I was referring to posts on this forum MrB, not what the club's party line was/is. Think you're getting a tad confused with what the BSF is really about - a discussion group rather than a vehicle for those "connected" with clubs to pretend to be something their not and use it for promotion PR purposes.
-
Thought all was well with Mitch's passport. Can we not believe everything we read on the BSF?
-
Tell that to the BSPA who agreed the date.
-
Every close season on BSF, we have fans putting forward ideas for improving the sport's future in post after post. All these well intentioned ideas put forward because the paying punters really care. But unfortunately of the people who really can make a difference - the owners/promoters - some of them are just plain amateur and just not up to the job. Speedway fans care passionately about their sport, they are your paying customers. Belle Vue tonight is quite simply a major schoolboy error. There can, and should be, no excuses. You had your chance tonight Belle Vue and totally screwed it. Totally!

Good night for Ben and Richard tonight. Let's hope it's an indication of things to come this season. Nice one boys!
-
Easy for Embra then."Hello Alex?" "Yes Alex" "We've got a passport for Mitch" "OK thanks Alex. That's your 1-7 confirmed then" "Cheers Alex" "Alex" "Yes Alex?" "Thanks for sorting out the Weegies over that semi final thing" "No worries Alex, anytime" "BTW Alex. We now have a free night night on 20th May. Never planned on a meeting that night anyway." "I know Alex" "Time for bed now Alex" "Night Alex" "Night Alex" BTW I know he stepped down last season CSI Cyclone.

With Monarch's busy schedule it's a struggle to find a free day when their fans/promotion will permit the rest of the UK to have their championship: Monday - darts tourney Tuesday - sewing bee for the men Wednesday - gin rummy Thursday - arm wrestling for the women Saturday - watching Ant & Dec

Totally agree. Fixture process should work on a pyramid basis from top down. Not top down and bottom up simultaneously and hope to meet in the middle.
-
I don't disagree with that for one minute, but and I'm making an assumption here, the BSPA should have contacted Edinburgh.Glasgow chose to do things through official channels rather than speak to Embra (rightly or wrongly), so the BSPA should not have agreed to the date proposed. Which has absolutely nothing to do with Glasgow.
-
Care to comment on the barring of Glasgow connected people from Armadale? Is that petty by the promotion?
-
An interesting statement this one as it clearly doesn't give the full story. The points made obviously aimed at appeasing Embra fans and no doubt the anti-Glasgow ones will use to further their means. It obviously falls short of referring to or making any comment on the BSPA's part in this. I wonder why? Keep the BSPA onside, or just make veiled criticism of Glasgow. Glasgow proposed this date to BSPA and they accepted it. End of. Yes, it would be better if the two promotions had open dialogue, no doubt. But they don't. Glasgow have broken no rules. Edinburgh's real beef should be with the BSPA .. but hey, why miss the chance to make a veiled criticism of Glasgow? BTW For the grammar, spelling, 'get your facts right' policeman on BSF ... being pedantic .... Glasgow announced it on Facebook in advance of the social event.

Hi DavyH, been much debate about this on here and elsewhere. Best I can make out from a reliable and knowledgeable source is that there is no rule, just a gentleman's agreement on 35 miles.
-
Going to Armadale to watch speedway. What are you doing?
-
Speaking on behalf of the promotion there?Officially?
-
As expected from you.Avoiding directly answering the points made and making unfounded accusations. And avoid the questions you know can't be defended. Where on this forum have I gone into the detail you have? Go on show us. You come on this forum periodically and vent your spleen. You clearly have an issue with Glasgow the city and its inhabitants; and the Facenna brothers. Have you ever spoken to either of them directly about these? I doubt it, as in my opinion you don't have the backbone to do it. You are a keyboard bully. You know your accusations won't be answered by the people you accuse and discredit. Recently you've added nothing to this forum but bile and distasteful disagreement with others who's opinions you don't share. Why don't you just start your own thread where you can vent your bile about everything and everyone you dislike? Then less threads will be tarnished with your cowardly posts.
-
What has that got to do with anything being said about the semi final. As usual you're just taking any opportunity to spout your bile about Glasgow and you call others bitter. You sir come across as one bitter, petty and small minded individual. If you want to talk about what promotions do, then look at your own, the one you give money to every time you attend Armadale. I, like others on here know one or two facts that you wouldn't be proud of but have the decency not to write them on a public forum. Shall we go down the road of drink driving, other riders wives/girlfriends? Also, how do you feel about one of your fellow Embra forum members, who clearly is in a privileged position, making public other team's and riders circumstances? You keep trying to place yourself and your promotion at the top of the morale high ground, the only person your fooling is your own deluded self!
-
Exactly. At last some common sense from Embra, rather than the social stereo-typing of someone living in the dark ages and the emotional jealousy of the promotion's PR representative.
-
Exactly. But do you see that when you're tunnel visioned?
-
No. Was commenting on your abilities, or otherwise, as a comedian. But hey.
-
Think you're out your depth here mate.
-
Let's be honest here guys. All of you Edinburgh fans and promotion are just jealous of Glasgow because you can't get a 'semi'.
-
Of course, the Ediburgh Website is the Oracle! PMSL Don't tell me, tell the BSPA that sanctioned the semi-final originally.
-
Edinburgh chucked cash they didn't have. Paying for rider(s) they couldn't afford. Now they have a new board of directors. Like the Murphys though .... They're not bitter.
-
All those away fans that Ediburgh hope to attract on 20th May maybe.
-
The Promotion feeling the burn now are they? And why are there new promoters in at Embra now? To take money out of the club? Really starting to scratch the bottom of the barrel when you are using emotion. So the rest of the forum can now take it that as the official mouth piece for the Embra promotion you are confirming the Edinburgh objection is personal!
