  1. This is why I referred to “smaller squads”… I am wondering if British Speedway should use the Danish format moving forward. Something has to give.
  2. Having watched last night’s TNT meeting from Oxford and once again noticing barely any attendance… this surely cannot be viable for anyone involved. It’s clear that the big boys being over here hasn’t improved anything and we are losing yet more tracks year after year. It’s time to talk about the future of speedway in the UK and how it can survive. Is it time for one league, smaller squads and the removal of the big names? Let’s open the discussion.
  3. I’d be surprised if Birmingham get through the last two months of the season at this point. There will be around 75 die hard oldies at PB on Monday and that’s being generous. Wouldn’t blame Nigel at all if he threw the towel in. Have to feel for him, as bad as he is - he has poured his heart and soul into the club and had no success.
  4. Barker would come in at reserve which would in turn push Jeppesen back into the top 5 and Keynan Rew would be third heat leader… I can’t say I blame the Birmingham promotion. Nobody is going to want to come over for 2 months to a team that won’t exist by September. Tolley has put so much money into the club, what is the point losing much more for a few weeks. 1. Tobiasz Musielak 2. Paco Castagna 3. Keynan Rew 4. Jonas Jeppesen 5. Matej Zagar 6. Ben Barker 7. Sam Hagon (RS) It certainly does look ominous, and I wonder if Nick Morris may well join the team in place of Castagna/Rew for the last few weeks to get himself back on the bike.
  5. You may be thinking of the wrong Ben, but you’re not far off.
  6. Fricke beat Kurtz but Kurtz beat Zmarzlik and Zmarzlik beat Fricke so who qualifies for the final???
  7. This is why Zmarzlik is so good. No matter what he still works hard and gets the points even when it’s proving more difficult for him. We really are missing someone who can truly challenge him. Title no.6 is on the way.
  8. Has Tatum just leaked Leicester’s new rider? Who is Riderrous Placemennt? Anyone heard of him?
  9. I wouldn’t be surprised if Boughen is sacked by both clubs within this week. The lad needs to either take a break to sort his head out or drop down and focus on NDL.
  10. What a great interview that was with Zagar. He came across so well then. Likeable guy. Just a shame he only shows up when he’s in the mood.
  11. Keep Phil Morris and co well away from the track at Belle Vue please.
  12. This new format sucks. Top 10 and you can still win. Feel like it favours Bartosz even more. Still not a fan of the points either. There was no need to change it from what it was. What you score should be what you earn on the leaderboard.
  13. Contender for worst GP in history? Kurtz suffering from the gate draw.
