Panthers vs Lions - Thursday 7th September
TheSmiler replied to LagutaRacingFan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think Leicester will just about keep hold of the point now, but they’re going to get absolutely tanked in the play offs. -
In all honesty, I don’t think we will see these top riders here next year so I can see why they’re doing it. Bewley, Kurtz, Tai, Holder, Musielak and either Fricke or Emil/Doyle in the play offs is a good line up of top riders. I’d fancy Belle Vue if it does happen though.

Ellis and Pickering out? Holder and reserve in? Would that fit?

Leicester vs Wolves 17/8/23
TheSmiler replied to Lenny Lion's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You get the impression making these changes and losing Chris Harris is going to be a costly mistake for Leicester. I can actually see them missing out on the Play Offs now and Ipswich snatching 4th. -
Ged Rathbone offered to buy back Panthers. Buster or Carl Johnson has completely lied. Ged has offered to buy the club multiple times and the text conversations are still there according to Lisa. So either Buster has lied saying there was no offers or Johnson has lied after telling Ged that Buster “would rather close the club than sell back to Ged”. The question is who?

Very jealous of Sheffield fans. What a fantastic signing and a delight to see Tai back in Britain.

Troy Batchelor has severely weakened Leicester.

Appalling line up and it will result in an even poorer GP wild card. Not good. Disappointing Robert Lambert couldn’t pop over to give Bewley a challenge. On current form I’d say we are going to end up with Tom Brennan, Richard Lawson or Charles Wright at Cardiff. -
Embarrassing again.

Such a shame. So close. Easy to target Brennan and Ellis but Woffinden let us down -

This is now wide open. -
This will be the last year of the “Premiership” at least as we know it. Id advise everyone to make the most of seeing the following riders the next few weeks as it will likely be their last appearances in British League: Dan Bewley Brady Kurtz Jaimon Lidsey Emil Sayfutdinov Jason Doyle Max Fricke Artem Laguta Vadim Tarasenko Jack Holder Tobiasz Musielak I would be very surprised to see anything other than Championship standard teams. Older riders on their way down, British riders and upcoming youngsters seem to be the way forward. Perhaps a north and south divide with a play-off system between both.

FFS. Here I was thinking Leicester was one of the few stable clubs left. The sport really is f’ed, I give it two years. -

Yeah Ellis needs to lose his spot on Saturday. Harris needs to come in, might not be the rider he once was but when the chips are down I’d prefer to see him. -
