  1. Lazily ... Spot on. Can't put a decent post out so state the obvious. No matter how much money we spend on a team, we're restricted by Sunday race day and have the same points limit as every other team ...... Doh!
  2. Promotion wise, they're not the only hurdle to overcome based on last year's vote when Glasgow applied for Friday's.
  3. Pressure is investing £1.8 million. Pressure comes with being a top team. Edinburgh have plenty of experience of such meetings and handled it well. For many of our team it's an irregular experience. They'll have gained valuable experience this weekend. Our time will come.
  4. Well done to the Monarchs. A very professional first leg, and even though they had the cup won after a few heats today, put on a good show throughout - they most certainly did not take their foot off the gas - too professional for that! Great atmosphere today, plenty of Monarchs there and despite the result being a conclusion, the noisy Tigers support gave much encouragement. Special mention to: Aaron Summers - Simply brilliant today, as you've been for many weeks. Mr Entertainer The remaining 6 Tigers riders - 100% effort throughout. The Facennas - Be encouraged by what you saw today off the track, the foundations are in place. All supporters - Great to see so many there supporting speedway, so vocal and good spirited . A great advert for our family support. Well done Edinburgh, thoroughly deserved - but keep the trophy polished for us next year!
  5. Re race day, too much invested in floodlights to be the odd midweek meeting.
  6. Must be a real dilemma for the Bathgate Beavers fans tomorrow. Support my team, see them live lift a national trophy but give my money to Them!
  7. Have to laugh at all the jealous posters on BSF who come up with the "money can't buy, etc" as if two very successful business men are "dumb and dumber". There is a plan, it's year one, and speedway is only part of the plan.
  8. Exactly. Why let the truth get in the way of making a personal point.
  9. Heat 14 and Riss is excluded. Re-run and I'm thinking Embra will still get a 5-1!
  10. Can't take anything away from Embra, better team won. Wish we'd put up more of a fight though. Did we make any starts tonight?
  11. Anyone informed Wolbert there's a burger in the Tigers Den with his name on it?
  12. This first leg is going to be a real tough one and could easily decide the aggregate outcome. June's win for the Tiger's is no indicator. We might just have been a tad underestimated by the home riders that night ... that won't happen again. As we seem to have been saying all season, we need everyone firing on all cylinders. I'm not sure I can see that happening. So I'll go for a home win, and hope we can keep it close for a return leg that'll be equally as tough. Go on boys ... prove me wrong!
  13. If only that would be reciprocated by those who get a nose bleed when they have to travel past Harthill on the M8.
  14. Are the high scores Edinburgh run up week in, week out not a factor too? If so, then surely team planning pre-season needs to be looked at? Some will argue that a lesser team may not attract as many people, but you can't have it both ways. Cut the cloth accordingly.
  15. Fully agree the team that has most points are League winners in my eyes. However, for the teams and supporters involved in the play offs there are benefits.
