  1. I think what was clear last night was that the impact a genuine number 1 can have on a team. Although his points contribution may not have been huge it was his ability to create time and space for his team mates was very evident. Twice shutting the door on opponents when they were about to make a run and shielding his more inexperienced team mate from opposing pressure. If Eddie hangs around which according to his post match interview he is happy to do I think we are now going to have some quality racing to watch. With Eddie it won't all be about gate and go as he has the time to look around and change each heat in our favour not that he is not capable of demolishing opposing riders if that is what is required. All in all one meeting in things look much more positive. Let not forget Paul Starke either good debut once dialled in can only get better. Track also looking better and passing makes a comeback at Berwick.😉
  2. We are back to that Lee Complin situation if Ricky is not fit then changes need to be made until he is. However Alex still not on it in every 50/50 he gives first we have got to get it sorted or season will be over by end of May this year. Then again we can always have a fancy dess party every Saturday night
  3. In reality it is matterless whether its about suits or bonus points the fact is that the fans could see that was not Alex riding and after his two crashes I wouldn't be watching far less sitting on a bike but as we all know if that is how he feels then he is either going to do himself further damage or someone else neither of which is acceptable and needs to be remedied before to long. Another worry is Ricky who may need some time to get back to himself do we make changes now or wait is the question? Fisher , Tressariu, Wolbert, North Sky awaits you.
  4. From what is being said it would appear that the buying of the race suits would seem to also mean that he has an inordinate amount to say about other things also, resulting in let us say a little dis-harmony amongst the team.
  5. The plan fact of the matter is it would appear that after three meetings we may have made a boo boo by not signing Micky Dyer instead of Edberg but that's what we have got. We also know Edberg can at least round Berwick score points. So Ian Rae step up to the mark get your Paulo Di Canio hat on and kick some ass remind them who pays there wages and what makes the fans turn up and if that don't work then kick them some more.
  6. Don't think it has anything to do with silencers the track is inconstant infact you could say it is still being set up for Lee Complin as he would have filled his boots last night, head down wind it on head for the boards but there are few riders with Lee's ball's. Motorway on the inside line and deep( to deep in places) on the outside. We have a team of racers not gater's and I have said right from the start we will perform better away from home than at home. Change the track speak to the riders ask them how they want it home track advantage? What's the problem with that it wins you the league ask Matty!
  7. Is it not more about the inconsistencies of certain parts of the track? The exit to bend two and four when on a number of occasions our riders set up the manoeuvre but could not complete because the track was too deep at those points. Secondly if it is all about the track then when we head of to these so called racer tracks then our rider will show their potential or not at which point track prep will become the major issue!
  8. Pretty much a certainty been dry and sunny in Berwick today few light hail showers but nothing to bother the track. Close match as usual I think.
  9. All good i would say no doubt there will be grumbles about price increase from original but makes season ticket a better deal. Maybe Dick is being moved towards the door ever so gently mind
  10. Hard to say Dick didn't compare at the Bandits team announcment night so maybe with a bit of luck he is taking the hint. I am sure he is a mine of speedway knowledge but the way he delivers it is out of the Ark, there's a need for a fresh approach this year.
  11. I really cringe sometimes when the promotion put out some of there press releases. Are they so naive that they think that someone is going to rush forward and sponsor them if they threaten not to run, think that may well back fire. Don't know who is overseeing the press releases but there level of business understanding is limited to say the least. You will always find people who want to jump on a roller coaster as long as the driver is not a doom and gloom merchant. Come on Berwick you have put together a quality 1-7 promote them as that.
  12. Believe he has bought Complin's engines and has two newish frames.
  13. Come on Eddie there are no secrets in the speedway world only people who would like there to be. At the end of the day we have as always on paper a team which could do very well and listening to Matty Wethers speak last night we have a rider who I hope will go on to show he has a point to prove as did Ricky last year and if Kozza is in the same frame of mind then it may well be that they will produce what is required to get the numbers through the gate. At the end of the day there are fans then there are the fans that want to be associated with winners but they all pay their entance fee.
  14. 3.09 pts to spare guess its bottom three again this season
  15. Suspect from what you say that you may not be a connoisseur of the finer aspect of the sport its not all about gate and go. There are some of us who appreciate the rider who can vary his riding style and adapt to the condition to achieve the optimum end result. Lets just say if Mr Aspegren was offered to Somerset it woulden't take them long to make up their minds. And just for the record his home avg was 6.88 which for a rider signed on a 5.68avg aint bad all i will say is if Robin is a Bandit watch him go this season.
  16. Well to me thats the kind of rider the Bandits should be signing cause we have had to many home birds over the years.
  17. you got it plus as a bonus you get his mentor Dick Barrie
  18. So its no Albin then, suspect his mentor Dick Barrie will be a little pi**ed might be no Dick either, its a win, win situation.
  19. Barrett a must on that average and becomes an asset, Ricky deserves his place on last years performance as does Bellago and Aspegren both will improve in my mind if Kozza gets 10% reduction for missing a year then that would leave 11.87 for the last two. New asset on 7.00 or a proven points scorer or strenght in depth? Not long to wait now. Could it all be very exciting or just a damp squib.
