From his Chapman's press release 23rd May ...... “All of the financial and team matters at King’s Lynn are taken on by Alex Brady and Dale Allitt, although obviously I still have responsibility for the stadium.I do still own the club, it hasn’t been sold yet, but the funding is not coming from me this year." “At Peterborough everyone knows the problems we have faced, and it was me who did the deal with Nicki Pedersen to race at No.1, which unfortunately went wrong after one race. Since then we’ve been looking for a replacement, and trying to book the best guests we can under the circumstances."

Poole Vs Plymouth 7th June league
Hackett replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Poole are a dominant side and many peoples favourites for the league but the Plymouth effort is pretty pitiful. Seems as though apart from Worrall the Plymouth team is struggling. Would of expected much more from Howarth. -
Birmingham's woes comes as no surprise the team apart from Morris and Sedgman looks like a team of reserves. What are the crowds like at Perry Barr this season ... ??

Czech GP round 3 Saturday June 3rd
Hackett replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
For Prague agreed not too bad - started off well then got slicker as meeting went on. Bewley decent meeting just a caught in wrong place in semi and possibly made right move but wrong time ... but looked quick. Little disappointed with Lambert had hoped for more at 28/1. Vaculik saved my day betting wise at 10/1. Woffy just didn't look quick enough which doesnt bode well for next week. -
Would imagine he is on his way.

I went Holder vs Laguta - Holder was +5 on the handicap also went Lewi Kerr to outscore Jorgensen. Can't say I faired so well with my Ipswich bets - had King -4 to beat Becker but no such luck thought Becker at Ipswich with three meetings in quick succession may struggle a little but he scored enough to make bet a loss.

King’s Lynn v Sheffield 01/06/23
Hackett replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I imagine Lewi Kerr was grinning under that lid tonight paid maximum vs the Stars. As for Laguta give him time sure he will be dominant on the bigger tracks Monmore Green may come as a bit if a shock. The rest of the squad looks paper thin though. -
World Cup - Wroclaw July 2023
Hackett replied to Monarchs2468's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Anybody been to Wroclaw before - where would be the best area to sit. Plus is there any family package 2adults + 2 children or is it 89/109zl per ticket -
The future of British Speedway after the 2023 season
Hackett replied to TTT's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As Martin Dugard stated a one purpose stadium is far easier to obtain planning permission for. Alternatively greyhounds doesn't need a crowd just the ability to stream racing to Asia to allow betting to take place. Just a cover up on Entain's part. -
Warsaw GP Saturday May 13th 2023
Hackett replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Talk about a "home" decision - Gutted that they didn't put a microphone in front of Doyle he may of spoken a few home truths. Congratulations to Freddie and Jack Holder on an excellent meeting. -
Really wish the reformed Comets all the best in the future. Looks like a great little set-up. Reminds me of a track I saw in Norway years ago. Hope that it is a successful future for the Comets. In a perfect situation something like this in the Eastbourne area would be great but I wonder if green-belt and cost of land would obviously be an issue in the South of England or relatively close to towns / cities like Peterborough or Swindon

Is there a GoFundMe page for the Kings Lynn Pit Gate ???

Understandable in the rain , Gorican is pretty much a one line track at the best of the times. With a downpour and no outside line even more so tonight - Warsaw next up then the racetrack that is Prague - or the Borefest as it is known unless you have indulged in Czech Premium Lager. Can't see Zagar changing his terms to dramatically perhaps they will choose to go (G) all season.

Poole v Oxford - Good Friday
Hackett replied to stevehone's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Think this will be a relatively easy home win. Nicholls, Masters + Kerr likely to score 95% of the Cheetahs points will need a big contribution from Heeps to keep this close. Poole by 15+ -
Can see Lions being fairly happy with that result. As expected the Witches are going to be tough to beat in Hts 13 + 15 hopefully the Sayfutdinov + Doyle duo is enough to get people to watch the sport again. Certainly will be looking to see a meeting with those two in tandem.

The enigma that is KK - Personally I would not of considered him. Brady said in the Press. "He fits in perfectly with what we're trying to do and gives us good balance in the team. "The expectation is for him to be an eight-point rider in the league. If I get it wrong I'll eat my hat, but he will be a rider who helps us over the line when we need it." "That tells you a lot of what other clubs think of him as a rider. Going around a place like Sheffield he should fly and I've seen him here for Coventry when he beat Rory Schlein by half-a-lap and that's when Rory was king of the place." 5. Krzysztof Kasprzak - R, 0, 0 = 0 As for the temperature - I guess Poland has its own micro climate at Speedway tracks around the country.

Oxford v Poole 5/4/23 BSN Series
Hackett replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Was going to travel up as no local teams to me and kids on school holidays but with the threat of rain have decided against it. However will endeavour to get to a meeting at Oxford this Summer. -
Interesting article in the Speedway Star and interview with Martin Dugard. Who has no part of the ownership and was even removed from the stadium by Eric Dugard (owner). "I know there are applications for planning going on ... If there is one less sport in the stadium; it means there is more chance they will allow planning there. But I am not privvy to what is going on." He talked about the fractious relationship he and Jon Cook had as tenants at Arlington in a podcast - may of been My life in Speedway well worth a listen. Worrying as there was article on various closed tracks recently and a map in with the remaining tracks - considering you can eliminate Peterborough, Edinburgh from that map shortly it doesn't bode well as team sport in the current climate , despite the success of Oxford , Workington to get tracks back running.

Electric Speedway Bikes - No thanks !! Even my kids loved the noise, the smell - speedway in silence in no thanks.

Predictions for Prem 2023 as teams stand ...
Hackett replied to Pauldoveyspeedway's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As most have stated Belle Vue + Sheffield look very strong. Ipswich with the Emil and Doyle pairing will be competitive and no doubt will get plenty of Eurosport coverage. The rest of the teams look pretty even and should keep the league competitive. Leicester look pretty solid, especially if Fricke can make a contribution as an out and #1. Wolves despite the home track advantage and Peterborough Panthers look weakest. Panthers took ages to get the team finalised + just not convinced. Pedersen + Iversen back from injury. Andersen struggled last season although Basso is on the upward curve just don't think they will challenge for play-offs. Stars look ok but can see them having some horror meetings away from Norfolk. Hopefully though we will get a decent season of speedway with tracks allowing riders to race and entertain. Belle Vue Sheffield Ipswich Leicester Kings Lynn Wolverhampton Peterborough
