That's correct, he turned down offers from two other clubs before being told he wasn't in the Kent team.

Nathan Hargrave is signing number 6.

I won't quote the full @old bob at herne bay post but yesterday's meeting was a really enjoyable afternoon. A mixture of laydown and upright racing all contributing to the overall scores of the four team tournament, followed by the Vic Harding Memorial Trophy. A decent crowd were treated to some fabulous racing at Iwade, on a lovely sunny afternoon. -

Scunthorpe 2024

I saw Luke ride twice last season at Kent. The first was before his injury when he was guesting for Mildenhall and the second after his injury when riding for the Comets. He rode very well in both, and scored 8 from 5 for Mildenhall, which included an exclusion after a coming together with Ben Morley as they crossed the finish line, he also beat Morley for third place in heat 15, that gave Mildenhall a 2 point win. He scored 7 from 5 in the Workington match, he had two lasts. One in heat 15 and the other in his first race where he fell and remounted. He's definitely got a bright future ahead of him. -

Have you got a link at all for this Goodwood case please? -
I only got back into live speedway when Kent moved to Iwade in 2022, prior to that I couldn't get to Sittingbourne due to the early start time. I am now faced with a shortest distance of 82 miles to get to the nearest track to me, Ipswich. I'm sure the M25 and A12 are lovely on a Monday/Thursday evening rush hour. So having been able to go to live speedway after quite a long break I find myself without any to watch in person. I do subscribe to BSN, and will do so again, but I'm sure that there are plenty of other people who find themselves in the same boat as me. Apologies to Mildenhall fans for hijacking your topic.

Your comment makes no sense. The reason you're not a Premier League footballer is because you don't have the skills to be one, no offence. The situation here is that professional riders who have exceeded the standard required are being prohibited from riding, and being paid for doing so. Whether riders at this level should be professional or not is a discussion for another time. It remains to be seen how this will pan out.

Will there be enough riders of sufficient quality to fill the 6 teams? An older more experienced pair of hands who has achieved an average of 4 or over in the championship would be beneficial to the less experienced riders, would they not? Sings has already identified 10 riders from this years teams who are no longer allowed to ride. I'm no legal expert but could prohibiting any rider who has achieved a 4 point championship average be a restraint of trade? As always, there are more questions than answers.

It's only an extra 4 miles each way for you, based on your location, to go to Iwade compared to going to Arlington. The Royals need all the support they can get, and they run on a Sunday lunchtime. -
I'd agree with that. In his first exclusion he fell trying to go around Nathan Ablitt and in the second one he lined up Tom Woolley, in much the same way that Connor Bailey did to Dan Thompson on the under 21 final, but on this occasion he appeared to catch Tom's leg on his way through causing Tom to fall. He was always on the pace other than heat 13 where he was outgated and couldn't get past Ben Morley despite trying for all four laps.

There's a 35 page thread in the Speedway GP and Speedway World Cup Forum. Lots of discussion about Team GB's performance in there.
