  1. For the average speedway fan there's more to the sport than trophies. I'd rather be watching on track action for the next few years and an empty trophy cabinet than your predicament .... An empty track and a trophy cabinet of years gone by. We're not all Glory Hunters. But hey, each to his own.
  2. Thanks for the link Cyclone. As you say it may be considered an honour. Maybe some of the Glory Hunters on here and elsewhere (not you) might see it that way and put aside personal single minded desires for success for the same reason?
  3. Serious question. Is there anything to stop the two riders from not being at the GP and riding for Edinburgh instead?
  4. Wouldn't have thought it would be a problem getting equally good guests in who'll perform to the same standard. After all Embra supporters frequently tell us what a good track they have and definitely not a trick one.
  5. Looks like we've upset the Glory Hunters from the East. Assuming Glasgow are solely to blame that is, which the Minions seemed to be doing.
  6. Here's the distributor mate ... http://firstbendav.webs.com And some examples of their output ... http://www.glasgowtigers.co/videos/
  7. From my POV it's not really a complaint directed at Rye House, just a general frustration with our sport and the speedway/weather gods.
  8. Ah! When you said last few years, I thought you meant last few years! But anyway: 2010 - Joe Screen, Travis McGowan, Josh Grajczonek, Nick Morris, James Grieves, etc 2009 - Shane Parker (we're not worthy!), Josh Grajczonek, James Grieves Yeah, horsesh!t. Aye, right!
  9. Has Craig 600k not got a Polish league fixture this Friday?
  10. Heard from an official club source that we can't be arsed riding on Friday and there's a big p155 up at the Tigers Den instead. Makes perfect sense to me.
  11. tyretrax, didn't you know the Glory Hunters, at all times, prioritise the best interests of the sport over themselves. Tut, tut.
  12. screm, is there much radioactive waste in the water down your way?
  13. This thread is being taken over by oppressive people, BSF should be closed.Pot, kettle, black.
  14. Clearly Doyle has a few things to learn about riding in the GPs, and he isn't learning too quick.
  15. The two things speedway needs to give it a chance of a brighter future is leadership and a business plan. The current system doesn't allow this. Whether it's Mr Harkess or anyone else in charge the ability to make decisions in favour of the greater good just isn't there. There's simply too much self-interest. Needs an impartial leader, not connected with any clubs. All the ideas posters come up with are well intended, but under the current system it's just moving the deck chairs in reality. Strong leadership, with decisions made within the framework of a plan is the way forward.
  16. So sorry to hear of this. RIP So sorry to hear of this. RIP
