  1. Salty asked if prices were too high .... Very much so, 40 quid for seats for the final and 35 for the play off ... I think in Pboro it was 25 for the final and 20 for the play off so quite an increase ....However i still think the crowd on sat will be ok purely for the GB factor and that the swedes are through ... which will keep the Poole faithful happy.
  2. I was furious that a cracking meeting could of been ruined by the poxy JOKER rule ...!!!!!! Fortunately justice prevailed with Tomasz Gollob riding his socks off to beat Crumpie in the last heat .. well done Poland {who dont have a hotel booked} and Sweden ... Excellent meeting ... AJ balls of steel fella .... Gollob the best racer in speedway ... added to an excellent meeting Come on Team GB.
  3. Storms in London ..... what is the weather at Poole looking like ...
  4. Definately not red ...she got a face like a slapped ###### !!!
  5. Screenie has stated from the off that Poole is not one of his favourite tracks ... although if selected he would not let anyone down. Havvy will give it a go at Poole and should know how to set the bikes up for there and was impressive when guesting for Eastie recently. Whoever is in the team wont let us down for trying.
  6. Who took the dirt off Arlington !! Looked like a minie Wimborne Road
  7. The riders selected are Scott Nicholls (captain), Mark Loram, Lee Richardson, David Norris, Gary Havelock, David Howe, Stuart Robson, Joe Screen, Danny Bird, Chris Harris, Chris Neath and Dean Barker. Middleditch said: "The squad is in no particular order and I have an open mind about the starting line-up at this stage. Having seen Deano's recent Alington efforts I am surprised he has been called up into the squad ...
  8. It is woeful .... that would not entice ONE person to the SWC who isn't a speedway fan !! Shocking effort.
  9. Considering nicki's bad press was surprised to see him chase his bike down the straight and drag his bike off the track. BUT fair play that was genuine sportmanship considering his crash. Also applaud Jason Crump who went in Hans Andersen pit and patted him on the soulder following his 2x ef. However all in all felt this SGP was poor in comparison to Cardiff ... in terms of racing ..although the Danish crowd seemed to be making quite a good atmosphere.
  10. When interviewed during the meeting Scotty even mentioned that Greg Hancock hit a rut straightened up .... and that he dcould of bailed out but he is a racer !!!
  11. Following the current trend , I would imagine that it will be young guns rather than old hands. Perhaps David Howe , Chris Neath are two that spring to mind. Chris Harris seems to be struggling that takes him out of the equation. However with the qualifiers this weekend a good perfomance from Norris or Robson could push them into the reckoning.
  12. Adams is pretty reasonable odds for this weekends SGP as well. I managed to get 6/1 . Which on current form could be a snip !!
  13. At £18 for a ticket and in the region of £5 for a programme. Think I will give it a wide berth especially with only 1 Brit .....
  14. I personally wish that Ole Olsen would leave the track alone after practice ..... All the riders said it was better in practice. Crumpy claimed there were plenty of lines around the boards or on the inside in the afternoon. Ole must of thought it was a one day track again .. :-))) there was only one racing line last night ... Although the Aus vs GB battle was intruiging. What a crock crowd ... if the Denmark team had not turned up ... there would of been more officials and riders than crowd .. No wonder nobody wants to sponsor the event !!!
