  1. Your prerogative, just saying you would be supporting a good cause.
  2. Why not just come up and support a good cause?
  3. At yesterday's Ashfield practice Rasmus looked very fast and confident, Claus equally so. Was impressed with Aaron's speed at the Bordernapolis, Coty the same when in front. Leon looked confident and he knows Ashfield well enough. This is a tough opener for the Tigers, we might even look back later on and realise it's been our biggest test of the season.
  4. Thought I'd check out your claim about GHT. So I just phoned Grant and he says you're "talking sh1te".
  5. Does it really matter if it's sponsors colours? You bet it does 100%. Think of an airlines that's orange - EasyJet Think of a chocolate that's purple - Cadburys Why do you think companies copyright? Of course it matters.
  6. I cannot believe the postings of those who back the club's stance on this matter. Totally naive, small minded and frankly come across as money grabbers! However, that's your choice and it's a free world. But let me explain, using finance as a basis (no point in wasting my time talking about principles), as to why I disagree with you 100% that club sponsors are more important than individual rider ones. Why finance? Because that is all you seem to think is important - hence "money grabbers". ALL sponsors are important. Every single one. Whether it's a fan or a large company. A donation is a donation. People give what they can. Collectively, rider sponsorship will undoubtedly come to a higher total of money than that of total club sponsors in the UK. Do the maths! So, you p... off rider sponsors and guess what happens next year? Riders have less financial support and they go to clubs for higher wages. Clubs then either meet those demands - and the admission price increases. We all know what the result of that is on BSF - moan, moan, moan - "15 minutes of riding for £X, not worth it, I'm not going back, burning my season ticket". Or if they don't meet those demands, riders have poorer equipment and guess what happens on BSF - moan, moan, moan - "the racing is cr4p - 15 minutes of follow the leader, I'm not going back, etc"! Yes, it then comes down to YOUR MONEY and you're getting value for it. Ah! But it's different when it comes down to your money. Sponsors money doesn't matter, we take that for granted. And guess what sponsors want? No different from you. Waken up, take your blinkers off, join the real world outside of your club and get real!
  7. How can any promoter expect a sponsor to have its logo in black and white? Total arrogance or naivety. Shooting themselves in the foot!
  8. Said like a true member of the Edinburgh promotion.
  9. Where's Blobby? Gone very quiet since Peter Facenna's statement.
  10. As Kyle said last night at the Tigers Supporters meeting - it was his plan to spend two years at Workington, one to develop, understand the track and build his confidence, the second to capitalise on the first. His words, not mine.
  11. Maybe you've not fully digested Peter's statement, or understood the relevant parts. Joe's actions went beyond the realms of Glasgow Tigers speedway. Allied Vehicles are a major employer in Glasgow - they employ over 600 people. Their reputation was put at risk with the hotel chain, the Chief Fire officer and the significant number of hotel guests who had to evacuate their rooms and stand in a car park in the middle of the night. I'm confident some, if not significantly more, of those guests would have been complaining at reception the next morning. So if you were the Glasgow promotion and weighed up the full extent of Joe's actions and the potential impact on your major business - would the availability of a replacement rider be in the forefront of your mind? I very much doubt it.
  12. Correct. It's a team build. So why not have your full team there?
  13. Aye right. If you'd been aware of that there's no way your ego would have stopped you posting it here. Nice try.
  14. Do you ever stop rubbish stirring Blobby? No one with more than one brain cell would seriously believe that would be the sole reason, unless they are a legend in their own lunchtime.
  15. We'll no doubt have to endure yet another show dominated by the thoughts and opinions of the narcissistic Graham. Doubt Derek will get the last word in on anything. Not that he ever does.
