referee's interpretation is just asking for problems... perfect for teams with riders like Troy Batchelor who might decide they're not up for racing on a particular night, instead of being stuck with them for at least 3 rides, can claim a previous injury and replace him the rest of the night after his first one.
  7. I don't make the rules, but if a rider refuses to ride for you he is with holding his services and that is usually a 28 day ban.
  8. Bless, Only abusive to racists. That's how I've always understood it as well Fred, pretty clear that IRR was not available last night. I'd like to add my congratulations to Leicester, in particular Nicolai Klindt who rode his heart out to get a 21pt maximum in a recent home meet, only to see Leicester miss out by 2 pts at the end. I was concerned a similar thing was going to happen again last night, but this time they saw it through.
  9. Except PK exits Turn 2 wide most of the time..... but yes, a very good signing.
  10. Just re-read your post and this part shows the mind blowing hypocrisy of it! So basically you're saying if you agree that a rider is boring, you have no issue... but if you don't, it's offensive? Staggering. If that is the case then 'Boring' applies more then ever to Richie Worrall. Sense of humour required...
  11. I think you'll find most people wouldn't be bothered in the slightest. Only those looking for reasons to be offended. I can categorically state it wouldn't bother me one iota if someone decided I was boring and it doesn't bother me one iota that you do. Given your previous post I'm actually glad that you find my posts boring. I'm going to break something to you now, which it seems may be news to you.. Speedway has a very small following.. do you know why? Because the overwhelming majority of people find it 'boring'. They're not being offensive to speedway riders, they just aren't excited by the sport. Silverbee has provided a brilliant service for a number of years on the updates site and injected humour into his service which is enjoyed by many. That service may well end now because of quite frankly pathetic individuals like yourself. If, as has been alluded to, Worrall has complained about the reference, then he's worthy of words that actually ARE offensive.
  12. What an absolutely pathetic post. Finding something boring is a subjective opinion. What one person feels is boring another will find exciting. Disagreeing is fine, but being 'offended'.. time to grow up.
  13. I did say back when we signed Bech and everyone was all excited... he has a habit of going awol.
  14. Is PK's average 5.51? If so, as another poster mentioned earlier, I think that is below Howarth so he will be lining up at reserve on Monday??
  15. Scored 9 from 4 rides against Leicester. Edited to add. His scores this year At home: 3 0 2 2* (heat leader) 0 2 0 3 (heat leader) 2 3 3 1 (reserve) 2* 3 3 1 (second string) Away: 0 1 1* 1 (at Coventry as heat leader) 0 1* 0 (at Coventry as heat leader) R 2 1* 1* 2 (at Leicester as reserve) 1* 2 1* R (at Poole as heat leader) 1 3 0 2 (at Swindon as heat leader) 0 1 1* 2* ( at Lakeside as second string) Home form hasn't been that bad. Away has struggled, particularly the two Coventry meetings.
  16. I think I need to be honest here... Last night I was shouting profanities at Bech to get off the inside line so the reality is I did feel the same as other posters on here. It's only this morning that I looked at his races and realised he drew the short end of the stick... normally he'd be facing Kerr or Mear in two of his rides, almost guaranteeing him another couple of points.. 6+2 from 4 would have been deemed as ok. As it was, the home track specialist Bridger was at reserve.
  17. And I thought Peter Adams makes some crazy decisions. That would have been an insane decision to make. Again, Bech was against Kennett, Bridger and Jonsson in his first three races. After Heat 1, no Wolves rider got near those three, apart from Heat 15 when Bridger was taken out by his own team mate. In his one race against other opposition, i.e. Nilsson and Lawson, both good riders, Bech had a paid win.
  18. Meeting should have been postponed in January. Shocking.
  19. I'm not denying that.. but they were beating and passing most of the others on the Wolves team with ease also. The line being used last night I don't think Bech has every really rode, he was always more of an inside man, rather like how Kim Nilsson tends to ride the track. His final ride he did ride very well, but as you say, more would have been expected.
  20. I expected more from Bech last night, however, looking back, it's not all that surprising he didn't score more. The only Lakeside riders he actually lost to were Kennett, Bridger and Jonsson and they had the beating of pretty much the entire Wolves team as it was. In his one race against Lawson and Nilsson he got a 5-1 with Lindgren. The anomaly of Bridger being at reserve made things look much worse than they were.
  21. I wouldn't say awful. Been somewhat disappointing, but not awful. Old school average of 6.40.
  22. Well that wouldn't be a very successful tactic at Lakeside. In fact that's what some of the Wolves team were doing.. and getting passed over and over.
