  1. News relating to speedway riders on a speedway General Discussions section..... You're not helping yourself Gavan.
  2. Ahh diddums, put your dummy back in, poor Wibble has been closed. As for you being 'good at Maths', you might be, that doesn't stop you making an utter fool of yourself arguing a lost cause. Attendances will always fluctuate from year to year, the simple facts remain, the crowds for regular league meetings are far higher in Sweden since the playoffs than in the time preceding it. You wanted facts, Arnieg has provided them. Next you'll be arguing that Bilston Town get better gates than the FA Cup Final because they increased theirs from 100 to 125, whilst the cup Final gate went down by 100 people.
  3. Thanks for that Arnieg. Pretty much blows Fred's argument out of the water. Your last ever post as Drop a Cog before needing to create a new account. 02 October 2015 - 04:36 PM SCB, on 30 Sept 2015 - 11:10 AM, said: Banned until today, the quoted phrase was bigoted morons'? and the linked post was http://www.speedway-...indpost=2683526 I did try and contact Phil hine but he didn't have the balls or manners to reply, even via Facebook. See ya! When you say someone doesn't have the balls to even reply, that's essentially abusing them. As for your 'See ya" that didn't last long did it? Drop a Cog's infamous last post, 02 October 2015. Fred Flange account created on... wait for it! Oh 02 October 2015. As for Wibble, your other account, who only posted yesterday... funnily enough today he is now 'no longer active'!! Funny that!
  4. There are no lies there Drop a Cog/Wibble/Fred. You clearly think it's clever to flout forum rules, it just shows you up to be a very sad individual. Don't implode again and start abusing people.
  5. Fred Flange used to be Drop a Cog. He imploded around play off time last year, starting calling folk names and was banned before on his return abusing Phil the owner of the forum. He disappeared then, but 'Fred Flange' was created on the same day along with 'Wibble'. He doesn't use Wibble much apart from occasionally to support his own posts, or whenever you mention Wibble, he'll post as him to try and show how clever he is to have two accounts. Some people are of the belief that Ouch is also Drop a Cog/Fred Flange/Wibble, but I'm not certain on that one.. might be, might not.
  6. And this is Fred Flange's third account. Total disregard for forum rules having multiple accounts. Who was rightly banned. As should DropaCog/FredFlange/Wibble be. Many think he is Ouch as well.. the first three are certainties though.
  7. Indeed, it's a subject open to debate WK. I, as I have stated, preferred individual leathers as I loved my favourite riders standing out etc.. as did many speedway fans. However, I also see the view that having team leathers, for a 'team' event does make the sport look more professional. It's something that can be discussed civilly without having to resort to the absolutely ridiculous posts such as the one you have seen above from Gresham, which has no place on any forum. Bless. Do you feel better now?
  8. So you keep telling us, yet those who have access to all the actual figures, in each and every major country that speedway operates team speedway, chooses to have a play off system. I ask you yet again, but in the knowledge you won't answer, why would they be choosing to use a system that you 'claim' brings in a lot less money?
  9. Barking up the wrong tree there I'm afraid as unlike most on this forum, if my team, or riders in my team do something dumb I will say so. Tai has obviously made a spur of the moment tweet that perhaps wasn't wise. Clearly something has happened that has angered him. In time the reasons will start to come out be it from a press release from Tai, or from the BSPA. Then we can begin to judge the situation.
  10. It's nothing to do with true fans. It's to do with being sensible enough to wait and see what the reasons are before making a decision either way! I'm not defending him, I'm not attacking him, simply waiting for more information before forming an opinion..
  11. You are quite correct, he should be on his old average which was 7.03 (I think!)
  12. Yes you're wrong. It's been explained to you why you are wrong. Even the GB manager says you are wrong.
  13. No there wasn't. Belle Vue offered the track to GB riders at late notice for those who could make it. If you are going to try and debate something, at least educate yourself on the facts. As nothing had been arranged, Tai had already arranged something at his own expense. Net result, he was brilliant and helped us to win silver.
  14. No, it doesn't require a brown nose, it requires objectivity. An objective person would not even jump to a conclusion at the moment, all we know is something has happened to cause Tai to quit GB. In time we may get to know more, then we can objectively decide whether he is right or wrong. To clarify, these are the words of a closed minded hater. You don't know the situation, you don't know what has happened or caused him to 'quit', yet you instantly jump to this conclusion.
  15. There wasn't a Monday practice. A practice is an official session organised in advance.
  16. I can only laugh at the same old haters on here who wouldn't hear a word said against Scott Nicholls refusing to ride for GB for years..... Exactly!
  17. Whereas before you had dead fixtures from around 25% into the season. Clubs would be introducing new signings just to give them a bit of experience for the future as matches didn't mean a lot. Riders would be dropping their average for the following year as matches didn't mean a lot. The dead rubber argument only enhances the playoff argument.... not weakens it.
  18. Exactly, you don't know enough. Now I am assuming the people who know best are the ones running the clubs.... and they have decided a playoff system is best. Why would they do that?
  19. The actual tweet: Tai Woffinden ‏@TWoffinden 24m24 minutes ago Good luck to #TeamGB in the future! A lot of you wont understand but true fans will! I ain't being mugged of any more #LastStraw #OverIt
  20. Let's see if he gets praised as highly as Mr Nicholls did!
  21. It's only Wolves juniors in reality, they just found a way to make it viable
  22. Actually in a way yes. The Premier League abandoned the playoffs but then reverted back to them as they were financially better for them. That's not 'perception', that's reality. Anyway, putting that aside, answer a simple question.. Why, if the playoffs lose clubs money over the season as you claim, do all three leagues in the UK have play-offs, Sweden have play-offs, Poland have play-offs, Denmark have play-offs?
  23. Probably just confirms what aliens would think of the human race when given the chance to pick anybody to represent us, our no 1 is a murderer.
  24. An amicable thread proceeding along quite nicely until this character resurfaces again with his hypocritical abusive bile. The argument was never distinguishing riders, the argument was distinguishing teams.. quite a difference. Your post really does speak for itself, a forum isn't a good place for you. Incidentally, when you have someone on ignore, you don't see their posts unless they are quoted.. My post has not been quoted on this thread yet here you are commenting on it.. So your signature is not only abusive, it's simply attention seeking isn't it? Totally against the rules of a civilised forum which this is. Anyway, back to the thread.
