If current SGP top 6 will hold Lambert and Kvech will go through from GP challenge. I also think a Pz Pawlicki and Ledbedevs might be considered for wild cards together with Madsen and Woffinden (if he wants it). However I think Jack Holder might end outside top 6 due to injury and if so he has earned a wild card IMO.

Well they decided to wait for the rain to stop and will start prep the track (started a few minutes ago). We'll see if and when they get going again. I left the track one hour ago, didn't fancy sitting there another hour for the rain to stop and then another 60-90 minutes for the track to be graded for just 5 heats (best case scenario)..

Maybe, but there are some differences though. Edinburgh wasn't really known by most of the riders in last year's GPC, but I have a weak memory of that Kim Nilsson had been to Edinburgh before? The track was also really bad which I think suited Kim (which is why he also was successful at German GP). Gislaved track though is very well know among most of the riders and track is usually in good condition (although perhaps not always great racing). Therefore I think the likeliness of surprises are much smaller, especially since it's a very big track 380m. I think Doyle+Vaculik + Pawlickis are favourites, possible also Lebedevs .

Indianerna are safe (13 p). Lejonen, Piraterna and Rospiggarna have 11p. In theory Smederna could pass Lejonen and Piraterna even without claiming bonus. However Piraterna wont loose against Indianerna. Lejonen vs Västervik could end with a Västervik win if they care, but they are already league winners. Then there is also the points quota to take into account. Advantage Lejonen for that. Therefore Smederna needs to win + aggregated bonus, think Smederna will win but not with enough, lets say 48-42.

Apparently ESS have suddenly decided that Timo Lahti is not allowed to use his Swedish licence in Elitserien despite that Rospiggarna have done so for many years. My opinion is still the same. A rider should be able to seek citizenship and licence in any country with a FIM-associated national federation, but it should only be one licence /season and no switching back and forth.

All three meetings in the final round have been moved 1 week to 15 August. The reason is that the weather forecasts looks bad and that It has rained so much the past week and past month. First quarter finals will be held 22 August and Svemo+ESS are looking into possibility of comprimate play off so that the final can be held at the original planned date (weather permitting if course).
