Wouldn't disagree if it is there. But, there has been times on BSF where posters (including myself) have crossed referenced with non-BSF forums, etc and have had their knuckles rapped. With hindsight I can see why, and accept I was wrong to do so. Perhaps this was before you joined? But same applies to Al Stewart. If not posted here, it has no relevance to BSF.

Know he's a Monarch and all that, but always good to see riders progress. Just been reading the stuff re Masters and Bjerre. Putting BSPA stuff aside for a minute, if it's right Bjerre was on the deck (in whatever position) and even if Masters was too, hardly a manly thing to do ... hitting someone there! Shame on Masters if true. Chicken! Whatever happened to "stand up ya bas, and square go"? Cluck, cluck!

Just good to see the two promotions working together, hopefully the start of more to come.

From the thread title I thought the promotion were offering a whole new service to male supporters. -

Glasgow V Plymouth Sunday 10th May, 3pm
george.m replied to Pogo1's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
In the Sheffield programme notes there is an apology from the promotion for anyone who made a wasted trip to the meeting. It acknowledges there's a fine line between declaring a meeting on or off, advising this time they got it wrong. Good on them. I'm totally with you that they do act on criticism and have the confidence they will do so. Just hope when in future they call off a meeting and the weather turns out OK 5 mins after due start time, folks remember why they did so. -
I've re-read, yes I have. Apologies Arson! Cheers. Have noticed my error.

So if you were Konopka what would you have done?

This new rule about not returning to the pits when a race is stopped due to an unsatisfactory start. What happens if a rider finds he has a puncture? Can someone from the pits bring him another bike onto the track?

What a fabulous night for all involved in Glasgow speedway. Only now is my adrenaline level coming back to normal. To think we've spent the last few close seasons wondering if we're going to run and now we have a stadium and team to be proud of. Can we ever thank enough all those involved in making this happen? Speedway is now a big sport in Glasgow again ... a return to the good old days. I suspect this is only the start of something much bigger ... nothing would surprise me now. As for our team, pre-match nowadays when I look down the heats I see strength in each race. Young guys. Hungry. Never say die attitude. Loads of potential for personal growth. Great to support. To the meeting ... The new stadium entrance is superb - how long before it needs to be increased in size? The shop location is ideal - I've spent more on tat in the last 4 meetings than the all previous seasons put together - how many pens do you need? No doubt I'll buy another next meeting. The crowd - jesus, what an attendance and full of enthusiasm. The atmosphere in the crowd was awesome and shows that a Glasgow public will respond if you dish up the right package. The track - Looked superb. After attending so many meetings, only now that I've seen it on TV can I really appreciate the 3rd and 4th bend issues. And doesn't that banking look brilliant. The promotion have had much criticism over it in the past. Now we can see it was the right decision, just not executed right before this season. Two track records - the first in the rain let's not forget. The second in heat 5 by a kid! Josh G in heat 11 - awesome ride! Have watched the Bates/Konopka incident several times now. Would ask anyone who thinks Konopka was at fault what would you do in the same circumstances? You're holding your line, a rider appears from the left in your vision and you've got the fence close on your right? If you think you could have avoided it, don't waste your time on here - fulfil your potential quick, get on a bike and get into the GPs pronto! Josh Bates - Thanks for the 'afters' entertainment, what was that - air guitar or air boxing? Comedy genius! Credit to the other 13 riders for putting on a show - great racing, loads of wheelies - a good show kept the crowd happy. Special mention - Andre Compton - good to see your confidence back. Brilliant night. In a word - 'pure entertainment'!
