Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?
BWitcher replied to robert72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Not thinks, KNOW. You see, unlike some on this forum, I don't post about something unless I am right, be pretty foolish to do otherwise wouldn't it? There have of course been occasions when I have been corrected, at which point I put my hands up, learn something new and move on. A lesson many would be wise to learn. You however seem to make a habit of 'liking' and siding with the forum clowns.. each to their own. -

Just give it up, You are the one who has made the comments, not me. If bringing a persons name into it causes an issue then it clearly shows how wrong your comments are. In actual fact, you've just done it again, I am 100% sure that the 'said person' respects her son, not just for his sporting achievements, so yes, it is 100% what the debate was about. As for your questions about children.. Firstly, you seem to be living in some bubble where someone goes out all 'clean cut' and then returns with giant ear lobes and facial tattoos. I'm not sure what fantasy world you are living in but I doubt that has happened anywhere. As with Tai, change is gradual. Grachan pretty much has it nailed on, like him I would advise against tattoos as they aren't my cup of tea but once my child is an adult it is completely up to them, it's not illegal to have tattoos or giant ear lobes and if they chose that route, I would respect their decision and it would make zero difference to my love for them NOR would it make me an irresponsible parent as you originally claimed.

I would humbly suggest that someone who constantly not only reads a thread, but posts on it, when they claim they have no interest in it is fitting of the term 'clown', Are you jealous Starman? Is Robert72 taking away all your attention? -

Yeah you're right... in years to come folk will not remember the multi World Champion Woffinden because he swore once. But they'll look fondly back at the drug taking, police fleeing, alcohol test failing non World Champion (senior, not U-21), Ward. Don't be so ridiculous. It's tragic what happened to Ward, but it doesn't excuse his past indiscretions. The boat is starting to sail for Emil too if he wants to achieve what Woffinden has. -
Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?

So the guy who is constantly preaching how much respect should be given to anyone who is brave enough to put their leg over a speedway bike and race.... resorts to mocking someone who has done just that. That's pretty much every ounce of integrity you had remaining out of the window. -

JL doesn't have to show any money as he hasn't lost any bet you clown. Should you provide the proof you claim you can, then JL has to pay up. If he doesn't you can then hound him, mock him and laud it over the forum. Such a rich opportunity for you, it's a no lose situation for you! Either the Ben Fund which you worship gains 10K, or you prove everyone wrong and make every single poster on this thread a fool. However, if you really want to go down the 'showing the money line', you are the one who set the stakes, you should show the money first. It's a shame for the Ben Fund that their name is being dragged through the mud in such a disgraceful fashion as this. If you really did care so much about it you would show some respect and not make promises you cannot keep. Either way, your failure to follow through on the bet has cost the Ben Fun 10K. You should be ashamed. -
Thanks for confirming. Now as said, go tell Sue Woffinden what an irresponsible parent she is because I can guarantee you she respects her son. I see you are now changing your words though, you mentioned nothing about being happy, or indeed it being a preference before.. your words were if they respected their offspring for choosing to look like Tai they are an irresponsible parent. As SCB has said, it's 2016, times have changed and the antiquated views of the past are fading away.

I don't know where these false claims are coming from, but I am SPARTACUS.

