  1. I paid my first visit to both between Christmas and New Year. I had a nice long chat with Bert Harkins at the museum, my wife and son weren't impressed by the amount of time I was taking so I was hurried along so that we could visit the rest of the park! All in all it's a most enjoyable day out (I got some great pictures of the lions as well)

  3. Thanks for that, I was home late this evening so was watching my recording which just happened to finish as the riders were approaching the tapes for heat 15. I always allow a bit of extra time for the recording but this one went on a bit longer than anticipated, all the best to Kurtz and Holder of course. Let's see whether next week can match this for drama!
  4. London Hamburg Paris Rome Rio Hong Kong Tokyo LA New York Amsterdam Monte Carlo Shard End and ..........
  5. From the 2018 regulations 15.8.1 If the Referee stops a heat, following an incident or accident, where the rider causing the stoppage and his team partner were in third and fourth place and a re-run is called with one of those riders excluded, the Referee has the sole discretion to order that the remaining team partner will start on a 15 metre handicap in gate position c or d (the opposing team does not change positions).
  6. No they didn't. Hackney stopped riding at The Wick in 1990 and the refurbished stadium hosted the London Lions for a season. Speedway history[edit] Hackney Wick Wolves speedway team raced there before World War II . The Hackney Hawks speedway team rode at the venue from 1963 to 1983. Hackney Kestrels speedway team rode here from 1984 until 1990. In 1996, a speedway team under the name of London Lions rode but it was found to be financially unviable. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hackney_Wick_Stadium

  8. And do you know whether the certificate started on the date he got it? I certainly don't.
  9. Just a thought having re-watched the Denmark Slovenia race. Zagar outgated MJJ from gate 2 and sped off into the distance leaving Skorja to fend for himself but he was unable to make any inroads into the Danish pair. Maybe I'm being a bit unreasonable here but why couldn't Zagar, having outgated MJJ, have slowed MJJ on the first bend and allowed both Bjerre and Skorja to go outside him? This would have given Skorja a chance to choose his line with Zagar defending against MJJ. Even if MJJ passed either Zagar or Skorja the result would have been no different to how it finished but at least MJJ would have had to fight to get through. (Edited for punctuation)
  10. Yes, you're both right. Having just read back the Somerset Swindon thread he is the only one slating Bellego. As you say Grachan, and I guess it applies to all 7 point heatleaders, they'll have some cracking meetings and some rubbish ones. That's why they're averaging seven.
  11. I don't have a team to follow but it seems odd to me that some Swindon fans are on Bellego's back. According to the SCB averages both Bellego and Musielak started on 7.37 and they are now, per update 9 on 14th May, on 7.46 and 7.42 respectively. Am I missing something obvious?
  12. Let's have another go this year, and thanks for running this again R&R Cook £20 more KK £20 more
  13. Looking at the updates it also took 5 attempts to run heat 9. I wasn't there so can't comment on how long that one took in total but it obviously added to the time taken.
