What Channel?

Another week and still no mention about the tickets. I realise the two GP’s are still a long time away but some press release stating that they are going to be on sale imminently. As it stands, and the longer the tickets aren’ on sale the more rumours will persist.

This is getting a little perplexing. I like many, have no doubt booked Hotels etc. I don't really see what the problem is with releasing the tickets? Even some idea on the cost would be good.

Any news on the date they will go sale?

Has anyone any updates on when the Belle Vue tickets are likely to go on sale? I see with the exception of Gorzow all the other venues have made tickets available.

In the scenario outlined below how are the riders seperated? Over three rounds: Rider 5 - world rank 2 collects 25pts, 10pts, 5pts; Rider 1 - world rank 1 collects 5pts, 25ps, 10pts; Rider 13 - world rank 7 collects 10pts, 5pts, 25pts; Rider 7 - world rank 4 collects 20pts, 0pts, 20pts. All riders end up with 40pts over three rounds but how is it worked out their final positions?

Yes, but if Belle Vue is successful then why not try doing the same in Poland in 2026 where you are guaranteed a decent crowd.

With the announcement of the back-to-back Grand Prix at Belle Vue, do yo think Warner Bros will be looking to extend this idea in 2026 and maximise income. No doubt two-day events in Poland and Sweden would be well attended In those countries - if they are sensibly priced.

Another consideration is how many fans will do the two meetings or will select just one? For example where Clubs or Tour Operators offer trips they are not going to do both days without incorporating an overnight stay. For example Poole or Plymouth are not going to run a coach for both days. Also, how much is it costing Warner Bros to cancel Cardiff? I presume the WFU will want compensation?

Hi has anyone any idea when the tickets for the Grand Prix at Manchester will go on sale?

I have noted the new heat format for the SGP in 2025 with the inclusion of the last chance qualifiers (LC1 & LC2). My question relates to the following, after 20 heats I realise the top two go straight through to the final, but of the remaining riders from 3 down to 10 go in which heats. From here the two winners go into the final (Heat 23) to join the top two from the qualifying heats but which winner of (LC) qualifiers get the third and fourth pick of gate positions in the final. Subsequently, how are the third and fourth place riders from these heats placed in the final standings? For example, which of the two third and two fourth placed finishers are placed higher in the final standings. Can anyone explain or point me in the direction of the rules. The old format had a handy *.pdf you could download showing all the details. Thanks in advance.

Bingo! It has been delivered (Saturday)! When done Royal Mail, another example on there complete incompetence.

It is the same here. Speedway Star - the original never seems to turn up! I usually wait to Friday / Monday lunchtime once the post has been that morning. The duplicate seems to turn up the next day but the original can turn up the following Tuesday if it does at all. I feel sorry for the guys at the Speedway Star as it must be hard keeping the magazine going without the Royal Mail doing their best to ruin things. It is also getting a tad embarrassing having to keep ringing up and telling them of another no-show. I think I will give it a couple more weeks and I will make the switch to the digital version.

Did they say when tickets will be going on sale?

The Speedway Star is great. My problem is with the Post Office, five out the last six week it hasn't turned up on the Thursday. When I ring up the duplicate issue turns up the next day. Sometimes, the original will turn up on the Tuesday or Wednesday but usually not at all. It is getting so bad I am becoming increasingly suspicious about the Royal Mail as if this is going astray what else is?

I don't think any riders are dangerous - perhaps a better way would be to describe riders who see no fear and thus take more chances.

Can anyone tell me the name and address of the working mans club next to Belle Vue where they held the Collectors Fair for the SON. It has lots of Belle Vue memorabilia in. Thanks in advance.

Whilst in Manchester for the Speedway of Nations and talking to a number of supporters from fellow Clubs, a lot of the Supporters seem to share the consensus that the sport in its present guise - with tracks diminishing, an elderly fanbase, etc will face a struggle to survive. One thing also struck me was the range of ideas Supporters had and the vast amount of knowledge and business acumen the Sport is missing out on. Travelling home I wondered if anybody has thought have forming a National Speedway Supporters Trust - where members could join and pledge money each month - that would be used to sustain the sport. The money a member would have to pay could start at £2 a month or upwards. The body of the Trust Board would be democratically elected by the Trust members each season. Monies raised by the Trust would be used to provide the long-term future of the Sport and not to prop up the sports bad management. Any thoughts?
