  1. There's good hearted banter by both sets of the speedway Old Firm on BSF and I hope it continues. It's just a bit of fun and gets my out of the housework when Mrs M tells me to shake a leg! There's a lot of mickey taking on both sides and certainly in the last year or so it's got better (and a better atmosphere) with the likes of Mr B (constantly on the wind up) and a few other new Moanarchs too. Sometimes we all read something that flicks our switch, but in general its good hearted. FFS don't make this a Berwick thread, there's some numpties on there that would argue over their team doing a league and Cup double!
  2. Original post refers to the predictions on BSF, so you missed your target by miles with that irrelevant response.
  3. So refreshing this year to see so many 'new' faces coming through.
  4. Kildemand just qualified for the semis. What a flop!
  5. I'll make a prediction for this meeting ... Eurosport would have done it better.
  6. I would have thought the first and only priority of any medic at a meeting would be the safety and well being of those within the stadium, first and foremost. Therefore, they should not be getting involved in anything during that meeting that can affect their ability to fulfil this responsibility. Similar to being in a business meeting, phones are switched off so that people are fully focussed on the matters in hand. (Even golf courses ban phones in case you get hit by a stray shot!) I don't know the full facts, but if he/she was accepting calls of a personal nature they would not have been fully focussed on the matters in hand. If, and I say "if", they had issues before the meeting which they knew beforehand could affect their ability to fulfil their role, then they should have declined the offer to attend in favour of someone else who could do the job to the required standards. What if a life or death situation happened on the track or on the terraces where a few seconds/minutes could be the difference between life and death and he/she was on their phone? If the unfortunate happened due to this, what type of conversation would we be having on this forum now?
  7. Dunno about banning riders for being dangerous, how about banning them for taking the pi$$? Step up to the mark ... Kevin Wolbert!
  8. All that methanol just sitting there saying " drink me, drink me".
  9. Neil Middleditch has just tweeted. ... ""It's what most doctors do these days isn't it? He wasn't racing or putting anyone else's life at risk on the track."
  10. Someone is going to wake up tomorrow with a very sore head, turn to his missus and say .., "Did I do anything stupid last night?"
  11. You couldn't make it up. Carry on Doctor. Paralytic
  12. How things change. An hour ago I decided enough's enough, I'm not going tomorrow. Now? I want to go to see if the track doctor is p!ssed.
  13. Tonight is surreal. I'm sure I'll wake up soon and find it's been a vindaloo and lager induced dream. This has to be one of the funniest things I've ever read!! What was Alan Bridgett doing there anyway?
  14. The only spirit I need right now is vodka! Nope but I'll give it a try tomorrow if my team needs me.Worst I could do is wipe out two of our competitors on the first bend. Best order a second ambulance now, don't want any meeting hold ups!
