  1. So you were having a conversation with non speedway fans about a rumour in a sport they aren't interested in or have any understanding how it works! lol.. Of course you were! Back to your imaginary friends again.
  2. Clearly improved as a rider? How'd you work that one out? Why don't you take a leaf out of your promoters book, Ford has handled the situation very well. Ok, now we're making sense. Holder, whose average is 7.35 is as good, if not better than Woffinden. So Woffinden on 7.03, by your own words, that's pretty much spot on then. Thanks for clearing that up for us!
  3. I've never been overly fussed over race jackets per se so can't really comment on that. However, on a similar topic, which rider has the best leathers is an interesting conversation also.. For me, Sam Ermolenko circa 1990-1993 with his blue/orange leathers were the best.. not that I'm in anyway biased I have always admitted, I do miss riders individual leathers since the advent of 'teamsuits', although can see the benefit of them.
  4. Correct, I was basing that assumption on your claims that the playoff system loses teams money.. Now as all the major leagues operate a play off system, they're all throwing money away... is that not a dumb thing to do? Have you raised the issue with Belle Vue's promoters, why they back a system that loses them money?
  5. It's your argument, not mine. So promoters aren't dumb then to have a system you say loses them money? Which is it? Either promoters across England, Sweden, Denmark and Poland are dumb... or you are wrong? Has to be one or the other.
  6. Hmm.. you realise that you are belittling your very own argument don't you? I've simply pointed out your argument... but you take it as being sarcastic.. interesting. Seems you don't really believe what you've been trolling about for years then?
  7. A discussion forum really isn't the right place for you then is it? You make a very strange statement, are asked to explain what you mean and refuse to do so. That's an adult way of discussing things! So we can take it as there is no reasoning behind your post and it was just nonsense then? Come on, enlighten us, how is Tai Woffinden signing for Wolves an example of why speedway will never move forward? You must have a reason!
  8. Who is banging on? I'm agreeing with you, the playoffs are causing promoters to lose money in bucketloads! Season after season they're just throwing it away... Not just in the UK but across Europe. Can you believe those dumb Swedes? Poland, we hear that they know how to promote speedway, what fools they are!! As for the Danes, well less said about their playoff system the better. I thought the Premier League promoters had seen the light when they switched away from the playoffs, but then the dumb fools went back to it! Can you believe that? Now even the National League is getting in on the act. Can't you have a word with your promotion? They're part of this, get them to speak out! Surely you don't want to see your club losing money like this... tell them what fools they are!
  9. Surely that's sabotaging Matt's plans? Are you defecting?
  10. Yep, I can remember way back when he did a tour of the English tracks and he came to Wolves.
  11. Were you perhaps suggesting that new rules to benefit the sport overall aren't introduced due to each or certain teams wanting the rules to suit themselves? If so, that's fair enough and that has some merit. It has nothing to do with this situation however.
  12. Ah Zetters, A legendary character from the very early days of both this forum and the old speedway lists!
  13. Well, as it is a forum, why don't you explain your post and how you feel it should be interpreted? You may well have a point, but without you saying what it is, how can I, or anyone else possibly know? Otherwise, it remains as it stands and there is no correlation.
  14. As has been pointed out I was being sarcastic.. I for the life of me cannot see any correlation between a team improving their side and the sport not being able to move forward....
  15. Ah! I understand now, you're right. I was going to be flying over to take in the playoffs, I won't now, my team is trying to win. I don't what that, who would? Let's take Poole, their fans are sick of their team trying everything they can to win each year. Little wonder they get the lowest crowds in the league. Coventry under Sandhu, what a disaster that was, making changes where necessary to increase chances of success.. just turned the fans away. I still shake my head when I watch the Poole v Coventry playoff final in the deserted stadium.. Far better to just drift along and do nothing to improve your team, that packs the crowds in, guaranteed!
  16. Tbf on a still frame photograph I'd agree. However, Gresham was trying to claim that it was easier to identify TEAMS from the terraces from race jackets alone, rather than team suits... so when a rider is flying down the back straight, you are on the home straight, putting helmet colors aside, he claimed it was easier to see the race bib than suits. Obviously that was utterly ridiculous. Unable to accept that, as per norm he had a hissy fit, made a massive post about people respecting opinions (without realising the irony of what he was saying) and stuck folk on ignore. He's since repeated said childish action numerous times since regarding other equally ridiculous topics. Now to top it all off he thinks it's some sort of badge of honour to proudly display who he has ignored (basically who corrected him on his nonsense) as can be seen from his signature. Personally I find it amusing and it simply clarifies that type of character he is.. there's only one other person I've seen who used to proudly announce those on his ignore list and that was/is Gustix.
  17. Wolfsbane.. surely you are, like me, somewhat in shock? CVS and Peter Adams have wildly surpassed what we would expect this time! I think it's only right and fair we give them the credit for making this move.
  18. Good job he's not replacing him just for the play-offs then isn't it.
  19. It's really going to kick off when Piotr Pawlicki replaces Sam Masters
  20. That's right, you said it! They must all be out to lose money, after all it's so obvious, as you keep telling us that play-offs have a negative effect. Have the esteemed Belle Vue promotion spoken out about the play-offs? Or do they fall into the dumb promoters category as well?
  21. Woffinden wouldn't know if they could fit him in next season, neither would Belle Vue. So clearly his answer was based upon this season.. which comes back to stevebrum's point of, the riders will more often than not tell you what you want to hear. Now what the actual truth is, I don't know, you don't know, neither does Stevebrum. Reality is, he is a Wolves asset, has spent his entire Elite League career with Wolves (bar his brief doubling up) and is returning to Wolves. That may change in the future.. time will tell.
  22. Stop playing games DAC. You know full well your reference to Woffinden saying 'they can't fit me in' was to suggest/back the claim he had approached Belle Vue for a place.
  23. So you keep telling us, year after year. I guess the promoters are just too dumb to realise it, including your beloved promotion at Belle Vue, or have I missed them speaking out on this subject? Premier League promoters are as foolish as well.. they were so stupid they changed back to the straight league system only to ditch it and go back to the play-offs method! Idiots, they just want to throw money down the drain. Don't even get me started on the fools in Sweden, Denmark and Poland. What is wrong with these promoters!!
  24. Nothing is confirmed yet so let's just wait and see....
  25. Five years is a long time but they are the most probable contenders. No different to any other era really under a GP format.
