  1. The new speedway track at Wanneroo will be opening this Sunday. Johno will be doing a few laps from 2.00pm onwards. A plethora of past champions have been invited including Chum Taylor, Mick 'The Master' McKeon and Glen Doyle to name a few. Rob Woffinden, Davey Cheshire and Greg Bartlett will definatley be there. However the big news is that a former world champ will also be there. Any guesses? The track is next to the junior motocross track on Pederick St. see you there Timbo & Speedwaychick.
  2. G,day Jasper, nice to have met with you also. Johno's still here for a couple of weeks yet, going to the gym everyday and riding his motocross bike every second day so he is keeping himself in top shape. I hoped you enjoyed your stay in Oz, it must be my turn to come visiting.
  3. Sure did Lissa, it was o.k. coverage with a lot of the good races missing, some good interviews though. I'm looking foward to this weeks coverage and the B final where Johno comes from last to first, sorry to let the cat out of the bag but i think he made more passes in that race than there was the whole night. Maybe i'm biased. Btw Lissa i live in Peth so it may be a bit of a hassle sending you the tape as i am going to tape the other 3 rounds on the same tape.
  4. Try www.mike-patrick.com Did you get any of where they lined up or at the Podium Lissa?
  5. Thanks Lissa, good shots indeed - look out Mike Patrick Anymore people.
  6. Does anyone know where i can view some photo's of the Australian Titles. Thanks in advance Ozy
  7. Cheers Bryn you still in Oz? had good night in Adelaide (last Monday). We went to the crazy Horse with S. Parker and got Marty to drop us back to our hotel. Then spent the day at Glenelg Beach and bumped into Ryan of all people, so had a couple of quiet ones with him - all in all it was a great trip but alas work is going nutz and i'm looking forward to having a couple of tomato juice's with mr fitness after work.
  8. Call me bias but i can see an Australian quinella happening with Leigh coming 1st and Jason 2nd. Ryan will also be up for it after a dissapointing season last year, but with things on the home front looking better he may well be a dark horse. Leigh will only benefit by having Karl Bloomfelt working on his bikes this season. It will be interesting to see how many people they get at Lonigo if it comes down to the wire.
  9. I'll see you at Gosford Bryn, Lunchy, Poona and who ever else will be going to the 1st round of the Aust. titles. Flying to Adelaide on Boxing Day with Johno then up to Mildura to hook up with Leigh and on to Gosford for the 29th. I'll see your backsie trackside guys, can't wait.
  10. Moose should retain his title, not a bad line up though.
  11. Hey Bryn was this the meeting Legend flattracker Jay Springsteen was at, if so how did he go? Also i can confirm that indeed Johno is in Canberra spending some time at the Institute of Sport. I don't know who else was invited though apart from Jase Lyons. A lot of Australia's success in sport has been contributed to the AIS, although i very much doubt it if you will see up in lights "Johno wins British Open at St. Andrews by 4 shots" Four shots of Tequilla maybe See ya soon mate
  12. Have a good time in Wogga Bryn. The amount of riders is impressive, good to see.
  13. I'm looking forward to catcjing up with you again Bryn. Johno's dads not coming this year so i'm mechanic and crowd controller.
  14. Great news, any chance of Saddlebags doing the Aust. titles?
  15. Leigh is definatley riding Lunchy, so is Johno so i guess i'll see you in Gosford. I might add that the non appearance of Jason is dissapointing, the first Aussie world champ in over fifty years certainly would have got some backside trackside.
  16. I'm pretty sure it's been canned, i don't think the trottinng boys agreed to terms.
  17. ooh yeah Barty was an excellent motocross rider, he won a number of state titles here in W.A. Lee Redmond was also pretty good aswell as Johno in there younger days. I might mention that Jeff Leisk who raced MX in the U.S. and finished second in the 1989 500cc world title, races Sprintcars and is one of the best going around in the things with wings here in Oz. He is head honcho at KTM Aust. and being good mates with Johno is why Johno has got the KTM sponsership, you may have noticed him wearing the Orange n Black kevlars when he is not riding for Swindon in the E.L. matches.
  18. Congratulations to Jason - long overdue for an Aussie to become World Champion again. Lets hope he comes home for summer and races the Oz titles. btw i think you will find Jasons fav. sportsperson is Steve Waugh not Marcus Trescothick.
  19. Yeah thanks for doing that Ft. Looking at those stats the only one to make the semi's in all rounds was Leigh, however he only made the final or A main as he likes to call it in 3 of the rounds.
  20. Timbo, the new track is located right next to the Junior Moto x track at the back of Wanneroo, just past the golf course on Pinjar Rd, i think its called Pederik st or somthing like that. If you are still in Joondalup it will take you about 7 to 8 minutes tops. Things are really moving along nicely now with the posts for the fence put up by Wuffy, Davey Chesh and a few others on the weekend. Mate i work out in Carabooda and will go the back way home tonight and let you know tommorow what she's looking like or better still if you can meet me there at about 3.20pm or in 45mins if you want. I hope you see this post in time.
  21. You bewdy! They did it last year and i was wondering if they were gonna do it this year. How did you find out Timbo?