Cardiff Saturday 9th July 2016
BWitcher replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Better start a thread... "Should the Rugby Club facilities be used for the memorabilia fayre at Cardiff" Then wax lyrical about how the Rugby Club does nothing for the Ben Fund. -
Robert72 could end the speculation at any time, he chooses not too because he's a troll, he cares not for the fact that someone else might be being slighted in the process.
-
Once again you are rambling on in complete denial. These are your words... I have twisted nothing. It's crystal clear what you have said. It matters not one iota who you were aiming the comments at, you have established the criteria. As such any parent who has offspring with tattooed face and dumbo like ears is in your eyes 'not a responsible parent'. I understand, when faced with the reality of the insulting nature of your words it can be something of a shock. It's easy to type them, easy to think them, but when facing up to what you are actually saying you recoil. It's natural to lash out as you are doing, come up with silly excuses such as "I only meant the comments at you" blah blah. So come on, here's your out.. Do you stand by your comments that parents who respect offspring with tattooed faces and dumbo like ears are not responsible? Simple yes or no answer.
-
No I'm not wriggling at all. I've remained consistent all the way through. Nothing unsavoury, only your bigoted words. There is no 'agreeing to disagree', you've insulted the parents of offspring with tattoos and 'dumbo like ears'. Simple as that. I'd quite happily accept that you may not have meant too, or perhaps you could have phrased your original posts better and it's kicked off a misunderstanding, but for some reason you want to stick by that statement.
-
No, I said I am not a fan of facial tattoos, or indeed tattoos in general. That means I, personally, wouldn't want them. However, what I like or don't like is utterly irrelevant towards what somebody else who may like them prefers. Do you criticise people who eat foods you don't like? Like films you don't like? The more you speak, the more your bigotry shines through. iour initial statement, which you are amazingly standing by, has accused parents of offspring with tattoos and 'dumbo like ears' of being 'irresponsible' if they still respect them. I am glad you have clarified that you stand by it, if you'd stated you'd worded it incorrectly it would have made sense.. but you clarifying it validates my initial statement. Go tell Tai's mom she is an irresponsible parent, I'm sure she'd be glad to hear from you. You can line up behind Robert72 when he gives Tai his thoughts.
-
What assumptions, your words are clear. You view parents who respect 'offspring' with tattoos and 'dumbo like' ears as irresponsible. 100% crystal clear. All that is worse is your pathetic attempts to wriggle out of it. You've clearly realised the ridiculousness of your comment and the insulting nature of it towards such parents and are now desperately trying to get out of the hole you have dug rather than be an adult, hold your hand up and accept you spoke out of turn.
-
Of course it's not immaterial, as it's leading you to ignore what is staring you in the face. The very fact that bigotry based upon someone's appearance is innocuous to you speaks volumes. The very fact you find nothing wrong with parents being called 'irresponsible' if they are accepting of their children choosing to look that way speaks volumes. Again his words. Very clear. A parent who respects their offsprings decisions is 'irresponsible'. This thread is about Tai Woffinden, he is the only 'offspring' under discussion to have done these things, his parent is Sue Woffinden. It's pretty clear Hodgy finds her 'irresponsible'. You find that innocuous, I believe it's offensive. Each to their own.
-
Of course you would, because you don't like Woffinden. He was quite clear in his post in that if you are happy with a son who has tattoos and ears like dumbo you are an irresponsible parent. This thread is about Tai Woffinden. There is nobody else we are discussing who fits those attributes. If you are unable to find a link to Sue Woffinden from that then, well, words fail me.The reality is of course, you can find a link, but the link would make you face up to something which you likely don't wish to admit too. Isn't it strange how vocal people can be about such things until you introduce a bit of reality to it and then all of a sudden it's not what they meant. Of course, if you can point me towards someone else called Tai Woffinden that has tattoos and large ear lobes who isn't related to Sue Woffinden then I'll accept your premise.

Lakeside V Wolves Friday 15th July
BWitcher replied to tocha's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not quite sure how you are working that out. The best way to look at the league table is pts gained away - pts lost at home. Wolves +15 Belle Vue +14 Swindon +4 Lakeside +4 Poole +7 Kings Lynn -2 As such, if Wolves win their home meetings, Swindon and Lakeside would both need to gain 12pts away from home to pass them in their remaining fixtures, assuming they win their remaining home meets. -
Just to confirm what others have hinted at, the event isn't being shown on Portuguese Eurosport.

Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?
BWitcher replied to robert72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Reasonable debate 4 pages ago? There was never a reasonable debate to start with! The answer quite simply is yes, he should be riding for Team GB. Also, nobody has ever said Tai Woffinden is perfect, that's just a fabrication you've concocted to try and breathe life into your flagging argument. However, when you compare him against many, many riders of the past and present by the standards which you and others seem keen to judge, he comes out looking pretty good. -
I'm not the one who has made the despicable comments and then trying to deny them.
-
Stop digging bigot. "All you know it alls" That encompasses anyone who doesn't have an issue with their offspring having tattoos and 'dumbo like ears' as you call it. So you're really trying to claim, that on a thread about Tai Woffinden, you suggesting that someone happy with a son who looks like that is an irresponsible parent is not a slight on Tai's parents? Listen to yourself, you're tying yourself up in knots.
-
Correct.. which backs up my point. The issue is some posters post incorrect facts and then try to pass them of as opinion. For example.. I could post Greg Hancock is a seven time and reigning world champion. That would be incorrect and easily challenged... bleating it's my opinion would be foolish. Speaking of which.. So that's all you've got isn't it. Fall back onto the tired old lines trotted out by those who have been wrong before. I haven't made up any BS, merely quoted your very own insulting, bigoted words. Oh.. I forgot to add this little gem previously, which totally destroys your little tantrum above where you claim your comments were only made at me. As you can clearly see in your OWN words you said 'ALL'. Not me, ALL. If you'd simply made a point about Tai swearing, you would have had something of a case, however his tattoos and holes in his ears are utterly irrelevant yet you chose to add them in.. only one reason for that.
