He did, but there was only one guy outside him as Andersen touched the tapes. He was programmed from gate 4 though in that race He can win off the inside if he makes a clear gate. Career average doesn't lie though, over a fair few seasons... around 4.4 of gates 1 and 2 at Monmore and over 8 from gates 3 and 4.

Clearly you went to a different meeting to anyone else. Howe was pretty impressive given his time away from the sport and improved as the meeting went on. Thorssell and Masters between them scored 36pts, Nicholls and Harris scored 30. So more garbage. Wells is excellent at Monmore, it's his away form that lets him down. Of course Klindt didn't beat Thorssell by half a lap at all not that he is at all relevant as he didn't want to sign for Wolves.

It doesn't matter what you suggest. There is a children's section though if you want to post your fantasies in there.

He knows plenty and has commentated on the World Cup previously, very well indeed.

Now that you mention it, yes, it very likely would. There has never been any link to 'quality of racing' equalling 'bigger crowds' in the history of the sport.

Who Were The Better Team Belle Vue Or Cradley Heath.?
BWitcher replied to Sidney the robin's topic in Years Gone By
Too young to have seen either side (first meeting was 84) but thoroughly enjoyed reading this thread.. this is the forum at it's best. Ignoring the ramblings of Gustix of course! -
If that was the case, not much point in us purchasing Masters then really? I was a little surprised when I saw Edinburgh had signed him, but tbh, in the current climate, any point in us spending money to make him an asset?
-
There is absolutely zero evidence to suggest this is the case. Biggest myth in speedway. Meanwhile back on Planet Earth it serves up some of the most exciting racing EVER seen in the sport. This is the kind of thing that the sport needs.
-
This is certainly the quickest way to ensuring no speedway is shown on TV.

Yes he did. Gavan has many faults, but he isn't in the wrong here. Yes, he shouldn't respond, but don't blame the victim, if Robert72 wasn't such a troll the problem wouldn't occur.

Simon Wigg Or Kelvin Tatum?
BWitcher replied to scottyfan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
One all but destroyed the sport, the other is working hard to try and get it back to where it was -
Simon Wigg Or Kelvin Tatum?
BWitcher replied to scottyfan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Bribed opponents to drop points to him wasn't it? Wigg was responsible for a massive proportion of the decline of British Speedway. -
Simon Wigg Or Kelvin Tatum?
BWitcher replied to scottyfan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You're right.. sort of, I don't think anyone ever did as much damage to the sport off track as Wigg did. Unmatched indeed! As others have said, Tatum by some distance as a rider, but Wigg, especially in his younger days was the more exciting. -
Porkie does it at Wolverhampton also, from the final bend to the line. I quite like it. Not sure about the whole race. Commentary on dvd's etc can either make a big difference to the race. I have a classic race between Ryan Sullivan and Mikael Karlsson at Peterbrough on dvd, two different versions. In one the commentary adds to it and makes it even more thrilling, on the other the commentary makes you fall asleep.

Chris Holder Or Niels K Iversen?
BWitcher replied to Shale Searcher's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
There's always one nonsense comment on every thread. Holder a few years ago was ahead of NKI for sure and likely still would have been but for his bad crash at Coventry, then the injury to Ward. He's also five years younger. -
Wouldn't the fact that Auty is three years older have something to do with that also?
-
Well spotted.. Fred will wriggle out of it though.... and did.
-
Or 2 laps, then pull off the track in KK's case (done several times at Wolves). Far be it from me to defend old Fred, but he's got you there I'm afraid. I'll let him explain.
-
As a Wolves fan I would take Cook 100 times out of 100 over KK as well. If I was a Poole fan, different story.
-
You seem pretty confident, what odds are you prepared to offer? Should be easy money for you right?
-
The more I think about this the more I think Dean has completely the wrong end of the stick here. I'd say in the modern world and to attempt to capture more younger fans MORE of an emphasis on the fitness side of things is required. You're always seeing articles about such and such a celebrities fitness regime.

At Wolverhampton we've been fortunate in that respect as the club has always been loyal to riders. Graham Jones is one I would put up as an unsung hero. The problem is these days though Sidney is many fans moan when the 'same faces' are brought back....
