Agree totally Screm,you could say that they took the weekend to achieve the status quo. We should be glad of the forward think that is put forward on here cause thats as far as it will get no wonder the fans walk away. First signing should be Kozza if fit and available cause at least he knows how to promote speedway to the fans the youngsters luv him(and a few of the oldies)

Well i think we need to find out if we are running first, then we need to build a team that will entertain at home, then we need to create a buzz but first things first.

Where are your figures from 2005, but I think you have to bear in mind that that team was put together with a fair portion of riders with no where else to go and for whatever reason that season they clicked but I suspect they were riding for buttons in comparison to today. Low overheads = profit.

Think you are reading that all wrong the diehard fans just want top watch speedway but at Berwick that would appear to be about the 500 mark which with all the best intentions is not break even point for the club. The extra 2-300 that takes it to the viable level(and this is only my opinion)only want to watch a winning team and you cannot change that mentallity over night you either give them the package they want or they don't come. I think we have to face facts that three to four weeks ago on the back of an ever mounting injury list our season was over. As a team we commited a cardinal sin at the start of the season in the pure design of the team, history tells us that over the last six seasons the team that wins or goes close to winning the league has a strong reserve pairing even more important now with rolling averages and a out and out number one. We ended up by default with a out and out number one in Ricky but the rest of the team has no balance. At this point I will put my tin hat on because like it or not the team this year was built around Lee Complin who no one can argue is Mr Entertainment around Berwick but a average second string away from home. Agree with Emilali keep Ricky if he's happy to stay, aim to get Bellago at reserve and Robin as a second string then fill in the spaces. Try a couple onf five pointer and see what we get before the season ends. If Ricky out for the rest of the season believe Olly Allen looking for a Premier club and says he would love to ride for Berwick know he's on a 9.5avg but what the h*ll the season over in five weeks.
