My opinion for what it's worth. With the exception of Dan Bewley, who I think we should all just be encouraging, is it's early doors yet to judge the performance of any rider this season, unless it's those with a track record of consistency who looked like they're carrying on from last year. I'm seeing Embra fans on here saying its early doors when in defence of their riders, yet others making predictions about their riders based on beating a Glasgow one early doors in the season. Hmm -

Forgive me FB but I'm hardly getting a semi at the prospect. BTW just fed the lesser talented Monarch(s) a great line there. -

Obviously Edinburgh are weaker this season. What I don't see though, is in previous years you could see several riders with the potential to really increase their average. I just don't see that now. -

On a serious note. Running on a Friday or a Sunday is not just down to attendance levels. As has been discussed on this Forum ad nauseam and elsewhere in print and internet, rider availability and other use of Ashfield are factors. The Facennas made public parts of their long term plans for their asset (Ashfield) as well as the speedway team last year, so there is a reference point if we could be bothered to Google it. If we look at attendances in isolation, again there is a reference point - Glasgow ran on Fridays at Shawfield. So anyone who attended any meetings there will have their own recollection. Yes times have moved since then, but not dynamically enough to make such a difference. Not really rocket science is it? As for the argument of which day is better for revenue boils down to: 1. Attendance mix Adult v kids. For every adult you need 18 (eighteen) kids under 11, or 3 (three) 11-15s to bring in more revenue - hardly rocket science. 2. Additional spend - Which days brings in more? Guestimate - Friday due to alcohol and food sales (skip dinner at home and buy at Ashfield). Yes, Fridays might alienate some of the current client base (myself included), but that's business. Unless you're looking for anti-Facenna ammunition. Serious note. The same poster has asked this question before. Well, last time I looked neither Mintel nor Euromonitor nor TNS nor Kantar are members of the forum. So why ask the same question again and again? Try Google for previous responses. -

Close season all we heard about was Glasgow being top heavy, long tail, etc. No evidence of that today from Glasgow, but definitely from Edinburgh. -

The only satisfaction today entertainment wise was the result. Obviously early season yet for the Monarchs and a wet track didn't help. Glasgow looked strong through 1 to 7 and it'll be interesting to see how our reserves and Lunna fair away from home. If they can at least hold their own with the home team's opposite numbers and injury's aren't too detrimental then it'll be a good season for us. Coty impressed today, so much more speed than last week. Danny - What can you say? He's a legend already. Ben - Bit more speed and quicker starts needed. Nike - Improved on last week. Richie - Growing in stature. Aaron/Richard - Reliable as ever. For Edinburgh, Masters looked superb - very fast and classy. Wolbert - usual Ashfield form, finishing position was the one he left bend 2 in. Fisher - I think this is a step backwards for all parties. Etheridge - early days. Riss - Ashfield form no different from where he left off last year, not progressed to heat leader form at Ashfield. Clegg - ditto. Young Bewley - has got balls, and speed - definitely one for the future. Well done for him mixing in this level of company. Agree with everything Cj69 says above - a very fair assessment. Good to see baba today. But coffee....? C'mon man! -

Surely Dan's mid week performance for the Colts suggests he'll score a few points even though it's a step up tomorrow. Fast times too at Friday's P&P. I'm looking forward to seeing him based on what I've read and wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he scored a few tomorrow if he's fast, all be it an unfamiliar track. -

If that means we don't have someone making sweeping false accusations about posters being drug takers and being sacked as directors, and also someone who's contributions are limited to copying and pasting from Updates then all well and good. -

First things first, have you apologised to Red Panda? Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. If you're not a grave digger by trade you should give it a go judging by the number of holes you've dug for yourself tonight. Point 1 - Let me repeat this in simple terms so you understand. I do not and will not cross that line on BSF. I don't go into that level of detail on BSF. That is not the purpose of BSF. You might find that hard to grasp, but that's the way it is. Anyway, after seeing the depths you sink to on here I wouldn't trust you with a barge pole, so nice try at trying to get yourself out the dirt tonight by getting me to dish some. Must try harder. Point 2 - I await an apology. IT IS NOT BOLLOCKS. Most definitely not. Because you can't find them doesn't mean they're not there. Just because you can't find them doesn't mean they're not in the pubic domain. Of course they bloody are, they are a limited company with directors (hint). HELLO! For goodness sake man! Just how little knowledge of the real world do you have? Last 5 years just sitting there. I will not go into detail for principles above in point 1. If you're struggling to find them ask any 10 year old in the street ... they'll help you use Google. On second thoughts, don't bother, if you find them you won't understand the meaning behind the figures. Serious question - Do you know how to fill in a programme? Awaits an apology! -

I'm not referring to that, and you know it. Also, conveniently ignoring my follow up post to The Scotsman. You're always spoiling for a fight aren't you? You're sinking fast elsewhere on BSF ... so nice try to shift the heat. However, to answer your question, we both know it's easy enough to find them through Google. Very easy indeed! Has been for a long time, but some of us don't go into that level of detail on BSF. It's you who crosses the line of decency. Apologised to Red Panda yet? -

I'm not, honest. -
For a poster so consistently demanding of accuracy in others, this is now a convenient suggestion that ambiguity and the personal interpretation of others statements as fact is acceptable when it suits. I wonder why? 1. You suggest leaving a company is down to "getting the bullet" or "resignation" ... conveniently omitting - mutual consent. 2. "From the above, does it not imply that the five ex directors did not take the initiative to step down voluntarily?" - Have you forgotten to post something proceeding this as your conclusion has no connection nor logic whatsoever. 3. "Biggest casualty" could be interpreted as his contribution to the club. Now, as you're making apologies to other posters, what about Red Panda's? Or does she need to threaten legal action before you backtrack?
