  1. Not sure why everyone is praising Woryna when he only actually beat Kyle Newman and Brady Kurtz. I wouldn't get too excited about him but at least he's scoring points and hopefully he will come on stronger as the season goes on. Kasprzak - absolutely flawless up until Heat 15. Really great to see him looking so good on the bike, I hope this season he gets back to 2014 form. Garrity - didn't do too badly and deserved more than 3 points. really don't get the exclusion in heat 5? Worst I've ever seen. I don't think he will score many points in the main body particularly away from home though. King - absolutely dreadful. He is not a heatleader and never will be. Unfortunately he will stay at that position all season. Yes, he's better than tonight's showing but he is still not good enough for the number 3 jacket in this format. This decision, along with not persuading Garrity to start at reserve, will be why the Bees don't succeed very far. Woryna - as I said at the start of my post Harris - just like Kasprzak. Pulled some amazing passes, and I wish him all the best for Sunday. I wish I could be there but I can't unfortunately. Sarjeant - meh. Bates - Decent night and is already a fan favourite. He will come on leaps and bounds this year. For the Pirates: with Holder they'd have topped 50+ tonight. He would have scored more than the 3 that R/R managed. Hans Andersen continued to p*ss off the fans and got what he deserved when Bates gave him a good slap. He's really not liked at Coventry is he? Kurtz looked decent as did Ellis. I really have a feeling Poole will go through the season unbeaten, barring injuries. The team is phenomenal. Say what you like about him but Matt Ford knows how to play the game. Probably one of my only visits to Brandon before it closes for good, but I will try and get to as many as I can. I really don't want it to end. 😞
  2. Having King as a heat leader is a big mistake. In this format, he is not a heat leader. We were lucky with the way we had Kylmo swapping places with him last season.
  3. Reserves are dreadful. Will be hard to win matches with the weakest pair in the league. Hopefully Friday will be a different story, we know how Bates can ride Brandon.
  4. with R/R, this is looking like an easy Poole win (which it would have been anyway) 57-35
  5. With completed teams, I expect the league to go along these lines: Poole Belle Vue Swindon Coventry Wolves King's Lynn Lakeside Leicester
  6. As per always we will see Poole dominating the league. As much as for the Pirates fans it's an amazing club to be supporting. It's becoming a bit boring watching them win every year and I don't think this year will see a change to that. Fair play, Matt Ford (no matter your opinion on him) knows what to do to win and I command him for that. For my own team, Coventry, I was appalled when I saw the starting line up but looking now I still don't think at all the Bees are contenders but they aren't looking the worst team. If Woryna can surprise a few and Bates can continue his improvement, it could be a solid season. A lot depends on Krzysztof Kasprzak, Jason Garrity and James Sarjeant aswell to adapt to their positions. I also think a lot are discounting Wolves. Their team really isn't bad at all. I think Freddie will be back to his best this year and the rest of the team is very strong especially with Kyle Howarth down at reserve who we could see swapping positions with either Sam Masters or Jacob Thorssell. 1. Poole 2. Belle Vue 3. Swindon 4. Wolverhampton 5. Coventry 6. Lakeside 7. King's Lynn 8. Leicester (by a LONG stretch)
  7. 1. Poole 2. Swindon 7. Wolves/Lakeside/Leicester 8. Coventry
  8. It's amazing how we can go from looking like one of the best to currently looking the worst out of the completed teams. And yes I put Wolves above us. This is how they're going to go, without a bang but more of a whimper, such a shame.
  9. I can't see the doom and gloom here personally. Yes the heat leaders are weak, but Lindgren has proved time and time again he can be an out and out number 1. One bad season doesn't suddenly make a rider dreadful. I agree, he's on the slide but not as drastic as last season implied. Bech and Kylmakorpi are marmite riders, so I'm unsure on how to comment. Bech came onto the scene as an exciting prospect but never really delivered and I don't think Kylmakorpi can improve any more, so to have those as back up is weak. The second strings will be fine which leads me on to Kyle Howarth (who was dreadful for the Bees last season end), who should benefit massively from his 4 meetings at reserve. So Wolves will probably have one of Thorssell and Masters swapping with Howarth all season. I'd love to say the Bees have something like that but unfortunately our reserves will be hammered every match. I personally would put Wolves above Coventry but both will probably be around the bottom two fighting with each other. Can't see Coventry doing much with 4 reserves and a weak 3rd heat leader.
  10. So this is how they're planning to bow out? Not with a bang, but with a whimper, Harris and KK aside that team has bottom written all over it. Bottom 3 finish for sure,
  11. Really hope we can get a decent 1-5 to make up for the reserves being less stronger than other teams. Harris, Larsen and Garrity are the riders I'd be aiming for. Lord knows for the two others. Kylmakorpi and maybe King? Although will that fit?
  12. Harris, Kylmakorpi, King, Garrity plus another for the rest of the team? Doesn't look amazing
  13. Ouch. Basement battle looming already
  14. I think it's possible, would be good to have him swap with Garrity all season for reserve.
  15. I can see us going with exactly the same team with Barker swapped for Hans unfortunately. Would be nice to get a decent heatleader to partner Harris and Kylmo, but I can't see who would come over. Larsen would be my ideal choice.
  16. Wow did you really just pull the gay card? Are we still in 1846?
  17. Yes, incredibly. Long day. Thanks for stating the obvious. 👍🏼
  18. Well this has been delightful. 100% done with the so called Elite League. What's the point in running a league when you just have Poole Pirates? Love you Poole, absolutely love you. Love your constant cheating, your constant lies and your constant P taking of paying customers. This sport has hit rock bottom and I have seriously drifted away in the past two years.
  19. Why are you dragging up an article from 23 June 2011? And quite how you find that so hilarious is beyond me, if anything it just shows how Transexuality is still very much frowned upon. People should be allowed to be who they are. And anyway back to the topic, unfortunately I'm sticking with the Bees fan pessimism and going for 41-49. Although if everyone fires up the score could easily be the other way around.
  20. I used to actually quite like Poole before the inevitable, but my second team would have to be Belle Vue
  21. Swindon can't handle the pressure. Two years in a row they've choked in the semis. Bliss! AJ is fantastic, really hope he's at Coventry next season.
  22. Did Pearson completely forget the Bees being unbeaten at Belle Vue for the last two seasons? Absolutely useless.
  23. Aces can go all the way now, looks like their team spirit is huge. How long til Rossiter spits his dummy out again?
