Really don't understand why all these points are being directed in my direction, as the gist of what you're saying has no relevance whatsoever to my OP or my thoughts on the points you raise. A lot of assumptions on my opinions on other areas being made here. I'll add to the phrase "pushing at an open door" .... grandmother and egg sucking. One point I will take up on though is folks involved with clubs using this forum as a form of fan feedback. Three things: 1. I hope they don't as any research needs to be done on a representative, robust sample. 2. I'd like to think most promoters already get their feedback face-to-face from fans on a regular basis. I strongly suspect that as successful business men they do. 3. My experience of both Glasgow and Edinburgh is that the promoters are switched on to their fans thoughts.

You're pushing at an open door here mate. My OP and thoughts are not about the content of the rule, rather Embra getting unnecessary stick, and fans unhappy the rule is written so it has loop holes for exploiting.

Totally agree. But fans shouldn't be debating what "young" is.Should be in the rule itself.

There's a theme running through the thread now suggesting Embra's decision isn't within the spirit of the rules and/or some form of exploiting a loophole. Now as you know I love a bit of banter with the Embra fans on here, but this time I'd make two points: 1. Show me one team that hasn't, in it's history, made a decision that exploits a loophole. And don't we all love it when our own promotion/management shows it's maverick, system beater side to pull a rabbit out the hat. 2. The more important point for me. This rule has just been agreed on by the promoters. Did they miss the loophole(s)? I doubt it. And yes I know the Edinburgh connection. But for me we should be pointing fingers at the promoters who signed off such a rule .... not Edinburgh for doing what's best for their team/supporters.

No worries mate. Problem with forums is unless you write war and peace each post others can misinterpret what you really mean. You'll soon get to know the real person and will find deep down we're all sound fans of good speedway racing and love our sport.

As said previously, Ashfield is not just about speedway.Edinburgh 30 years. Some might say it's because they couldn't get a buyer.

For clarity ecksact as you've only recently joined, it is pure banter between the vast majority of Tigers Monarchs on here. We all know and have discussed for many years that the two teams are better off together. We're there already. We're all good people on here, apart from one or two Monarchs (see, couldn't resist).
