Watched this GP from home and thought it was a good show the racing was the best that i have seen in a GP for a while. The referee was consistent up until the 2nd semi. Felt Nicki Pedersen was unlucky to be excluded but he accepted it with a more grace than on other occasions, maybe he is accepting this is just not a good year for him.
The Nicholls and Sayfutdinov incident was a heat of the moment thing that shouldn't of happened but think it was a partially a result of frustration on both riders parts. Sayfutdinov is young and inexperienced rider who lost his temper but Nicholls could have rode away, he is the more experienced rider. Nicholls after all was the first to instigate physical contact, had that not happened then i think it would have stayed at just words, it also looked to me that it was Nicholls that turned the bike to stop Sayfutdinov from getting around the pit gate, originally i'd have said Sayfutdinov was to blame for them going into the pit gate but not after seeing the replay of it. At the end of the day they were both to blame and by the sound of it have picked up fines. Hopefully a lesson has been learnt and in time the Russian will calm down just at the moment he is young and inexperienced.
Jason Crump looked unstoppable all night and was pretty clear baring any mechanical problems was on for the win, he had looked so quick all night.
I’m happy Hans Andersens form has improved he said in one of the interviews that riding in Britain again had helped him and good on him for admitting his mistakes. Can't see the problem with him riding Sayfutdinovs bike it was a nice gesture by the Russian and to me it looked like Hans was a bit uncomfortable on it.
Over all thought the meeting was a good advert for speedway and reminded me why i enjoy watching speedway.
