  1. I have been biting my tounge on this one for a little while now, but Rod Colquhoun has signed up Adams, Sullivan, Todd & Johnno so far for this event (rumors are Crump & Jorgenson will also be there) which will include Sidecars, Sprintcars, Demo Derby and the obligatory fireworks. I don't know the format of the program but I'm sure you will be able to find out more when the latest SRN is out later on this week. I will try to make it over but seriously doubt that the funds will get me there with the Oz titles following six weeks later. :-( It's good to see Rod doing such a good job in securing these guys to ride in this event - keep up the good work Anyone in Adelaide not going to Mildura for round 3 of Oz titles this may be your last chance to see Todd ride - so tell your friends and neighbours and support this event. As Con Migro would say 'Get your backside trackside' - even if it's to see the amazing O'Brien brothers on their sidecar. 8)
  2. Bibra Lake, Western Australia. If not somewhere in Oz maybe Mildura
  3. Speedy-Star wrote: But Crump met Pedersen twice last night and beat him both times. So he went into the final round in the lead, beat his closest rival twice, was not beaten by Pedersen and still didn't get the title. Crump was unlucky that the one race he messed up was a tough sudden death semi-final. When Pedersen messed up in one race it just gave him a second chance in an eliminator. Unfortunately the format is badly flawed. The best way to decide the true champion would be a series of 16-rider 20-heat championship format meetings. Sums it up really.
  4. We can only wish it is Sydney. I can't imagine it being back at the Olympic Stadium as good as it was. Maybe there holding off till J.C. becomes World Champ.
  5. I will be coming over next year for about 4-5 weeks. Cardiff & Copenhagen for sure ;-) My question is Sweden or Slovenia - which one would you pick? I know Sweden is expensive but don't know to much about Slovenia.
  6. Is not Leigh Adams still a chance - may be a bit slim i know but as we know anything can happen. How a bout an Aussie one,two ;-)
  7. Joondalup i'm just down the road in Edgewater. I know what you mean about the coverage we get on Fox it doesn't quite have the same build up We might have to catch up for a brewski at the Old Bailey or even the Woodvale when Johnno gets back. ;-) You have got me thinking now. :?
  8. Timbo, in a couple of weeks Bydgoczsz G.P. should on Fox, i can tape it for you as i have every other G.P. shown this year on Fox. Its not Skys coverage its the one that comes from Benfield i think. Fox normally run the G.P.s about a fortnight to 3 weeks later so if you can hold on till then your welcome. Where abouts in Perth are you?
  9. I'm biased and would love to see Jason win. If he does become world champ i think you will see a much more relaxed J.C. next year.
  10. I'm pretty sure we can't have a bet, however i'm probably wrong I'll have a look on their website and let ya know - could be costing me bucks
  11. I predicted 1st , 2nd again and would of loved to have a punt alas no service for that over here. Anyway the amount of dough i done on the nags yesterday it was probably a good thing i couldn't back Crumpy
  12. erm...... Grafton? Do you Know something I don't - good fishing perhaps
  13. Did I say that - tut tut By the way ML i've just been sent Peter Carrs - Motorshow 2 tape from Brian Collins - do you see him at Armadale?
  14. It's confirmed - Gold Coast 10th Jan Gosford 17th, Mildura 24th Jan Spoke to the chairman of Speedway and Track Racing Commission today and everything is go. Riders confirmed at this stage (that i know of) are Johnno, Leigh, Rory Schlein. (I'm sure there must be more - anyone?) It looks like Todd will bring a close to his career at Mildura. Ryhno will prob decide at a later date as he is going in for a coupla nip and tucks over the off season. J.C. will decide after the G.P.s no doubt - lets hope he is (or Leigh) World Champ so they can really promote the bollocks off it and get a big turnout. Lunchy i'm doing Gosford & Mildura for sure, flying to Sydney with a mate, hiring a car and after Gosford driving down to Mildura (shouldn't take to long, as my map shows it all downhill ) after that drop the car off at Adelaide and fly back to Perth, actual dates are not known as yet. Anyone know any good and resonably cheap places to stay along the way? prefferably with a good bar, shower and a nice bit of trout ;-) Anyway guys spread the word and lets get bums on seats - the riders deserve it, the promoters especially deserve it and lets show our S&TR commission that they are taking a step in the right direction. I for one cannot wait
  15. Considering i went one-two in my predictions for Prague i'll have another dip. 1st Tomasz Gollob 8) 2nd J.C. 3rd Ryan Sullivan 4th Scotty Nicholls One to watch: Toddy Boy - reckon he will want to prove something to the clowns who run Bydgoszcz speedway, taking bribes is not the Aussies way. Go Toddy stick it up em! ;-)
  16. What a joke. I hope Toddy boy has a blinder at the Bydgoszcz G.P. and sticks it up the ruling peanuts at Polonia
  17. Me, Leeroy, Johnnos ol man an Chuck Redmond couldn't wait to give the little fella the bumps. Don't wanna comment to much at the mo tho. Sorry we only went to the pits at start of the meeting an during interval - well we couldn't very well drink booze in there.
  18. Have a gander at W.A. Solo Championship thread i am sure it will be posted by Stats soon. I am holding off till its official (which i'm sure it is ) what a debacle - spoilt a great day. Where was ya :?:
  19. My predictions for what they are worth. 1st Jason Crump - He's in white hot form 2nd Tony Rickarsson - Can't keep a good man down 3rd Leigh Adams - He has a taste of being No.1 4th Scott Nicholls - Improving all the time Dark Horse - Tomasz Gollob - Looks to be finally getting it together.
