  1. Bit extreme! Didn't ask for it to be banned.
  2. Bl**dy hell mate. Not a good time for you. I'm sure both will survive.
  3. It's a perfectly reasonable request, made for the right reasons. Is this being over-looked? In my opinion the over-reaction is not with those who've made the request initially.
  4. Neither do I, but if you look at similar titles they lead to one thing.
  5. if you don't understand now, one day you unfortunately might.
  6. Spot on. Within the bounds of the Forum rules there is freedom of speech. Poor day when we are not free to do that.
  7. Shark infested waters if you ask me. You're floundering now.
  8. It's not so bad, we're having a whale of a time really.
  9. Wouldn't surprise me. Feels like it. Salmon in the streets.
  10. And if all this is so, what has JDC as promoter done to push / resolve the issue? Or is he exempt?
  11. Agree with your sentiments about the sport. Speedway is in the same boat as everyone else, especially in a recession. When I hear about some of the money spent on engine tuning alone, I can't help but think someone somewhere needs to a have a reality check. And if lower crowds forces the issue then all well and good. Speedway can't keep playing on the heart strings of supporters and producing the begging bowl continually. Sponsors too deserve a fairer crack of the whip, as the majority in my opinion get a poor return on their investment and could easily get more elsewhere. It's not for the supporters to bail speedway out, it's for the promoters and riders to put on a show that's value for money.
  12. Bad news indeed, but who can blame him after 29 years? Embra promotion have to be commended for the 'show' they put on week in week out, but if the numbers don't come through the gate, then what else can they do? I'm sure it won't see the end of the Monarchs.
  13. Did Chris say he was lucky it was all four back because he deserved to go? Or could he have meant that referees often exclude a rider in that type of incident?
  14. I wanted Chris to win the championship. When the incident happened my immediate reaction was that Chris had to be excluded. I don't know all the rules and don't profess to. Having just watched it again now on Sky, Nicki definitely cut across Chris and leaves him no room. Am I right in thinking the rider in front is allowed to choose his race line, provided he's not turning left on an opponent? Chris, I assume, has to keep the throttle on to control the bike. He could of course have come off in the hope he gets NP excluded, but doesn't. Chris then hits Nicki. If NP did cut across CH 'illegally', then that's the first incident and the one that should be judged. If illegal NP should have been excluded. If not, then CH should have been excluded for bringing NP down.
