  1. Nothing announced about 2015 nor 16 teams.
  2. Some Embra fans on BSF like to mix it up on BSF. Hence the Old Firm and new signing comments. Hey, whatever floats your boat.
  3. I used to deal with Rangers under Martin Bain, and easy to do business with. But so much has gone on over the last few years, and I assume personnel changes, they have much to deal with internally so understandable if they have bigger priorities. However they're easy pickings for those with a negative agenda towards them.
  4. As a Rangers supporter, I'd still rather share a pint with a Celtic one than a boring, stuck up Monarch.
  5. Thanks for that, but I have a mum already. BTW Think you've missed the point completely about Speak and Spell. But hey, it's a joke and we all know you've had a sense of humour bypass.
  6. Que? Looks like Speak and Spell needs new batteries. But thanks for the insightful and thought provoking contribution anyway. Delete
  7. Shads, not being biased here but it is stunning. We even had an enterauge from Belle Vue come up to see what we're doing with a view to potentially incorporating ideas at their new stadium. They'd only have come up if they thought it was worth the journey. Worth a visit if you ever can.
  8. Quite right it doesn't but, there's a heck of a lot more to these boys than money. They've brought fresh, different thinking to the club and that is a huge asset.
  9. We were trying to speak to him nicely when we offered him a side salad with his Tiger's burger. But somehow sauerkraut got lost in the translation.
  10. If only Two Kevs 2014 engines worked as quick as that Berlin airport burger.
  11. Contradicting yourself a wee bit there mate.
  12. You wish. Game's changed with the Facennas coming in.
  13. One league when tried before wasn't the best entertainment. Too many races with one guy way out in front.
  14. Anything is possible with Glasgow. Anything. The only folks not getting that (not suggesting you chucks) are those who ... well, do get it ... or Embra fans happy to drag everyone else down out of fear/jealousy. Start of the season, the Facennas said they had a long term plan, they've been people of their word so far. There's still plans for the stadium to come to fruition, promised changes to meeting presentation next year and team changes will be part of that. These guys think big, think outside the box and don't do things by halves. Anything is possible. Previous post I made about the Facennas buying Armadale stadium wasn't a joke. Also made one on FB about paying an inflated fee for Cook in return for Friday's. Wasn't joking. It's quite simple really to a business mind. Edinburgh need money Cook has shown a desire for money. Successful rider. Facennas have money, want success. And for the cynics, this time last season, would you have believed the Ashfield stadium you now see would have happened?
  15. Totally agree with your sentiment. However, my point is about financial viability, I'm far from stuck in the 70s when it comes to business.
  16. Of course. What do the paying public know about anything, anyway?Customers = Fools Hmm!
  17. Would it be the same number of meetings? Unless I'm missing something, how can it be if all meetings are on a Friday and season duration is the same? Stadium availability where facilities are shared and accommodating rain-offs would be issues. So why I think it wouldn't work ... 1. Sky - Do they need another Friday night sport? No. Speedway is close to being a niche sport. It currently fills an empty Monday night during summer months. By all accounts, Sky only re-signed a deal to stop BT getting it. No Sky money ... disaster. Assuming it's not the same number of meetings. 2. Speedway needs continuity for fans to get in the routine of attending. Too many other non-speedway distractions to get folks out the routine. 3. Gate money halved. 4. In stadium fans' spend on drinks, food, tat - greatly reduced. 5. Sponsors - Half the exposure, half the investment. Riders and clubs. 6. Less top class riders = lesser product = less outside investment. On the plus side, less travel and wage costs.
  18. Pedersen looked like he couldn't even be arsed with Masters. IMHO, Masters was just trying to make a name for himself and/or get in with the rider "in crowd". Wouldn't have done the same to Woffy or Hancock if either had done the same as Pedersen. Not that they probably would.
  19. Alternate weeks would be a financial disaster for clubs, can't see it working out at all.
  20. Taking into account the likely asking price, his age and current economic climate a loan may be the option as can't imagine too many clubs could afford, nor wish to pay, an outright transfer fee.
  21. We can forgive Worrall. Are we now starting to see things leaking out of BSPA via Edinburgh fans again?
  22. I actually like Sam, but he needs to curb that temper. Throwing punches does him no favours whether provoked or not. Even if you view it from a sporting POV, rather than a moral one, he's showing others his weakness.
