If you read the posts prior to mine they were all in jest (mine included)...basically joking about those who keep posting on thread complaining people are posting.. I wasn't sure the first time if you were partaking in said jest or if you'd got the wrong end of the stick so to speak...

To be fair to Mockingjay, you could put a decent argument together for the inclusion of Harris who has always raised his game for the World Cup when selected and is a better rider than Cook, Lambert or King. Nicholls however I can't see any justification in including him at all.

Well Harris had two cracks at scoring more than five in far weaker meetings.. he scored 5 from 5 rides in an EL fixture and 5 from 5 in the British Final. Neither meeting anywhere near the standard of the World Cup Final. Nicholls, has been outscored by Cook around the NSS all season long. Scores for Nicholls at the NSS (most recent first) are 3,3,7,7,8,7,6. Cook reads 10,6,11,15,6,7. It's really not even close is it? King in his two meetings at the NSS scored 7 from four in the league and of course won the British Final.

That answers quite a few questions and certainly takes a lot of the ammunition away from the Tai Bashers. We now know why he wasn't at the pre-season camp, we also know he's organised and FUNDED fitness tests for the GB lads, seems it wasn't taken up.

What you are totally failing to take into account is the opposition. Who exactly would they have beaten to score these extra pts? As Fred Flange says, Cook scored 1 less than Lindback, 2 less than Doyle.

Correct, the argument that we had one of the lowest scoring second places is crazy as well. If all four teams are competitive, the scores will be lower.

That's the argument... but much of the evidence doesn't back it up though, the lack of consistency in their statements suggests something different.
