Slovenian Gp
gooner_girl4eva replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Massive well done to Nicki, what a star! Great to see him get a well deserved victory and even when he was racing hard against the likes of Crumpy - he never made one controversial move so I am pleased he can win without receiving criticism. Nice one too since I bet on him Rotten luck for Adams, was convicned Crumy would get lucky and then win the final but thankfully that didnt happen. Great to see TRick beaten on more than 1 ocassion, lets hope this championship is going to be more even and down to the wire. Was disappointed by Hampel & Pedersen - although I am sure they will both race better next GP. Gollob was also a surprise to me, brilliant job to be on the podium so fair play. Hancock didnt seem his normal self which was a shame and also good to see Zagar & Lindback going well. Much better gp than I expected, only wish I had been there. Roll on Wroclaw when I will be there in person -
Hi everyone, Is there anymore news on the GP Qualifiers for this season? Seems very quiet on the news front! Just wondered if anybody is going as should be a cracking final with whats at stake?? If anybody is going, any advice on which airlines would be best and nearest airport - would be brilliant. Cheers

Polish Fixtures 2006
gooner_girl4eva replied to Mr Snackette's topic in International World of Speedway
Thanks Rico Shame Rzeszow is so far away- looks like we won't be considering that after all - might consider Czestochowa yet even though thats a bit of a trip and the match you have mentioned sounds good, would like to know who races for both of those teams! I'm sure the Zielona Gora fans can't be much more badly behaved than last time The Thursday matches before the Gp looks good as Leszno are at home, would the English riders race in that or would they have to see out their contracts to their English clubs? Hoping Ryanair pull their finger out and sort the Stansted to Wroclaw flight soon -

I am planning on going to the Wroclaw GP and then a match on the Sunday - which is the most local league match to wroclaw? I would be most interested in going to see Rzeszow - is that local or easy to get too? Many thanks -
Travelodge Gp
gooner_girl4eva replied to sjw ministerofport's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I have just had a quick look at the travel lodge website for Cardiff and it let me enter the dates for the gp but it said it was fully booked. So is it really fully booked or do I need to try again tomorrow?! Hoping it cant be fully booked if it doesnt let you book until tomorrow -
So which hotels are best to stay at, I've had a look at the link to the website showing the complex but a bit unsure of which hotel is best for the location or price? Any advice from anyone who has stayed there before? I think we will have to wait until December before Ryanair update their flight schedule for next year as thats what it says for the Wroclaw flights...imagine Easyjet will be the same. Flights to Zagreb don't appear to be available with the English airlines which is a shame so maybe a flight to Ljubljana will be the best and cheapest bet?

No my bet of 25/1 on Hans was definitely for the GP win. After his performance in the GP though maybe my bookie was cleverer than I thought -

I go to Coral to place my bets. I got odds on Hans at 25/1 to win...majorly impressed with that Mind you I don't think most Corals are operating those sort of odds, the guy who works in there seems to come up with his own interpretation of what the odds should be - can't go wrong with that -

Do we know what times the trains are after the meeting as I don't plan on rushing off after the meeting? Also, weather isn't looking great on a few forecasts I've seen for Wroclaw, hope the speedway in Leszno goes ahead! -

I'd have thought the odds will be stacked in favour of Team GB being drawn/seeded to the Swindon meeting and Sweden to the Eskilstuna meeting. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes that makes sense Kevin, least both meetings that way which attract extra fans -

I think £22 is a wrip off. It was expensive last year at Poole but I prefer their stadium to Swindon and also as Poole held the race-off and the final at least you could save money if you purchased both tickets. I don't think Swindon will get a very good crowd for that meeting with that price and with it being televised - we don't even know yet if Team GB will be racing in that meeting do we?? -

Yeh I will be at this match too, cant wait - not long to go now -
Well I hope to go Thurs to Sun or at least Friday to Sun as I won't be allowed anymore time off than that from work. If you go with Ryan-air to Verona then, what the best plan - get a hotel in Verona? As Vincenza doesn't appear to be a very big place as while I'm there I would like to go to either Venice or somewhere with a beach Just wondered what others might be doing for accommodation and your plans for whilst you're there (bar the speedway obviously!)

On the official speedwaygp site, it now says it HAS been confirmed! I really want to go to this one

I booked my tickets on Friday night, going to be sitting in the back straight, hopefully near Turn 2! I haven't received any notification either about the flight changes which is odd considering they have about 3 of my numbers, postal addy and e-mail - oh well! At least we all know so we will be there in plenty of time

I looked at the figures for the prize winners and am I correct in thinking the winner of the GP gets paid around £5,800? I know the figures were in dollars but if you check the currency, that is roughly what it works out. Its pittence compared to other sports, I always thought they earned more than that for a GP win.
