Glasgow have had good results at home and adulation from the fans. But we expect the same away from home and can turn quickly if we suspect a lack of effort from individuals. -
Oh come on MrB, the whole world isn't against you.Just 99% of us.

Why would Ben do anything deliberate in a lap when the race can be awarded? -

Enjoyable evening despite the result. Heat 13 was worth the admission money alone. A blanket would have covered the four riders from start to finish, the best and closest heat I've seen in a long time. Was always going to be a struggle after being 7 points down after 2 heats, but hey, the guys got some Armadale practice ahead of June's PL meeting when the points matter. -

Monarchs Facebook page has Richie at 3. Who to believe! -
Good point. 4th bend covered area had plenty space on Sunday.

Apart from a few Embra fans on the wind up the majority of posters on BSF get the maths of running a club. The promotion won't make a profit out of running speedway at Glasgow. They're no mugs they knew that after due diligence. They'd do well to make an operating profit never mind an overall profit. Ashfield means more to them than profit and speedway. For speedway it's long term security. That means reducing operating loss. At the pre season evening they said they only made profit in 3 meetings in 2015. Just 3. It's about keeping sponsors happy too. And that's about the quality of the audience (target market) not just quantity.

All of us want to pay as little as we can for as much as we can get in return. It's human nature. However, Apple products are over priced, yet they enjoy high market share. The promotion have estimated what they think they can charge. If it's wrong they'll change it. If it works then it's well done to them. Apologies for repeating this, but the total revenue stream is not all about the total attendance times the entry price.

He's in the same boat as many other EL riders. Big difference between him and them is he was creaming it in last year and now he's feeling it.

Hence in Scotland we'll eat by the truck load.Until wee Sturgeon bans it. -
Polish teams system isn't ideal from a rider's POV, however anyone signing on the dotted line knows this beforehand.

The first meeting of the season for speedway's Old Firm at Armadale and an intriguing fixture. With Tigers qualified for the Semi Finals already all that's at stake is braggin' rights. Did I say "all"? The Monarchs are still bedding in. A good away win at Berwick suggested things were heading in the right direction. However, home wins have seen the expected high scores from the top 4 and less than convincing from the rest. Much depends on how the latter fare. The hosts will certainly want a good result to get some momentum going and avenge their Ashfield defeat. For The Chosen Few, unless something changes mid-week we're back to a fully fit team. A few with Armadale experience, some not. Time to get some track practice before June's PL fixture. Can't wait to see the races between Masters and Richie (note the Chatzone rider naming style there!). For me, just want to see a meeting take place; Tigers fans making their presence felt with plenty of red and white, and noise; and some exciting racing. Of course I'd like to see us drub them, but with the Semi Final place booked and a full-on schedule of meetings in coming weeks - not least a British Semi Final for some of our boys - I just want to see 7 fully fit riders driving away from Armadale. Teams - TBC. We all know the riders anyway. For The Chosen Few it's whether or not Stewart does a tactical change with the riding order from P'boro meeting. Hope the weather's kind and Glasgow Fans let's repeat the atmosphere from Berwick - Bring your flag!!! -

Not disagreeing with anyone's POV about single adult ticket prices, but here's a different perspective. Glasgow is focussing on family entertainment, hence's all the activities aimed at kids. (Suspect with an eye on future support). This Friday I'm taking 3 eleven year olds to Armadale, cost £23 (standard, not advanced online). For Ashfield cost = £20. Cheaper. Many posts here are from an adult/single perspective. -

Must be frustrating for Danny scoring double figures for Kent one day and then single for Glasgow. It's just the way it is. He's the only one inside Ashfield beating him up! We're all patient. When he learns to live with it he'll come good. It was an all round much better experience today. For those with a decent distant to travel home it does make quite a difference to get home earlier. -
How often do you visit Armadale?

Is that Berwick or Edinburgh as neither has one?
