Totally agree with the above. Having watched it a few times now I believe that virtually ever rider in the top dozen or so would have gone for that gap, it was a good switch but Nicholls didnt quite make it. He should have been excluded, but that is an issue with the referee. It certainly wasnt close to some of the fencings that we have seen in other races over the last few years. No need for hysteria!

Is someone going to add it to youtube?

I would agree with you that it is not, but he is next in line in the qualifying process, and therefore he has earned his chance K -
2008 Grand Prix Series
BUDGIE replied to T.N.T.'s topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Sorry I dont agree, Laguta,Lindgren and Bjerre haven't qualified despite having the chance to. 2 of them failed when the pressure was on, whilst I'm not too sure what happened with Laguta with regards to qualification, the fact is that he hasnt qualified. K -

That may well be your view, but I want to see the 15 best riders in the world in the SGPs and Hampel is one of them when not injured K -
2008 Grand Prix Series
BUDGIE replied to T.N.T.'s topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think that it would be harsh to eliminate Hampel as he has got 67pts from 8 GPs instead of 10, due to injury, do you not think he will get the nod ahead of the qualifier failures? Best hope for KK/FL might be if someone in the Top 6 decides its time to finish. -
Who's going to.............. Sorry only joking spiegal! K

Kevin, as you can see by the details below, I have only been kept interested in Speedway for the last 10 years by the SGPs. No-one to support?, what about the English boys?, are they not worthy? I must say not having a team to support has raised my patriotism! Cheers K PS Birmingham have benefitted this year from SGPs keeping me interested!

Kevin, I know that you are no fan of the SGPs, however an alternative view point might be that the SGPs are the only thing worth watching nowadays. K

New Article On The Cradley Website
BUDGIE replied to BUDGIE's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Yes, you are correct and I must apologise for that error, was in a bit of a rush to get the article finished, have now checked with http://www.speedwayworld.tv and can confirm that it was the Top 8 excluding Andersen who qualified. I had originally written it like that, but then decided it was the Top 10, hence the reference to the 'Andersen affair' Hans got in because of his third place in the qualifier. He is though somewhat bizarely listed as number 6 for next year which seems to indicate that his finish in the actual GPs took precedence over the qualifier, if you see what I mean. In which case Hampel needed to be nominated, which he wasn't! Andersen does though without a doubt deserve to be there, and should according to me be wearing 14 next year, not that I matter! Glad you enjoyed the article, check back again in a month or so for further ramblings from me! -
According to http://www.speedwayworld.tv/ Trick has announced that he had retired from all Speedway, effective immediately. I'll always remember his pass on Nielsen in the 1994 World Final at Vojens,I was standing looking down that straight, I think that was the moment he really arrived!

BUDGIE replied to rach's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Did you get my eMail that I sent to you? -
It was actually written some time ago now, prior to the announcements of the first favoured BSI riders to qualify, as you could see from the site editors note at the bottom of my article. To quote 'N.B. This article was written before the announcement by BSI regarding any wild card nominations for the 2006 series.' That is not to say that I am not in a state of delirium! Its a good game when you're winning! Keith

Thanks for the info., I am sure you are correct. So no place for the u21 winner next year then, no wonder Sucanek wasnt bothered about having a run-off then! Hope you dont mind but I've added your correction to the Cradley webpage on the Fans Forum, with a credit to this website of course!
