Forgot to take your tablet this morning? Have a word with yourself man. If the posts of a total stranger on a forum get you so up tight there's a problem. How can you get your knickers in such a twist that you clearly cannot see through the red mist? Is no one allowed to make observations or state opinions different to yours? And must we all answer your questions? Oh sorry if I didn't, Sir. I simply didn't answer because of your highfalutin manner in this thread; the crass nature of the question; and the underlying motivation of your posts. In other words, I don't take you seriously. Your question is an insult to the intelligence and therefore didn't deserve a response. However, if it helps you sleep better tonight I'll let you into a little secret, but don't tell anyone else ..... No I don't think a rider's main priority is to be respected by fans more than to be world champion. There you go, I actually agree with you. But, then again I wasn't born yesterday as your condescending question implies. Is this the post that brought down the red mist? "Pedersen is so far up his own backside he wouldn't give a stuff what type of rider he'll be remembered as. He'll never be to speedway what other sportsmen are to their sports." If so, then try reading it when you've calmed down, and read it for what it says. Not what you'd like it to say so that you can go off on a rant. At this point the steam must be pouring out your ears. On the positive side I've just given you plenty of ammunition to go off on the mother of all rants. Can't wait for the response! We're watching the football here and it's rank. We need cheering up, so go on give the boys a good laugh!

Get a life! I replied in jest, taking his statement literally. And you know that! Simply because I find some of what is being posted on the subject as farcical. Someone posts a comment, then it's off and running for those who want to read more into it to further their means. One comment ain't DNA. Maybe I was replying to this part of the post. Eh? "If you or George M think otherwise, you're completely and utterly deluded." You've continually confused observations I've made with what you think is my opinion and you are wide of the mark. No chance of you understanding someone else's posts if you don't even understand your own!

If I remember right the majority if not all (I stand to be corrected) Glasgow fans on BSF were, utterly appalled and embarrassed by what happened and said so on here. We didn't hold back and riders and promotion got both barrels. What is becoming tiresome is the selective memory of some on here (not suggesting you) and others who weren't members at the time assuming otherwise (not suggesting you). The Glasgow fans on here really don't need their noses rubbing in the dirt, we felt the hurt more than anyone else. Trust me! You're pushing at an open door. If you weren't on here at the time, trust me we really weren't happy and made that quite clear. We paid good money and transport costs to get to Armadale too!

You're both missing the point that Monster could easily be taken over tomorrow, as per AG Barr/ Britvic merger. So where does that leave the sport. If you wish to take a short term view on the sport that's your prerogative. I suppose the dates for next years SGP don't really need to be arranged n advance! But as you say let's keep on "hoping"!

The reaction of sponsors and potential sponsors should not be forgotten. Speedway has limited appeal as many multi national companies wouldn't touch it with a barge pole because of the dangers associated with it. Just compare the household names sponsoring the sport in the 70s and 80s versus the names you see today. Very few. For some companies the 'risks' associated with the dangers and/or rider behaviour is a small issue, due the exposure they get. Also for some, the dangers tie in with the image they wish for their brand. That works for a small company. If we take Monster, as an example. The sport ties in nicely with the image they want. However, Monster could easily be taken over by a multi-national any day. This week alone AG Barr and Britivic are discussing a merger in the UK. If a multi-national did take over the brand, it joins a stable of brands and gets treated like the rest. It's maverick image would be dumbed down. In a multi-national, lawyers have a massive say in things. So we have a dangerous sport, riders mis-behaving to a large TV audience. Sorry marketing boys, too risky! Speedway cannot afford to lose sponsors of this scale. All broadcasters have control over what they show there is a delayed transmission facility. Radio stations use it on phone-ins all the time. Sky chose not to use it as they are in competition with other TV channels (outside UK) with live broadcasts, and to delay transmission (even by 30 seconds) gives them a competitive disadvantage.

And is BWitcher an ex-rider? So your point is exactly? I wasn't talking about Stekkers in that post, see earlier one for my opinion of his commentary. Add Holder to riders who thought Pedersen was out of order. Which is consensus of impartial riders, ex riders who commented on incident. Don't need opinions of others to form my own opinion.
